@@Nikita_Akashya The "trash" units amount to like 4 units in the whole game, so really I dont consider it an issue aside the fact that Fiona's stats are literally that bad because of an oversight.

Actually I just sent Haar in to bring the Commander on which i forgot his name to be in line of fire of Calili's Meteors and won the map that way. Fun defense map, sucks I made it go by so fast.
I actually had Elincia as a dedicated physic healer with leanne dancing her, then I realized she did 40 damage to boss, and just annihilated him with her.

Oh yeah those...yeah you gotta converse in battle...and it's all one directional so the second unit can respond like a robot. And everyone can only support with one at a time so you have to break your current support if you want to see a conversation with someone else. LOL They thought this one out so NOT well at all.
Fucken ay. With the amount of conversations between Ike and Ranulf that have convinced me that they are totes gay for each other, fuck knows why we couldn't have support conversations to seal that deal.
funny thing in my run actually, when Ike and Mia got close and he warped, he put himself directly into Rolf's range since I had him taking out some lingering units in the bottom left corner. He died instantly next turn and it couldn't have been better.
Miciaciah, jill sothe edward, volug and nolan and naliah are the only characters i like using. Tarenebro is great but his avability is annoying... also when one of the four riders get turned into a supply runner

Sothe's caps in Dawn are literally the only reason he is mediocre late game. Solid bases even without transfers, and great growths. But no, he has to cap Str at 28 as a Whisper, and get Bane as a master skill. Well played IS, well played.
FE: Radiant Dawn may be my favorite game, but god damn this video is so fuckin accurate and relatable "Is Haar even good in this game? Naaaah, he'll just slaughter the entire enemy army and take like 2 damage, but he alright"
Ah, the Dawn Brigade. I'll admit, Micaiah's actually my favorite character, and I thought it was really interesting that the story starts out by exploring the ramifications of Ike's actions in the first game. Like, the Greil Mercenaries had to take down Ashnard, but in doing so, took out the last remaining person with any claim to the Daein throne, then passed leadership over to Begnion, which immediately started abusing their power. Micaiah's dislike of Ike over that always felt sensible to me, and that distrust and contempt for the people who allowed their country to be ravaged set the stage for interesting conflict between Daein's return to power, and the tensions that could cause for Crimea. Adding the Black Knight to Micaiah's side escalates it further. When he joins, it's a sigh of relief for Micaiah and the Dawn Brigade, who desperately need the help in combat. But you know this means Ike will have to fight him again, and having Black Knight fighting for a cause that could've had legitimacy added a lot of weight to that inevitable conflict. It's just a shame they all suck in combat so all their segments are Not Fun to play (especially in Part 3, good lord), Izuka's existence completely undermines any sense of legitimacy the group had, and that their motivation to keep fighting is overwhelmingly contrived thanks to the nonsense Blood Pact plotline. Part 1 had such a solid concept that just...played out so, so terribly for the entire game.
I agree with everything here- I force myself to grind 5-10 levels on the final boss of part 1 with 3-4 of the units so that the Dawn Brigade is comparable (although still so much weaker) with the Greil mercenaries in part 3- most of the units remain trash but having a decent Edward, Nolan, Jill, and Volug make part 3 a lot better for the Daein chapters. I think the story would have been alot better without the blood pacts. Get Daein involved when a rouge group of Skimmir's troops sacks a Daein town and forces the Daein armies hand into the conflict instead of dumb blood pact related reasons. Make it a necessity for retaliation for the legitimacy of the regime that Micaiah and Pelleus loose control over instead of what looks like needless pandering to Begnion.

And Edward is still my favorite character. He's such a precious cinnamon roll. We really need a Tellius Remake. I wanna know more about the newer characters and I want them to be usable in some way. Meg is so useless, that Aran makes for a better armor unit then her. I really like Aran and Laura. Why don't they have a paired ending? They were so cute together. And I want a paired ending for Rhys and Mia. I loved their Supports in PoR. And why is there no ending for Ike and Elincia? I know he leaves, but no one can convince me that Elincia isn't Hardcore in Love with him. (Go away Geoffrey, I hate you) And maybe we can get a Genealogy Remake If we beg hard enough. Does anyone know how to contact Nintendo? I bet if we Start a Petition or something with enough Support, we may be able to convince Nintendo that it's going to sell well. But we all have to buy it, or else they won't listen to us again, k?

@@arcanus5120 I once raised a very overpowered Edward, who I used to defeat Ike in that one defense chapter, and He capped out every single stat before reaching max level. And I didn't give him any stat boosters.
@@Nikita_Akashya, that's regular for Edward, unsurprisingly. Out of everyone in the entirety of the Dawn Brigade, raising Edward was the easiest and, as it turns out, the most OP option out of everyone in the DB.
It always irks me a little bit that most people don’t realize that the “No, it’s just a bird” line is said by the soldier sarcastically, as to not to alert Micaiah that spthey are onto her - as both indicated by the complicit nod fom the soldier speaking the line and the soldier that catches her afterwards explocitly saying that they realized it was her.
When I saw the soldier suddenly appear when I played I realised this and was like "THESE GUY ARE GENIUSES!" The fact that it tricked people meant they guys played it well
I always figured people got that the soldier was being sarcastic and that we where laughing at the bad VA in that line and well just the memeability of it
Yeah on my 1st playthrough i noticed that and was like "well shit". But then I heard the soldier literally go HA HA HA and rolled out of my bed laughing. That was such bad voice acting for an otherwise decently voiced scene
Dawn brigade has good units. Nolan is better than boyd, zihark is on par with mia, volug is a beast(no pun intended), jill is probably the best character in the game considering her contributions. Hell, even laura is usable, shes the only dawn brigade member that can 1turn 3-13 if she is promoted and has adept and a purge tome. And lets not forget sothe.
Bismix Yo real gamers kill him on turn 2 with Tibarn. Legit I didn’t even know he warped around until I watched Mang’s play through. I just wanted to end the map quickly after 5(sorta 6) route maps.
My Izuka warped right next to Zihark who was killing some fodder in a corner of the map. AND he had a boss convo! That was neat but I was seething at first since Tibarn and Ulki had been about to slaughter Izuka
This made me remember the up letge crit in Mangs lp (1-E) ! Man, the Tellius are really great games, even though Radiant Dawn felt like wasted potential at times. Seeing Ike goes from small guy to surpassing the man he aspired to was such a great time !
@@torashiki5646 except Nolan gets doubled by everything and has terrible res, not to mention terrible accuracy due to axe lock; Edward is just downgraded Zihark but definitely not an est (cough lene cough) with enough bexp they're probably the most serviceable members of the actual Dawn Brigade but that investment is probably better made in Jill

I've always thought that, if they ever decide to revisit Tellius, it would be pretty amazing to have a Zelgius prequel. See his childhood as a Branded, being taken in by Lehran, trained by Greil, joining the Daein army as the Black Knight and leading a double life a Begnion general. He has so much lore and there are so many interesting characters he interacts with. We also wouldn't have to worry about him being a wishy washy little brat like more recent lords :D
I miss the Third Tier classes from this. Higher Stat caps, automatically getting best skills (like Luna & Sol), getting that 'Heroic' outfit (Gatrie as a Marshall was badass, nevermind how amazing Lucia and Mia looked as Trueblades).
LMAO GREAT VIDEO Radiant Dawn is definitely...a tough one to recommend. It's a much better game on repeat playthroughs. I REALLY didn't like RD for the longest time until I played it again. Then, I really fell in love with it (even with its glaring flaws). Blood Pact sucks tho.
Mamodxx Yeah I gotta go back and replay RD on hard mode to get the full experience I think cause a lot of my friends were telling me to do that. I’d probably put PoR just a little bit over RD rn but I enjoy the two Tellius games very much so! And yeah the blood pact part sucked. >_
As a Micaiah fan, all of those stuff does hurt, but it was really funny, i freaking laughed at the video a lot. Also thanks for putting Jill in DB, IS. Also, Sephiram op as playable unit.
No, it was just the Gamecube. Unironically it probably was that. GC didn't have good sales as a system so the fairly niche (especially at the time) SRPG entry had even less audience than it would have on any other console. Then RD was a direct sequel to a game nobody bought.

PoR didnt sell because it got released extremely late on an already dead console, and no marketing. RD didnt sell because it was a sequel, it was also poorly released when it came to date (same week as *Mario Galaxy*), the Wii was a dead sentence for most JRPG and derivates of the genre (because like 80% of the sales of the Wii were for family/casual/kids purposes, so no demographic, which is why half the JRPG games for the Wii had to be forced to be released outside Japan), and again no marketing. Oh and both games had non-existant printing runs, so it a lot of places they didnt sell more because there werent more copies, hence the steep price of the games right now. In fact, most FE games since Thraccia until Awakening were pretty much screwed by shoddy release dates, low amount of copies and literally no marketing.
@@torashiki5646 Not to mention here in the west the amount of complaining about high difficulty from reviewers in RD due to the lack of adjustment to what PoR had done (easier difficulty for west, removed maniac mode) so it was seemingly immensely harder than PoR despite it just being naming conventions
Oh man, this is now my second-favorite Fire Emblem after Three Houses stole its thunder. ...And now I'm starting to see why my best friend and I felt like the only people who enjoyed this masterpiece.
I’ve long been of the mind that Three Houses was the best Fire Emblem since Radiant Dawn. Tellius (or Ike Saga as I like to call it) was definitely a high point for the series in a lot of ways.

This is my absolute favorite Fire Emblem game. I could relate to basically everything - Especially bringing all the Laguz kings into the final chapter.
Radiant Dawn is my second favorite fire emblem game. This is actually all very true saddly. Especially the part 3 "No why am i back with the dawn brigade i was having fun." And I LIKE most of them.
As someone who loved Sothe in PoR, I was so happy he carried early chapters and got his own unique advancement! What do you mean, by the end of the game he'll be about as good as he was in PoR endgame?
I legitimately can’t think of any other Wii exclusive game that has no motion or pointer controls whatsoever. Like, motion controls wouldn’t make sense, but the pointer would’ve been nice for menus.
I still remember IGN's or Gamespot's review for RD complaining that there was nothing to do with Miis in the game. So it wasn't using the Wii's full potential.
god I love this game. My favorite game of all time. It saddens me that heroes spoiled BK identity, really was one of the three great twists in the series. I love the dawn brigade chapters. The ones in part three give me a thrill like no other chapters in the series besides the escape monster arc
AH YES THE BRIDGE, IV'E BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. AND HE MENTIONED THE CROSSBOWS. So during my first run of RD, nearing the end of bridge map, Tibarn decided, let's canto into the boss, who just so happened to be a warrior with a Crossbow, i don't think i need to spell out what happened during the next turn.

i always enjoyed the majority of dawn brigade chapters more, i enjoy watching my units grow quickly, thats what made parts 2 and 3 a drag, it took like 3 chapters before anyone actually leveled up.
^If they started off busted I doubt anyone would replay this game much or get satisfaction from training anyone. The game offers a lot of alternatives to different players and challenges. If people just want to use the Laguz royals to see if they'll actually ever get hit then they can do that lol
Even though Radiant Dawn is my legit favorite game in the franchise, I can see all of the points he his making. That being said, I love the Dawn Brigade to death, even more than the Greil Mercenaries. I really want a PoR-RD remake that puts both into a single game and fixes RDs many issues.
this was my 1st Fire Emblem. Stumbled across it when I worked at Blockbuster. I sincerely hope it and PoR get remade. Easily one of my favorite games and/or series. No other FE title has grabbed my interest yet. Didn't care for Three Houses at all
"This game has 70+ characters, but you can only bring 10 to the Endgame. Game design!" My first thought was exactly that. To say this game got rushed would be an understatement. Latter half of part 3 and part 4 were lackluster, but Endgame not even having one or two defend chapters with the those who fight in front of the tower was really dissapointing. I had like 20 combat ready units that i wanted to bring and then it turns out i shouldn't have bothered.

I love how as soon as Fiona joins, every Dawn Brigade chapter is basically bad for cavaliers.
Doesnt help that Fiona's stats were left on level 1 of a normal cavalier by oversight.

I honestly didn't miss support convos. Feels like a chore a lot of the time. Glad they gave the character moments as part of the story.

@@Nikita_Akashya, that's regular for Edward, unsurprisingly. Out of everyone in the entirety of the Dawn Brigade, raising Edward was the easiest and, as it turns out, the most OP option out of everyone in the DB.
It always irks me a little bit that most people don’t realize that the “No, it’s just a bird” line is said by the soldier sarcastically, as to not to alert Micaiah that spthey are onto her - as both indicated by the complicit nod fom the soldier speaking the line and the soldier that catches her afterwards explocitly saying that they realized it was her.

Yeah on my 1st playthrough i noticed that and was like "well shit".
But then I heard the soldier literally go HA HA HA and rolled out of my bed laughing. That was such bad voice acting for an otherwise decently voiced scene

Dawn brigade has good units. Nolan is better than boyd, zihark is on par with mia, volug is a beast(no pun intended), jill is probably the best character in the game considering her contributions. Hell, even laura is usable, shes the only dawn brigade member that can 1turn 3-13 if she is promoted and has adept and a purge tome. And lets not forget sothe.

Man, the Tellius are really great games, even though Radiant Dawn felt like wasted potential at times. Seeing Ike goes from small guy to surpassing the man he aspired to was such a great time !

I've always thought that, if they ever decide to revisit Tellius, it would be pretty amazing to have a Zelgius prequel. See his childhood as a Branded, being taken in by Lehran, trained by Greil, joining the Daein army as the Black Knight and leading a double life a Begnion general. He has so much lore and there are so many interesting characters he interacts with. We also wouldn't have to worry about him being a wishy washy little brat like more recent lords :D

I miss the Third Tier classes from this. Higher Stat caps, automatically getting best skills (like Luna & Sol), getting that 'Heroic' outfit (Gatrie as a Marshall was badass, nevermind how amazing Lucia and Mia looked as Trueblades).

Radiant Dawn is definitely...a tough one to recommend. It's a much better game on repeat playthroughs. I REALLY didn't like RD for the longest time until I played it again. Then, I really fell in love with it (even with its glaring flaws).
Blood Pact sucks tho.
Mamodxx Yeah I gotta go back and replay RD on hard mode to get the full experience I think cause a lot of my friends were telling me to do that. I’d probably put PoR just a little bit over RD rn but I enjoy the two Tellius games very much so! And yeah the blood pact part sucked. >_

I always wondered why the sales for this game were so bad. This was legit one of the best stories...was it the dawn brigade (fault)?
No, it was just the Gamecube.
Unironically it probably was that. GC didn't have good sales as a system so the fairly niche (especially at the time) SRPG entry had even less audience than it would have on any other console. Then RD was a direct sequel to a game nobody bought.

PoR didnt sell because it got released extremely late on an already dead console, and no marketing.
RD didnt sell because it was a sequel, it was also poorly released when it came to date (same week as *Mario Galaxy*), the Wii was a dead sentence for most JRPG and derivates of the genre (because like 80% of the sales of the Wii were for family/casual/kids purposes, so no demographic, which is why half the JRPG games for the Wii had to be forced to be released outside Japan), and again no marketing.
Oh and both games had non-existant printing runs, so it a lot of places they didnt sell more because there werent more copies, hence the steep price of the games right now.
In fact, most FE games since Thraccia until Awakening were pretty much screwed by shoddy release dates, low amount of copies and literally no marketing.
@@torashiki5646 Not to mention here in the west the amount of complaining about high difficulty from reviewers in RD due to the lack of adjustment to what PoR had done (easier difficulty for west, removed maniac mode) so it was seemingly immensely harder than PoR despite it just being naming conventions

I’ve long been of the mind that Three Houses was the best Fire Emblem since Radiant Dawn. Tellius (or Ike Saga as I like to call it) was definitely a high point for the series in a lot of ways.

This is my absolute favorite Fire Emblem game. I could relate to basically everything - Especially bringing all the Laguz kings into the final chapter.
Radiant dawn is my favorite in the series, probably because that was what introduced me to the series but it will always have a place in my heart

I legitimately can’t think of any other Wii exclusive game that has no motion or pointer controls whatsoever. Like, motion controls wouldn’t make sense, but the pointer would’ve been nice for menus.
I still remember IGN's or Gamespot's review for RD complaining that there was nothing to do with Miis in the game. So it wasn't using the Wii's full potential.

god I love this game. My favorite game of all time. It saddens me that heroes spoiled BK identity, really was one of the three great twists in the series. I love the dawn brigade chapters. The ones in part three give me a thrill like no other chapters in the series besides the escape monster arc

i always enjoyed the majority of dawn brigade chapters more, i enjoy watching my units grow quickly, thats what made parts 2 and 3 a drag, it took like 3 chapters before anyone actually leveled up.
^If they started off busted I doubt anyone would replay this game much or get satisfaction from training anyone. The game offers a lot of alternatives to different players and challenges. If people just want to use the Laguz royals to see if they'll actually ever get hit then they can do that lol

Even though Radiant Dawn is my legit favorite game in the franchise, I can see all of the points he his making. That being said, I love the Dawn Brigade to death, even more than the Greil Mercenaries. I really want a PoR-RD remake that puts both into a single game and fixes RDs many issues.
this was my 1st Fire Emblem. Stumbled across it when I worked at Blockbuster. I sincerely hope it and PoR get remade. Easily one of my favorite games and/or series. No other FE title has grabbed my interest yet. Didn't care for Three Houses at all

My first thought was exactly that. To say this game got rushed would be an understatement. Latter half of part 3 and part 4 were lackluster, but Endgame not even having one or two defend chapters with the those who fight in front of the tower was really dissapointing. I had like 20 combat ready units that i wanted to bring and then it turns out i shouldn't have bothered.
