Unmesh, I've been watching these videos for over three years now. I remember being in high school sitting at home watching tutorials on this channel, moving into college and watching one on the first day in my new dorm, and all this time later still watching, and still learning. Thanks for being a consistent source of great knowledge over the years!!!
To further improve the banding lines in the sky, try also adding a tiny bit of noise or film grain. You will be amazed. Increasing image bit depth to 16 bit prior to your surface blur should also help.
Had no idea this existed and it's absolutely amazing. Have tons of artefact jpgs and tried this on 10 of them this morning and it worked like a charm. Thank you! Also never stop what you're doing. Absolutely love your well made easy to follow videos 💙
I haven't touched Photoshop like that since 2020... coming back to this 2024 version is like learning how to walk again. But thanks to you, I'm not only "walking" again, I could also jump. You are the Photoshop GOAT! When I had to put Photoshop down, I knew I had nothing to worry about forgetting what's what because I have you in my back pocket. Good looks!
Just got Adobe Suit 2024 and it's mindblowing! I was resisting a little to get it. But i have done twice my job in much more less time. And this tutorials are gonna come SO HANDY!
been watching your videos for years, and as always its just jammed packed with precise information that helps save so much time. to think that now you are almost at 5 million! every single one of those subs you deserve.
This is great, thanks! I work in the graphics department of a large publishing house, and we constantly have authors submitting truly awful raster graphics that are completely unsuitable for print, so this should help with at least some of them.
тот самый случай, когда можно отключить звук и просто смотреть) я очень плохо понимаю английский, но это не помеха потому, что автор ОЧЕНЬ КРУТО показывает без лишних движений. Гигантское спасибо! лайк\подписка\всё такое
Your vids always come across as smooth, relaxed, and informative. This trick was of limited help with the photo I'm working on at the moment, but I'll still keep it in mind for the future.
Wow that is absolutely amazing how that filter fixes those photos. This was a big help in fixing some soft pictures I took. I love your tutorials and I appreciate you taking the time to make them. BTW I LOVE the lighting of yourself and your studio. We purchased some colored tube lights but I can't figure out how to light a room like yours? If you could make a tutorial on how to use tube lighting that would be awesome.
That technique really handles the banding of colors in the sky very well. Will keep this in mind for when this occurs next, thanks for the tutorial! Happy new year!🥳
yeah the jpg artifact remover is the best neural filter of the group. many show promise but lack needed options, like the grain filter is cool but you cant change the size of the grain. even if you downscale the image and try again, the grain is the same size relatively. the super zoom was also underwhelming, you would think ai could make quick work of doing an upscale and adding back in skin detail, etc. i have a ton of old photos i dont have the hires backed up of that i would love to try that on. also missing in neural filters is a tool like clipdrop re-light which is so amazing and would be great to see in the neural filters panel as its something specifically that photographers would LOVE
Following your tutorial here I ran a really bad picture through jpeg remover and THEN ran it through photo Restoration. Amazing results - still an old picture but it was a nice surprise.
I like to use the Noise Reduction slider in Camera Raw to remove the jpg artifacts and color noise, then i add clean noise back to the image. I find this works better than the Nueral filter.
HAPPY NEW YEAR UNMESH! I think it's very funny that months ago i was used to you saying that "the program cannot know or invent what is there" just like in the movies with the "camera enhancement" technique hahahahah But now things are crazy! AI can do things with wouldn't imagine!
Very much love, little in the way of difficulties in life, lots of bubbles in champagne, someone to make breakfast, And at every step happiness in 2023!
Please have you done a video on how to get rid of dotts or patterning on photographs ,that's photo's copy scan from paper in books or mags,it's very annoying and hard to eliminate without making a picture to blur....
What if you used the "Replace Sky" feature in Photoshop, this could be a way to remove banding completely and also make the sky look better (for example, making a sky with an annoying plane in it look clean and nice). I have used this feature a few times to make what would be boring images look a lot better, it also colourises the picture for you (matching the colour and shades of the sky to the rest of the image) which makes it look all the more authentic. Obviously it is not perfect, nothing ever is, but using that feature and what you said, you could create some amazing images.
it would be nice if you would make an updated version of your 3 years old vidseo of tghe image upscale a i comparison with the updated gigapixel version and photoshops new a i . thanks for your great content !
Can anyone please tell me what should be the resolution / size of a image if I am doing a background change?? I am trying to change a background but the image gets completely distorted when i stretch the image
Is it possible to make a grayscale image without the original color shades affecting the brightness? I mean the look that models get in 3D editors before coloring them.
I have to work with photos uploaded to me for personalised products usually low res phone jpegs, the photo restoration neural filter and skin smoothing also work sometimes
hi sir, can you please make a video about how do celebrity pictures look so sure sharp but the sharpness doesn't seem overdone. or is it the camera they use?
The fact that we learn new tips that are not related to the title makes your videos even more helpful
Thank you, Abhiram. Really appreciate your noticing. Grateful for your support :)
*stops skipping through irrelevant content* what?

Thank you, we have covered this and more in our previous two videos on banding, and I, for sure, was amazed.
yup i never edit as low as 8-bit, bump to at least 16-bit first!
Now we see the CSI Miami camera resolution upscaling technology 😂
Finally it’s real!
😂😂😂
*"Enhance!"*
I can see Thorny’s mustache now “enhance”
Winner!

I don't think anyone more knowledgeable on Photoshop than you exists

Is it possible to make a grayscale image without the original color shades affecting the brightness? I mean the look that models get in 3D editors before coloring them.
