      With only one problem: This interpolates pixels that are already there, blurs them and sharpens them along the edges. It's like a fancy diffuse blur, but you won't be able to restore lost information or create it, where it was never present.

    • @qiyuxuan9437
      @qiyuxuan9437 5 лет назад +6

      @@Nicistarful not really, the idea is use AI to generate pixels that dont exist. Since AI is improving fast, we might able to get much better result next year.

    Try Gigapixel AI - that's a completely different dimension. The software itself recognizes and completes very fine details: hair, beard, skin, texture, leaves - flawlessly. Perfectly cleans even highly compressed JPG files. The best results are from small pictures, when he has to reconstruct the original picture himself. Everything is done automatically, there's no need to adjust - the results are incredible. This is how artificial intelligence looks like!

      Is it better than waifu2x?

    • @jirimelnicky1472
      @jirimelnicky1472 5 лет назад

      @@zekion. Waifu2x is suitable for enlarging cartoon images. Gigapixel has much more natural results in photographs. Competitive programs clean and interpolate the image. In addition, Gigapixel creates details that are not visible in the reduced image. In some cases, it is better if you reduce the image to 50% in Photoshop and then enlarge it to 400% in Gigapixel. Image has more details. It doesn't make sense, but it works! Try to download the trial version and see for yourself.

    You haven't made the image hi-resolution, you've just blurred the pixels. An image that is not already hi-resolution cannot be made hi-res. If you want a high-resolution photo, it has to be photographed that way to begin with. You can't add pixels to a photographed image, you can only manipulate the pixels that are already there. It's not hi-res when you zoom in on it, it's just blurry now instead of pixelated. This NOT converting low to high, because that cannot be done with a photo.
