Iceland: The Elements - Travel Vignette

Iceland is raw, dazzling, unadulterated nature. Thunderous waterfalls gush into icy pools. Blinding white snowstorms swallow up concrete roads. Giant waves roar and spill onto black sand beaches.
Iceland’s geography is a true gift. Experiencing the wildness of its seasons firsthand and hearing from Icelandic locals about erratic weather and glaciers melting has made the climate crisis feel much more tangible to me. That Iceland could lose its icescape is devastating, and the concept becomes alarmingly more concrete as days go by without urgent global action.
