I got the dispensers at Amazon. The 3" was $12.00, the 2" was $21.00 and the 1" was $24.00. They are available for a variety of prices.

I do something similar, except I use biodegradable kraft paper tape because I fire next to a lake and I don't want to see little pieces of blue tape in the water off my dock where I have a great fishing spot. I also take the wrappers and plastic tops off of every mortar canister so that anything that might get shot into the lake is biodegradable.

Great advice on the video mguerramd...May I ask where you found both tape dispensers and about how much? Thanks in advance!

Has there been an issue with a mortar dragging the tape for the other tubes on launch?

Thats exactly what happens but it doesn’t matter because that entire rack is chain fused to fire. The purpose of the tape is to keep those fuses covered until that rack fires. If you set up a rack and individually matched each mortar to fire in a script, then you would tape over each tube by itself.

@@mguerramd what I'm asking is whether or not there are concerns about mortars being pulled by the tape/fuse prematurely out of their respective tubes

@@brianforrest2572 Ok the mortar is the tube. The shell is what you are asking about. No, the tape does not go up and pull the shells up out of the mortars. This works perfectly every time no problems. I do this with big commercial shells as well as consumer shells. Some people use foil, which works great, but that makes a heck of a mess

@@mguerramd ok my apologies. This 4th of July I'm doing racks that are remote ignited vs previous years reloading tubes as they are launched. So trying to find the best setup I can. Been split between masking tape and foil tape

Thomas DeBiase A lot of people do but it makes a mess I’d rather not cleanup.
