That may be why there’s people saying the screen is 90Hz and that it’s clocked up or some bs.

iOS likes clocking the display lower than 120Hz, I assume for power saving reasons. I don t know what to say but what he did was like judging a book by its cover… a phone just unpacked/having a couple of months of being used haven t even showed it all, it is like in a relationship when you have to be polite, kindly, respectful, gracious and patient to make a first impression and after a while when you both take off your mask, you ll see she is the devil itself. Wait until that android starts getting lagging, is slower in any app or any error or battery issue… while an IPhone is there for you in a matter of years, I still have friends that bought themselves iPhone 11 and even if they car purchase the latest version of iPhone, they are still pleased with that phone…. And it s not my case, I bought a Galaxy s 9 in 2018 and up until 2023 when I switched to iPhone 14, that phone was getting worser but with unnoticeable steps… after 1 year of use, I was charging it at least 2 times a day because of its battery and many more
@@vladaltreilea1431 Yeah... all that nonsense just to prove yourself wrong. My "lagging android" called S23 Ultra is running at 120 frames a second in any app that supports 120 hz. Yet i bought it in 2023 about 3 months after its release in february.

Might be due to what's being displayed. The android screen was showing black and white individual app icons, while the iPhone was displaying colored grouped icons.
The problem might be due to the ProMotion because it does slow down the Hz depending on how fast you move the screen so therefore it does save battery or is more efficient at least
@daksheshgauba1101not just the flagships. Even my midrange Realme phone has that feature. These iPhone people think that it's a premium feature on only their phones.

Same case here. Ever since I got my OnePlus 12R, I haven't even used my iPhone that much. Whenever I use my iPhone, I'm like "Ew, wtf is this stupid device that won't even let me download stuff from online? And why does it feel so slow compared to my Android, despite having 120Hz?" fr, he is the biggest samsung meat rider ive ever seen in ytshorts💀 like i'm an android (aosp) dev and i give it to ios for consistency & perceived smoothness
I like the way apps look on iPhone. I like the design of the iPhone 13 mini, and I love FaceTime and some of the features that go along with that. What’s wrong about me having an opinion? It almost seems like he’s calling iPhones a less great phone. He’s allowed to have an opinion, but it seems like he’s calling out the users, not the phone. I love the apple ecosystem because it just works together. Thats That.
My brother in Christ....that is an optimisation thing which most Androids also have. It is to avoid wasting battery life for performing at 120 hz. 90hz is solid enough for simple home screen viewing. 120 hz is probably reserved for more visually-focused activities like gaming, video-watching etc. Although I don't think there is an option to turn this off in the ios
It has more to do with android having much faster snappier animations where iPhones animations are slower. On a lower refresh rate like 60 this makes the iPhone feel smoother, but at 120hz it makes it feel slow and sluggish. You'd think that they would prioritize the 120hz for games, but it's actually the opposite, the best place to show off high refresh rate is when scrolling or on the home screen as it makes the whole phone feel snappy and these are relatively low performance scenarios, whereas in most game the phone isn't capable or optimized to run at 120hz since a game is a more performance demanding scenario
@@kadenbirchI see what you are talking about. It may be right, after all, a user spends most of their time on the homescreen or on low-performance apps like social media apps, so prioritising animations in such areas makes the phone look better.
The optimisation is dynamic refresh rate, I think Iphones Pro have it too, I don't see why they would limit animations to 90 because the system is one of the few things that can run in 120, YT and videos will always run at like 60fps or less
The way Samsung is improving is commendable.. They are breaking that barrier of iPhone is superior...OneUI is smooth AF with their long-term software updates, Slowly building their ecosystem,Video capabilities and so on. Truly Amazing
iPhone fan boy here, (generally prefer android tablets and windows pc) when we’re talking about Phone “feeling” smoother it’s usually referring to how responsive the screen is. Like I could easily swipe home and to different apps repeatedly with accuracy no hickups or screen flashing, or typing without any mistypes because the predictive text will just work. In my experience androids just aren’t as responsive to those kinds of swapping between apps quickly or writing long form without stress. Granted the first android I had recently was a ZFold 5, but even then with the 120hz screen I’d have to double tap or even triple tap sometimes just to type the right thing or get an app to do what I needed.
I predicted this years ago. IOS has been smooth and consistent mostly because of the way most scrolling speed and animations have been slowed down. Whereas Android, given its laggy experience in the past, has been improving its software at the same time maintaining that fast scroll speeds and animations. It's obvious now that they've finally achieved this, giving you the overall faster yet smooth experience.
The fact most people don't realize there's a button in iOS which is turned on by default which sets normal activities to 90 Hz so he's not being truthful
The pro motion 120hz displays on Iphone and Apple devices are adaptative for a better long batery life, its just the app you are opening or where are you scrolling
He's not stupid bro my phone have 144refresh rate adaptive screen too when your screen automatically goes to 60 or 90 fps because you open some app you can just go to setting and enable 144fps again and start doing comparison on the home screen as you can see he doing the comparison on the home screen not on any app that require adaptive screen to make fps go lower
Lmao iPhone users are not used to high refresh rate meanwhile I am on 120hz refresh rate with 1000hz touch sampling rate it feels like I am flying through my phone
Thank you for mentioning this. Coming from my Samsung S22 and scrolling through the settings menu of an iPhone 14 Pro Max this was the first thing I noticed. Scrolling felt choppy compared to my S22. After further research I figured that starting a screen recording on the iPhone would force 120Hz at all times and after starting one it felt as smooth as my Samsung. Without the screen recording it indeed must be running at 80-90Hz. I guess I'll be sticking to my much smoother S22 for now.

You do know that Samsung also has adaptive refresh rate right? And still they provide a smoother experience while having the same battery life as iPhones.. It all depends on optimization.. If the phone has a 120 hz display, and even though using adaptive refresh, if you don't get a smooth experience, its useless.. It should feel like 120 hz when you want it to..

Honestly I had the S22Ultra and the 14pro max for a bit. And yes, the s22 felt buttery smooth.. the iPhone looks 90hz
I own a S22 Ultra and a IPhone 13 Pro Max and this is bullshit I really care about such things and they feel the same way
The iPhone keeps reducing and increasing the refresh rate which makes it look more laggy
@@75sRax Finally someone addressed this. IPhone has an adaptive refresh rate and android doesn't. That is why it looks smoother because it's always at 120 hz and an IPhone can save a lot of battery with the adaptive refresh rate.
so what it costs 300 dollars more
Well I have used both iPhone 14 pro max and s22 ultra for sometime but the iPhone is way better in smoothness...
IOS animations tend to take longer and more aesthetically focused. There's a lot of bounce.
@fisayoajisafe9908that was always annoying to me. The smoooooth animations were pointless to me when I just wanted to Google something quickly on my phone.
And that smoothness you can get on a android too.

Where in the settings do you disable animated scrolling?
I want what you’re smoking. Apple removed dynamic wallpapers a long time ago.
iOS likes clocking the display lower than 120Hz, I assume for power saving reasons.
During the unveiling of ProMotion in iPhone, they did say that they're dynamically adjusting the refresh rate in such a way that you won't notice the change.
Funnily enough, the display stays a constant 120Hz during screen recording.

Gone are the days when Android lagged after a year. If it's lagging for you, you have a low end device with like 3 gb ram or you downloaded shit from sketchy websites that is running adware behind your back
I don t know what to say but what he did was like judging a book by its cover… a phone just unpacked/having a couple of months of being used haven t even showed it all, it is like in a relationship when you have to be polite, kindly, respectful, gracious and patient to make a first impression and after a while when you both take off your mask, you ll see she is the devil itself.

Not really lol!! I have my phone secure and it has 128gb and 6gb ram. Idk but I am not ever buying Samsung phones again.
I wouldn't exactly call a sd695 "low end".
Might be due to what's being displayed. The android screen was showing black and white individual app icons, while the iPhone was displaying colored grouped icons.
It would also be more helpful to specify which Android phone model is smoother since not all Android phone models are smooth or 120hz as you say
" pro motion " is a fancy word for " high refresh rate " that every budget android phone has now and it's even better than the flagship iPhone 🤦♂️ because it only tops off at 360hz touch response time while many many budget and flagship android phones are waaaay above that

Bro makes his entire personality android versus iPhone
The point he’s making is about the phones with better specs, but the truth in my opinion is that the phone that is more popular and more used by people in the USA is the phone I’m gonna get. I.E , an iPhone.
fr, he is the biggest samsung meat rider ive ever seen in ytshorts💀 like i'm an android (aosp) dev and i give it to ios for consistency & perceived smoothness

Why? Because he does videos about it? Following that same logic, your entire personality is competitive fortnite.
Thats That.
The real OG of swipe gestures was by BlackBerry.
True, swipe to exit app
Maybe it's because the touch responsiveness is better?
The iPhones change 60 hz to 120 hz when the activity requires that, to save battery.
We need to just go back to Nokia phones with snake on it
1000% agree
Bro spent all his money on buying iPhones and Androids he forgot to get dental care

My mid-range android has a 144hz screen
iPhone fan boy here, (generally prefer android tablets and windows pc) when we’re talking about Phone “feeling” smoother it’s usually referring to how responsive the screen is.
