- WWE 2K22 is a tremendous leap leap forward compared to 2K20. The action is faster, more pick-up-and-play friendly, the roster of 160+ wrestlers has never looked better, and the addition of MyGM mode rounds out a well rounded offering of modes for just about every type of wrestling fan.

This is a perfect example why both 2K and EA should skip years and NOT release every year. Give these franchises room to truly grow. WWE2K22 is excellent!

Looks like a solid game, just want to put this out there for folks. If you don't like the MyFaction mode and the microtransactions. Make sure to not drop any money into it otherwise they'll get more aggressive with it next year or worse spread it into the actual game itself. Also if you get selected for a survey with 2k, please voice your opinion loudly about it. Other than that, have fun folks.
Wish people could realize this I've been saying this for years. I've never spent a dime on microtransactions idk what's so enticing about them. They cost more then some games and give u basically nothing 🤷.

Those old WCW arenas look amazing
The whole engine looks phenomenal. At times it looks like we're watching a real video. The main thing that gives it away is the audience, but the wrestlers and the arena look great.
@@LBPreviews Watching Goldberg come out standing in the smoke and all, it really was very convincing. Got it on pc and wow, its a huge step up from anything weve seen in a wrestling title prior.

That last UFC game was not much of an improvement over UFC 3 though. Pretty much the same game with some roster changes. I'm fine with a 2 to 3 year cycle but only intend to buy if there is a marked improvement.

That would honestly be great....but its 2K sadly. They always have to put a game out every year, which has evolved into yearly games that are pretty much the same from each other. WWE 2K games will follow suit with the NBA games
The best choice would be to have 2 or 3 studios making the WWE games so there's still an annual game but the devs have the needed time to develope the games.
It’s amazing!! You can really tell the difference between playing with a cruiser weight than a powerhouse. Not like other years where you could run with Bobby Lashley like you were Rey Mysterio

@@Hunter-qt2sx you obviously can (since you can edit the superstars move set) my point was more as in previous years Roman Reigns moved, attacked and reacted as fast as Kofi Kingston, which balance wise made all the cruiser weights and small wrestlers useless.
Playing with small guys like Finn balor or AJ styles feels so refreshing, they're so quick and agile

NBA 2K, Madden (ESPECIALLY!), and Call of Duty.... This game shows exactly why games shouldn't be released yearly. Give the devs time to make the games great!

Gameplay and graphics fantastic. If only they added few more new match types and more depth to universe mode and gm mode this could of gotten 10 easily

The only thing that bothers me is the opponent recovers way too quickly. The finishers should be a lot more powerful, or at least we should be given that option.

It feels like a fun hybrid between Shut Your Mouth and SVR 07 and I’m all here for it
As a huge wrestling fan I’m happy they got rid of stamina and reversal stock it honestly killed the fun for me

Me and my buddies have been playing 2019 and skipped 2020 and having a blast with the hilarious characters we would create and we had our last all out match the other night now onto the future

SvR 2008 was a goated entry in the series. I’m glad to see a callback to it
SvR is when the series started to go downhill imo. Here Comes the Pain was the peak.

Back in the day, you were a living and breathing WWE superstar. Now it seems you're playing a WWE simulator where you're an actor practicing cutting promos and working on your gimmick. Completely unimmersive.
The game is a lot of fun. Hopefully they get the server issues taken care of

GM Mode is from 15 weeks up to 50 weeks by the way in case anybody needed to know. In the video it may be confusing as he only mentions it being 15 weeks.

That Rey Mysterio mode might be the best showcase mode ever I’m even putting it over stone colds the presentation is A1 Jesus the transitions during the match and seeing the actual video happen during the match is crazy

GM Mode is back?? Sold! - Despite the reviewer thinking it's a 'niche' mode, so many people absolutely loved this mode in smackdown vs raw 2006, 2007 and somewhat 2008. I'm thrilled it's been brought back!

Nice to hear they went back to the faster-paced, arcade-like gameplay. HCTP and SDSYM was the golden era for me. Hopefully they continue with the two-year development cycle over an annual release to ensure this level of polish.

Just came here after watching an elimination chamber gameplay with the rock and cena going in and out of the ropes for awhile. Looks absolutely bananas. Preordering right now.

Legitimately feels like I’ve been ported back in time to the N64 THQ glory days only with better graphics and more options. Have stayed away from wrestling games since SVR2009 and this DOES NOT disappoint!
2K should be doing more of this; listening to the fans, removing the micro-transactions and taking a year off to ya know, ACTUALLY improve things for the gamer! Bravo 🙏

To wwe games enthusiasts, which previous games does 2k22's gameplay and overall feel is closest to? Compared to the likes of previous 2k, SvR games or even All Stars, HCTP, SYM, JBI, DoR, SD1/2, etc..

Just bought this for PS4. The graphics are amazing & the gameplay is hella fun! So far I’m very impressed

It’s lacking a lot of Legends for me and even the Legends we get we don’t get any of their younger skins. Like for example there’s only old man triple h and the rock, that’s very disappointing for me

Is there a bit of “entertainment” on the universe mode or mygm mode ? Such as scenes , promos , and superstars attacking rivals after/before matches . That would really be the deciding factor for me to get this game this weekend . Everything else looks awesome .
Removing reversal bars is one the best things they have done, but they should have made reversals a bit harder to do
Virtual wrestling is still the way to go, here comes the pain was also cool 😎

I've been saying it the fact that you don't need a wrestling game every year and that it's much better to take your time to build the game.
I'm still not a fan of having strike combos and combo breakers in a wrestling game, that belongs in fighting games. But otherwise the gameplay is a HUGE improvement. The increased use of grapples to perform most moves makes the game play like No Mercy and that's never a bad thing! :) easily the best WWE game since HCTP!
I’m loving all the extra side stories in the Myriae lost in it all day
this reminds me of WWE games from the PS2 era. Caring about content and the players fun and experience rather than money and MTX and a poor, buggy experience.

Probably you were under 15 at those times, it's normal.. gaming would be more fun at those age but Don't confuse your nostalgia with gaming dude. The current gen kids gonna have a blast with these games.

Smackdown 5 and the original raw vs smackdown are the gold standard. They were years of fun. Thq did it right. Wwe needs bring those games back to life. With graphics of today and they will get a perfect 10/10.
original svr was lackluster and its season mode suffered severely. now if u said svr 06 and lets not knock sd sym that too was a great title

those games were lacking but to each their own.
My biggest gripe having been playing this for a couple of weeks is multi character matches like triple threats, tag teams and money in the bank are excruciating because NPCs will ruin your matches from the camera being pulled away to watch 2 NPCs fight ringside while you’re still playing to having NPCs break up every possible pin or acting so wonky they break a match
The controls are more complicated. Been playing since 2k15. This is not more pick up and play. 2k19 still stands as the better modern wrestling game.
It went from have one block option to having 4. How is that more streamlined? There are many mechanics missing from previous 2k games. You can’t even run and Irish whip at the same time.
You have to grapple before you do most of your moves. Want to Irish whip someone? Frappe them first?
I’ve been playing this all week and it’s got all the same old bugs that plagued even the most “stable” past releases.
Finally someone who makes sense. Also the A.I never attempts pins outside of finishers. Which makes it get repetitive fast.
Camera angle is awful. Move it up in the air. I’m not buying mortal kombat for wwe.

The game is fun but theres a few things they left out ,
They removed the feature to customize entrances you can only select the simple version from older games
not the advanced version , the game crashes randomly during create a move set

It’s currently completely unplayable on series x. Crashes left and right… even when trying to use the deletion utility.
