I wanted the 1080p when I ordered mine. I don't have anything to watch 4k on and I ain't gonna get anything any time soon. These old eyes are happy with 1080p. I won't get it till tues of next week. I had another drone that didn't have fpv and it didn't make it past the first 6 min flight. It quit responding to the transmitter and started wobbling violently and crashed. I think that might have been a good thing as I was leery about getting a replacement for it because I've seen others having problems with the same model. The Chroma will be my first fpv drone so I excited to get it. The transmitter for the Chroma looks fantastic. I love the telemetry part so I will know how far, where, and battery strength. enjoyed the video
Hey Justin, Can you do a comparison video of the Phantom 3 4K camera features and the Chroma 4K camera features? I see that the Phantom 3 camera ISO, exposure, and shutter speed can be controlled remotely. Does that feature exist for the Chroma 4K?
Jim Simmonds if I had my pic? DJI S1000! Or well a Phantom 3 or Chroma will do the job. Stay upwind of the smoke and water. Don't fly directly over the fire. The downdraft will suck the drone in. - JD
Hi, I just ordered a Chroma with the 1080p and although I am learning a bunch about the drone before I ever get it. I have flown drones and have 3 of them along with (to many) rc planes and a chopper. Anyway, I digress...With all the information I have yet to see anything about the camera function, that is, how does it store the data, is it a mini sd, or do you download directly to computer with cable? If it is a sd card, where does it go in and out of the camera???? Really enjoying the informative videos. God Bless Bob Durand Mi
Raymond Nerona YES! We have been flying it daily and really putting it through some tests. So far everyone that sees it is very impressed with it. Especially the radio and the extended flight time. What I like most is availability of spare parts.
Hey, why do you mail your batteries to your destination? Have you had issues getting them on the plane? I have a Phantom 3, two batteries, and a carry-on sized backpack with it. I'm going to Hawaii Wednesday and I'm hoping I can get everything onboard. I have a lipo safe battery bag also.
Drone Camps RC Yep I would get rid of my DJI Inspire and get the Chroma.. And Im sure a lot of others would also, I hope Blade is working on a radio upgrade to have HDMI out Im having a blast with my Headplays and Zeiss Cinemizers on the inspire but would like the Chroma instead
I somehow don't believe the Chroma drone will get anywhere near a 30 minute flight time. I'd be surprised if it will do much more than 20 minutes. It also reminds of the yuneec q500
Excellent video and comparison with the P3. Thanks for posting.
***** you are most welcome!
Thanks for the 411 justin. You got me sold on the chroma

very similar to the typhoon. i like the way it comes apart. can you swap the 4k camera version on this chroma.
James Tepedino yes it can be swapped.

if there was a fire and you could only take one of the drones, which one would you take?

Hey justin, aloha from honolulu. Did you fly the chroma yet? Anxious to hear your results
Raymond Nerona YES! We have been flying it daily and really putting it through some tests. So far everyone that sees it is very impressed with it. Especially the radio and the extended flight time. What I like most is availability of spare parts.
Is there a way to extend the range on the chroma.
Hey justin, did you get to fly the chroma in stability and agility modes yet? How long is the flight time with the camera on?
Raymond Nerona I didn't play around with agility yet. The flight time is close to 28mins with camera in our tests.

+Ralinebe Lipos are cool just not in checked bags just like ecigs it must be in carry on
Hey is there an HDMI out on the radio? And you suggested to mail battery's instead of packing them is that a law now?
Eloy Garcia No but that wood be super awesome!
Eloy Garcia Why?
30 minutes in the air is solid! Not the prettiest of drones but that flight time will sell.
OXS Enterprises we are loving flying it. Flies super smooth and the camera and gimbal perform smooth as glass.
I have heard that a bigger propeller needs less rpm for the same thrust, which leads to less noise. Is it true?
+Thomas Bezençon true.
if i have a yuneec st10+ can i get it to work with the Chroma??
Remote Chief Yes I believe it should work. You might have to update the ST10+ firmware.
thx for u vid. Go on...

Ben7seven7 after we did field testing for a week now we are happy to report the 30min flight time is true.
Nice, Thanks for the update.
Nicely done... but not for me.
VideoBlanket we are enjoying it!
The chroma's camera resembles GLaDOS
