Alright, I'm going to admit this... I teared up and I do not tear up to music, but these lyrics hit me in a dark place. I grew up in an abusive household (my mother was the only one there for me the most she could be) and suffer from ptsd, when I got married, my husband and I moved far from family. It wasn't until they found out I had cancer that my family started to care and change to rekindle a bond. Now I'm about to have my second child and for the first time in many years, I'm inviting my parents to my home to celebrate. Listening to this song I have a feeling that Connie will really make it big one day. Most child star ruined their future because they were too spoiled and too used to being treated like a king but Connie is totally different, she's mature and down-to-earth. Been loving her since her debut day and will always love her.

Wow... uhh... After listening I was just sitting here and thinking about my life for about 20 minutes. I can't really stress enough how lucky I am to have the kind of family that I do. Some day things will have to change - my life and the relationships will not be the same as they were, but I guess it doesn't have to be a bad thing, just different. For some reason I haven't been hearing a lot of songs about childhood and growing up, especially the ones that include family, so this kind of hit me hard, because for me family is the most important thing in my life. Thank you, Connie, you've outdone yourself.
