My Quince silk skirts are some of my most-worn items, too, I love them. Pure comfort and they look fantastic.

I love your most-worn videos and I started tracking myself a couple of years ago; you inspired me! For me in 2022 my most worn included basic tees, straight leg denim jeans, basic sweatshirts, basic dresses, my denim jacket, knits in white, beige and a stripe (you'd be proud!) white sneakers and sandals in staple colours. This is a surprise as I wear a lot of colour so I wouldn't have expected so many neutrals in my most worn, but I guess these are the things I pair with the brighter, joy-giving wardrobe pieces so this makes sense in hindsight. Happy New Year, wishing you only the good stuff in 2023 x
It's funny isn't? That there's such a divide between how we perceive our most worn to what is *actually* our most worn. I'd tracked what I wore in my early twenties (my aim was to reach 30+ wears for every item I owned), and it was reflecting on my most worn that made me decide to take up the practice once again :) Always love seeing which items it is that I've worn the most. Happy new year! The dedication tracking the items wear! Great to see your pieces and how your most worm has ever so slightly evolved over time, but is still very true to you. I really enjoy most worn videos because it shows what is truly seamless and comfortable to you, and you give very detailed assessments which are useful. One small suggestion I’d make is to see if you can equalise them volume of your narrated voice overs vs in person voice over - there is a bit of a volume shift at times in your videos depending how you recorded audio. It’s not a big issue for me as I listen to you out loud, but it can be a touch jarring :)
Happy New Year to you too Jess! It's funny to me to reflect on how similar my items are each year - very clear that I have favourite styles in my closet. I would love to see a little more colour or some wild card items pop up for 2023 so we will see hehe.
And thank you for the feedback - I've been having some issues with my microphone lately. I feel like audio is the *trickiest* part of filming to get right. The voice over was actually more of an addition as I wanted the. video to be more succinct (I think it was over 30 mins with my original recording... which felt a little too long haha!), and I mustn't have gotten the transitions right between the camera with microphone recording, and the recording from my phone. So sorry - completely agree it can be a bit of an "experience" for the ears. Will make sure to keep a closer eye on this for the next one, thank you!! xx

Happy New Year Jamie! You sound like you have changed the way you speak, noticably for the voiceover. The intonation and the method of speaking sound a lot like Matilda from Matilda on video, which is also one of my favorite youtubers! :)
Happy New Year to you too! OH! I subscribed to her a few months ago and LOVE her videos. She has such a calming way of speaking. I actually think it's probably because I had typed up what I wanted to say (rather than speaking off the cuff, like I usually do), and was conscious of trying to speak slower and more clearly as it's probably the comment I receive the most frequently given my cadence is naturally quite quick. I hope it sounded okay though! :)
I absolutely hate jeans. I spent 50 years looking for jeans that would fit reasonably well, i.e., close at the waist, but not have big empty flaps of fabric over my skinny hips, but I never found one pair that did. After wasting so much time and money on pairs that didn’t really work, many thousands of dollars, over the decades, I finally gave up, at age 60. They’re made for pear-shaped women, the majority out there, not for my straightish shape. If I get them to fit the waist, they just fall off my skinny hips. I’m not going to spend anymore time walking around with both hands holding my pants up, either. I wear elastic-waist silk joggers or other pants now, they fit (the soft fabric drapes, instead of sticking out) and they stay up. Lily Silk is great, because I get them custom-sized, for free.
Those Everlane jeans were 8” too big around my hips, but way too tight in the waist, donated them.
My MIL is also very narrow hipped (and very slim legs!) and you know, I don't think I've *ever* seen her wearing a pair of jeans. And this must be why!
Loooove that black blazer!!! What was the alternative version? Hide street?

Jamie, did you end up buying the Lee Matthews silk skirt? I’ve been looking for something similar but preferably a bit cheaper. 😉 It looks like a nice fit as I’m looking for more of a straight, slightly flowy fit rather than a fitted bias cut. I bought a satin bias cut skirt from Mango which is ok but I’m returning it. There is a black midi satin skirt by Leset on Net-a-Porter that I like the look of and the price isn’t bad. The Silk Laundry silk skirt looks gorgeous but $$$. Maybe it’s worth splurging on 🤔

Happy New Year Cathy! No, I haven't ended up buying it yet. I keep waiting to see if it will go on sale (my friend managed to get the red one for $20!! from David Jones!! crazy) but I'm not liking my chances. An item I would really like to buy this year, I think I just keep putting it off as it's one of those more expensive "boring" purchases?
I haven't tried Leset but a friend has a couple of their items. Have you also looked at the DISSH satin maxi skirt? I tried on the ivory version in my speed review (last video) and I like it but think the black would have been better. Though it does crease up a bit...

Do you mean wide strap? Or us it really thicker, like with padding or something?
Are you talking about the sandals? What I was referring to was how there is a wide gap between the two curved pieces on the Wittner pair, whereas on the YSL pair it is much closer together. I'm probably still not even explaining this right but if you look at a front on visual of both you might get more of a sense of what I mean

I purchased mine from FARFETCH (rather than direct from Acne as I wasn't sure if I'd love it and wanted to be able to return it easily - if you buy direct from Acne they make you return it to Sweden at your own cost)... so, I'm not sure whether I quite have the same options? Perhaps I'll check next time I walk past one of their stores
