regarding the funereal scene everyone reacts to trauma differently jake disassociates and numbs himself its shown more in the second movie tho so i dont blame you for not picking on it
I don't know if anyone else answered but I think the forest never caught fire cause it's moist there it's a rainforest type place, so it -can- catch but not like dried up forests you know? ^^
I have loved this movie for years. When I went to Disney World last year and got to go into the Pandora part of Animal Kingdom I almost cried. It was one of the most magical feelings! To make it even cooler, as soon as I got off the ride that feels like you're riding a banchee the first teaser for the Way of Water came out. I got to watch it in Pandora!
I actually just look it up today cus I just saw the second one and I was curious, but the Na'vi world is apparently in the alpha centauri star system, the closest stars to Earth. 23.5 trillion miles from us(4.3 light-years)..at least in this movies universe.

In Avatar 2 they explain why they can speak english, Jake learned their language so when they speak "it basically sounds like english"

Also the Na'vi language is an actual entire language constructed for the movie, and you can learn it if you so desire.
