The name of the band is Epica and the name of the song is Sancta Terra. This is from their 10th anniversary show where Floor did some guest vocals. Epica was founded by Mark Jansen (not related to Floor) in 2003 after he left After Forever, Floor’s first band. Yep, Mark was the guitarist and co-founder of Floor’s band at the time. Btw Mark is the one who shouts FLOOR JANSEN!!! at the end. Simone and Floor are close friends and Mark and Floor have often helped each other in the past. Mark helped Floor start her second band Revamp when After Forever fell apart for example, and Floor participated in Marks other band Mayan.
Epica is a dutch band, Simone Simons is the lead singer
Fun fact: The guitarist who yells Floor's name at the end is Mark Jansen, who was a founding member of Floor's first band After Forever.

Epica was founded by Mark Jansen (no relation), one of the co-founders of After Forever (Floor's first band), after he left After Forever due to artistic differences. Nevertheless, Floor remains a friend of the band. I think Floor gave Simone some vocal lessons too.

If you want to listen to something different from Epica you might be interested in listening to "Once upon a nightmare" The song itself is based upon an old horrific Nordic fairy-tale transformed to a Poem by Wolfgang von Goethe (basically the German Shakespeare) called The Erlking (Der Erlkönig) . The musical buildup is like the soundtrack of a movie with of sense foreboding of the tragedy about to happen. The story is about a father racing through the night to get help for his sick son. That, in his fever-state, is having visions of goblin king trying to seduce him to enter the land of the dead. No growling in this song and Simone just sounds divine. The tragic conclusion makes this a piece of art. If you are not having goosebumps by the end of the song i would consult a doctor. :) Beneath you will find the original version and literal English translation of the poem mentioned. When they sing those high notes you call siren, that's opera soprano, a technic developed in the 16 century. Notes can be high as a''. Floor had definitely hit the D6 in some of the Nightwish songs, so her last note in Phantom of the Opera with Henk at beste Zangers. An what is so special about Floor? She can sing the opera stuff, like Vilja Lied and Puccini Aria, as well as Rock and Pop and everything. Sometimes within the same song.
