This commercial is really neat, as well as superbly awesome, too. Plus, I can see what life had been like back in the 1950s (since there are some of us who refer to the 1950s as “America’s happy days” as well). 🥰🎂

I've seen a few of these and I swear they all wanted to eat messy cake with their hands. Lol

Commercial? More like an edited infomercial!
Keep in mind that, in 1951, cake mixes were new and mysterious to most home bakers. And Pillsbury and Betty Crocker had different views on making cakes. Pillsbury mixes were "complete" mixes ("Milk is all you add," proclaimed their ads), but, as you see here, Betty Crocker insisted that adding your own fresh eggs made better cakes. History has shown that add-the-eggs mixes became pretty much the rule by 1960 or so
