Thanks for the video! I have a ton of fiberglass tubes laying around that i'm planning to take the basses off of and wanted to know wjat I was doing. Thanks!
i noticed the cement plug is not really glued to the tube so it can move around quite a bit. i thought of just pushing the plug to the bottom of the tube but decided the a nice sturdy base was the safest way to go. as long as it is supported well there wont be an issue
i'm using a 2x3 palette spacer if you know what i mean. the ones with a channel on one side. (that will be the ground side) i know thy can be soft but the one i have has good grain count and is heavy.
if you get a bad tube like that, use a abrasive pad like a red scotch pad and sand the inner lip of the tube. Then fill the bottom with a strong epoxy or resin. This should keep the remaining portion of the plug in place. Just my 2 cents, do at your own risk.
good vid bro! it seems of all my fiberglass tubes the ones from black diamond (crushn it bloodshell etc) seem to be by far the most sturdy. The tube that came with my echos i could easily crush with my hands if i tried.
Thanks bro! Most of my tubes were nice and thick all but the pro shells from big there were all over the place. That's to bad about the echos everyone raves about them. I've never bought them my self they want to much for them at the retail level imo
I always use dowel rods to make my plugs... Buy a 4 foot dowel and cut 48 one inch plugs in a few minutes... I've used the hole saw in the past, killed a cheap drill trying to make a few plugs too quickly... Good tip though

Nice man. Great video
Thanks bro!!!!!
About how many shells can go through the tubes that come with canisters
I've has plugs blow out after about 20 shots but I also have some with over 40 that are holding up well.
the ones i am working with do have some space abort 1/2" so i was thinking of construction adhesive. i am at that point for final assembly

In a pinch lmao with time invested u just order more tubes
Ive used bondo to fill the gap in the bottom of the tubes and it held up well..
Todd B I'm sure that works well. most people won't have an access of that laying around lol you and me yeah...

I thought about doing that but I had everything on hand that I needed to do it this way. I also have a drill press so it went fairly quick lol
Nice video

I feel like if you do this often just invest
into a bag of concrete and mix it up as you need
