- This is a song I wrote at home a couple of days ago. I'm just singing to a rough btrack that I made :) This song is about regret and looking back and wishing you did things differently.

I agree with your sentiments Keith although I would suggest that she is an international star if not a mega one. She has nearly 2 million subscribers which makes her pretty famous in my book. I figure she was only 17 or 18 when she made this which suggests she has exceptional ability to be able to produce something this good at such a tender age. On top her remarkable ability she is also absolutely gorgeous and seemingly a really nice person as well.

Connie is a Gift from God to everyone with hearing! I can’t understand why she isn’t selling out venues, on continuous tours, and selling out stadiums for that matter! It's outrageous how she still isn't signed!!! There are so many teenagers with record deals that can't hold a tune without autotune and then there's pure talent like this freakin writing, composing and singing her own songs flawlessly. Where is the justice??

I love the brightness in her voice. Bright but not piercing. Always loved her voice even when she was little.
The Internet has diluted the availability of 'record deals'- and it's a double-edged sword. On one hand, world can now discover and enjoy a gem like Connie Talbot whereas pre-Internet her chances of getting worldwide exposure would be greatly diminished - and possibly we never saw or heard of her. On the other hand, she does not NEED a recording 'deal' she can self-publish on Apple Store, Google Music, Spotify, and so on. I have already purchased one of heer original songs directly via iTunes. Connie has a real talent, nice vocal range and well-trained and well-controlled voice. I'm sure she will continue to enjoy success in her musical career, and I wouldn't be shocked to see her on TV or in movies. BGT, the Voice, and shows of that ilk are a great way to break out and get noticed, but look how famous Connie already is! We all need to encourage her by purchasing her work via online portals that I mentioned. Vote for Connie- make a purchase!

I had a bit of an emotional breakdown when my wife passed away from cancer. The lyrics of this song pretty much express the thoughts I was having at the time. Take from someone who knows, regret is an awful experience when it comes to those you love. Love the best you can while you have them. You never know how long that is going to be.
David Balderston I’m sorry you lost your wife. My wife is ill, she has suffered 3 strokes in the last year and a half. I am her sole caretaker & at times I’m just tired & aggravated & I know I take it out on her. I then feel like a shit...I think I need to be thankful I still have her with me, but we are all human. Thanks for your comment and thanks to Connie for a great song & great Performance. I will try & be nicer & remember that I don’t want to regret anything. 42 years and counting!

Sorry for your loss and thanks for reminding us. It’s not easy to deal with. I’ve talked to many that felt the same way. We do the best we can whilst trying to survive financially, physically and emotionally. The caregiver suffers also.

Very few artists exude and show just how much they love music and how much music has been the very fiber of what they were meant to do in life. Connie is one of those few who can evoke so much emotion through her music and lyrics! I dare anyone to hear one of her cover or original songs and NOT feel anything. Oh my god... this song is so, so amazing...so much feels from this song. Such depth coming from such a young lady. She has such a deep, rich tone that is so rare, and when she says thank you so shyly, she becomes such a young lady. How can this song, and her many, many other originals not be a on a CD compilation or something and selling millions? My guess is that is she's not flashy like other singers, but I compare her to real artists like Adele or Sam Smith that sing so beautifully and still so successful. I sincerely wish her the best and that she keeps publishing, blowing up beyond RUclips.

It's Easter Sunday, but it's a sad day for me. My childhood friend died unexpectedly from leukemia this weekend. I was listening to this song when I found out and I lost it. God gave me this song, as it puts into words the regrets I'm feeling not being more there for my friend Dan. I hadn't spoken to him in over a month. I could have been so much more for him. He was only 36 and a father to 3 small children.

So many people wishing you were signed to a record deal, but I'm glad you're not. I would much rather see you do your own recording your way, marketing your way, appearances your way, etc, than see you being chewed up and spit out by a record company. Just keep being the best Connie Talbot there is, and doing it your way, because it's a treat to listen to.
Your damned if you do and your damned if you don't. I for one would buy any record this young lady releases. I am also glad she wants to keep control of what she writes/sings. This may be what the problem is with being signed to a major. They are only interested in how much money they can make out of it. Writers and singers like Connie are up against a brick wall because they want to keep (rightly so) ALL control over their work, which reduces the Interest the major labels would have in her. A good agent is a great starting point, I hope she wins through and we see her music out there for all to buy. Oh, and the song is beautiful.

I Love Connie singing so beautifully her original hit song "Not Here To Hear" with her deep emotional heartfelt lyrics! When I listen to Connie's awesome singing of her lovely song! I remember my dad and mom in loving memories and some bad memories! I love my parents and miss their love, support, and encouragement! I took my parents for granted, and I feel like I let them down at times. I did not say and do everything that I should have done for my parents when they were here to hear me which causes me pain. When I am feeling weak and I listen to Connie's brilliant song, I cry many tears, and when I am feeling stronger, I don't cry any tears. God and Jesus Christ, who created all human beings, love people the best and most, far better than we can love God, Jesus Christ, and people, and people can love us! I was crying by the first words of this song Connie, because of the meaning of the lyrics and your beautiful voice as always.
This song let me think about my rough time with my anorexia and other mental illnesses now.
I let people down because I was/am too sick to keep in contact. I felt so related when you sang 'did I let you down?' because first I didn't even recognize I let my friends down when they say to me that I was so sick I let them go. And that's where my mind began to 'thinking bout the things that I have could have said/done.' But otherwise many friends of me let me down because they only need me when I'm happy enough for them. And when I was at my deepest point, just as you sang: 'I never thought it would end like this, I used to be so much stronger but now I'm bout to break.' And I broke, ended up in hospitals etc and I'm still broken and 'I am drowning' but I'm also trying my hardest to swim. I know 'I'll always have this pain 'cause I'm on my own' now but that doesn't keep me away from fighting for my life!

One of my best friend killed herself a couple of years ago, I never found a song that could actually say everything I wanted her to hear today. Connie, thank you for everything. I've been supporting you since 2012 and I saw you grow up as I was growing up too, I took you as my role model and I know now I couldn't pick someone better.
