It’s crazy how cat grant comes back for 5 minutes and she instantly improves the quality of the show. I’ve missed her so much, her and Kara in season one was magic. It’s so great to see her again even with it being affected by covid.
Cat Grant was missed.
@@LBF522 no she wasn’t missed! 😂😂😂
Because I think she is a waste of character since the start!
She flocked back to our hearts
Cat Grant is a very good character, she changes what Kara and supergirl throughout the show.
I thought she left the show because she didn’t want to commute to Vancouver. It seems for this appearance she didn’t need to and figuratively phoned in her performance
“Oh, you’re Supergirl. La Dee Da” the most cat grant thing to say
They need to add it to the infamous cat grant lines compilations
Cat has known Kara was Supergirl ever since the end of Season 1. I'm glad and relieved she finally made a point about the glasses being not much of a disguise. Speaking of which I wonder if she also know about Clark being Superman?
this is the thing Lex knows Kara is Supergirl bur dont believe Clark is Superman!
I hope so. Maybe a Reason why Kat is so nervous when Clark in the room! I think Cat knows since Jon was outet! She know it the full time!
Its great they got Flockart for the last episode!
I would like to think no, not because the glasses would fool her, but because she has an absolute crush on Clark Kent. Clark Kent is Clark Kent, her dream guy.
i think, if my memory is correct, they mentioned Cat having a thing for Clark, and Clark isnt a mask for Superman, Superman IS the mask for Clark Kent, both identities act different so even Lex refuse to accept Clark is Superman.
@@patrickfabsich2692 i think, if my memory is correct, they mentioned Cat having a thing for Clark, and Clark isnt a mask for Superman, Superman IS the mask for Clark Kent, both identities act different so even Lex refuse to accept Clark is Superman.

Her brief moments in the finale highlighted how much this show was lacking since she left. Cat was such an anchor for Kara and those moments between them were so pivotal for the show. So happy we got to see her for the finale and big kudos to Calista for coming back to give us the Queen Of All Media one last time.
@Wesley D. de los Santos when Supergirl moved to the CW from CBS the show couldn't afford Calista Flockhart nor did Flockhart want to fly to Canada to film scenes since she had a life in California. And yes, Calista added a lot of gravitas to the show. It's very generous for her to make a final appearance.
@@gabelogan5877 truth. it put closure on the show
@@cwolf201 before I saw this scene I saw a report that Cat had been recasted for this scene. Im glad the report was wrong.
Love how she gives this great speech while purposefully pronouncing Kara’s name wrong 😂😂😂
"You knew?"
"Oh, please, those spectacles..."
"YOU KNEW!!!"
Spider-man players will know this one.
Glad you remembered the hyphen between “Spider” and “Man”
PS4 Peter vs Otto?
I love how Cat just randomly comes back and already makes this episode much better.
The bar wasn't really that high. It seems like with CW shows the writers write in circles until the show ends.
Alex, Cat and Lena helped Kara in accepting her true self..the three most important people in her life..
J’onn Nia her parents kal lois and team supergirl
I honestly love the fact that she stills calls her Kira.
Me too lol
I love how she occasionally makes it clear she's (still) doing it on purpose, by pronouncing Kara's name correctly.
I've always read this as Cat knowing Kara needs a strong figure to guide her and help her sorts things out. So calling her Kira is a power move to assert dominance and keep Kara in the student role. Once Kara becomes surer of herself, I'm sure she'll be called by her proper name.
Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant was such a great character on this show and it was a big loss to the series when she decided to leave the show. I was glad to see her back, if only briefly for the final season.
Calista left the show because of relocation issues. Remember, the first season was on the big network CBS. And then CBS decided not to renew the show for second season, so it was moved to the CW. While on CBS, filming was done in Los Angeles. When it moved to the CW, filming was moved to Vancouver, BC in Canada. She was not willing, or not able, to relocate for the show.
Love how Cat helped empower Kara, but I was surprised how Cat called her Keira for a moment.
Let's face it, Kyra/Keira has become an affectionate nickname for Kara.
To keep the mask in place. Then she had a little more vodka and went 'you know what? Fuck it!'
She always called her that. Iirc she never called her Kara even in S1, even though she knows her true name. It was kinda their thing
@@19Sephirot93 Well, sounds reasonable enough.
@@toddschouweiler3623 Sounds also completely like Cat. Kara was like the only character in season 1 that something like a personal relationship with Cat. Everyone else was mostly professional with a little flair of personal respect. Hence she calls them by their real names, but Kara definitely left last an lasting impact on her
Nice she points out the glasses idiocy. Even the Twelfth Doctor pointed it out in The Return of Dr. Mysterio.
The reason the glasses work is that people never stopped to think Superman wasn't Superman all the time. Batman obviously wasn't born Batman, he had to train himself and create the identity, but Supes/Supergirl are aliens with incredible power, people don't stop to think they would bother having a day job, pay taxes and live as humble humans. The disguise doesn't hold up *if you are looking*, their defence is being so powerful no one looks.
The reason the glasses works for Clark is because he has a literal lifetime of sculpting the identity of Clark as different from kal El: mannerisms, hair, posture, etc
In the comics they used to say that when he appeared as Superman he would vibrate his head just enough so no one could get a clear look at his face or a clear photo.
@@lonknight3197 they've also said he uses special glasses that changes his face
One comic explained that the glasses are magical and Supes actually performs a low tier hypnosis trick lmfao. As mentioned, Clark compresses his spine so he's shorter, he hunches his shoulders and slouches to present bad posturing, stammers, and is clumsy. He's an amazing actor as well apparently. They mention this a few times but he was the star in Smallville HS plays.
All of those things coupled with the fact, as previously mentioned, no one thinks a being with the power of a God is working as a bumbling news reporter at the Daily Planet.
HOW THE HELL did they make Cat Grant the most wholesome character in the end.
Can we admit that Cat Grant is a good secret keeper?
would be funny if cat turned out to be the watcher ^^
The best part was her roasting Kara’s glasses as a disguise! If only she could say the same thing to Superman!
Unlike when Cat first suspected Kara was Supergirl Kara didn’t even try to deny it this time not even for a second that “You knew” just proves Kara was done with the secret and keeping those two parts of her apart.
Also notice how Cat Grant called her both Kira and Kara in one conversation, it’s almost like a subtle way of accepting and listening to Karas true self
Ms. Grant turned that smoldering kindle into a bonfire in this scene. This is the chemistry it needs.
Strangely enough, I am going to miss this show. Melissa was great as Kara/Supergirl and the show was pretty good as well...
Absolutely. Sure it was campy sometimes but it was good at creating character relationships overtime (imo anyways) and the finale was actually really satisfying.
Awww I'm happy she's back for the end🥺
I somehow knew Cat would figure it out! I love that they brought her back for a perfect finale!
She knew from season 1 though🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She knew from the first meeting with Supergirl. "Oh... it's you."
Part of me really hope that Cat still has no idea Clark is superman cause she is still blinded by her crush. like she thinks Clark is such a nice guy he took Kara in as a cosine to help his friend Superman.
everyone, even Lex refuse to accept Clark Kent is Superman.
You ever consider she has that crush BECAUSE she knows Clark is Superman?
thing is cat worked with kara for years how can she not know but she never worked with clark so she might not know about clark.
@@Marcustheseer She worked with Clark at the Planet for years. She may not have been as close to Clark as she was to Kara, but if she ever saw Superman in person, she would potentially recognize Clark.
flash should have been there, it would have been the best finale ever😔
I wish she could’ve been in the cross over the flash is doing but I guess not
The Flash don't have time to attend a Gay wedding, he's got more important things to do.
@@JENDALL714 it a series finale, barry was even introduced in season 1 of supergirl, plus he is a close friend to kara, so whats your point? plus it was one of karas important moment
@@kolilmd9967 The truth is no normal person wants to attend a gay wedding except to laugh at the chick dressed as the groom, it was hilariously funny how ridiculous how Alex looked! Ed O'Neil was not invited to Amanda Bearse's wedding for this reason, and Ed confirmed this, said she looked like a Penguin. Amanda said all he would do was laugh and she was right!
@@JENDALL714 well that really doesnt matter😑 thats is literally one specific detail that doesnt change anything
This was so needed..I am glad it happened..
Cats known ever since the end of season 2. It’s good to have her back
@@aragorniielessar1894 yeah at first but when j’onn stepped in she dropped it. But she still believed didn’t she?
@@kenyonmanning2574 Later in season 1, J'onn was outed as a shapeshifter in an episode where both Kara and Supergirl were acting like assholes at the same time (Red K), and that outing happened in front of bunches of people (who'd have cell phone cameras), right next to the CatCo building (which would have security cameras at the very least). If Cat was fooled at all (she surely had seen Superman duplicates in Metropolis at some point or another, and knew it was possible... and had already known about Bizarro SG so definitely knew duplicates were possible shortly after J'onn's attempted trick)... the Red K episode ended any doubt for her. And not long after that, by time Barry showed up, she all but told Kara she wasn't being fooled anymore (starting with her utter lack of concern of whether Kara was injured being blasted out the window, up to the theatrics she gave telling Kara how she knew Barry was Flash).
this is the best scene of the season
Que dice exactamente kara con quien queda????
I love this woman😍
Cat Grant coming back was the best part of the finale. This show has such wonderful relationships and dynamics. Primarily between the female characters. It's one of the very few things they did right. But this show has so many missteps in terms of plot. And missed opportunities. A part of me wishes they could start over. Keep the majority of the cast. And try again💀
We need more Cat and Kara
Kira.
Watching this makes me realize how good the actress who played the younger Kat was.
We always knew Cat knew Supergirl identity around the season with the alien bar the episode when supergirl went on live television when original wonder woman was the president
Maybe too soon but will Kara ever guest star in the excellent and underrated "Superman & Lois?"
She'll most likely be mentioned, and if she is need to guest star for like an episode or a crossover then most likely will happen but fingers crossed
I'm gonna be honest I hope not and I think they're staying away from Supergirl or even mentioning her because of the negative press she brings. I'm still very shocked at how well a married couple was written and talked things out like normal people and no one was above the other between them two, idk if it'll stay like that but I hope it does.
Are we supposed to be surprised cat knew. I think since the Martian manhunter reveal, Cat should have been able to connect that kara is supergirl. Her whole proof that both kara and supergirl were together at the same time would have broken apart.
It was already revealed to us that Cat knew Kara was Supergirl (in the end of Season 2, i believe?), but Kara still had no idea that Cat still knew, even after Jonn helped to trick her
She figured out Barry was the Flash in under 5 seconds, its was obvious she also figured out about Kara in that same time
@@TheKatie1227 I think she knew from their interview. The moment she laid eyes on her she said “It’s you. I’m sorry. What I meant to say was, “Who ARE you?”
@@Ultimate95 Then Kara isn't very observant and didn't pick up on the fact that Cat knew. She pretty much told her she knew.
@@Cullenprime kara has always been distracted by things arround her so i get she didnt realize, cat however is a hawk she sees everything.
this episode probably has the highest ratings since the first cross over when they tricked everyone into watching it.
cat is basically kara’s wine aunt with great advice
I SWEAR Kara found out she knew when the Daxamites were invading.
Comments on her glasses didnt disguise her well. I wonder how she feels about clark
God I’m about to start watching this again I love cat grant SHES literally the best character
It was already established that Cat knew her secret identiity way back in season 1 or two.
We all knew Cat knew Kara was Supergirl.
This is all I was hoping for. Even though they couldn't meet in person cause of Covid, I just wanted to see Calista back as Cat. 😍 REDEMPTION! for the CW.
I missed her so much
I believe in you, I always have. Cat Grant
I'm pretty sure some people will agree with me on this but I'm a bit pissed off that out of ALL the villains that showed up, that Maxwell Lord and Silver Banshee were nowhere in sight
They were CBS season 1. Show moved to Vancouver
@@cunningsmile4166 I'm well aware. But to think that ONLY the red tornado from season one showed up. It should have ended with an appearance of banshee and lord...........or at least some kind of cameo
Or live wire
@@misimatokastanley or regin
Absolutely! Especially since he was in Season 1.
i might now have to watch this season, just for cat xD, supergirl has never been the same without her
Was hoping this happened for the show and the fact The Producers brought her back I am happy Now I wish a continuation of Brainy being corrupted Brainiac and etc
The description of the video is funnny. Uploading this scene WITHOUT any commentary in the video itself does NOT fall under fair use.
Keer-ah needed that
WOW, Great moment there for Calista, great acting, along with that moment!!! Nice
Best scene of the episode!
god i love cat im glad she back 🥺
I love Cat Grant. She added so much to this show and told it like it is
Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and she was good actor and Cat Grant is Kara Danvers boss or like her cousin and Cat Grant needs to be in action figure or doll. Or Supergirl is our hero to be in season 7 or Supergirl in ps3
After all this time she still calls her the wrong name
This was so fitting having Cat wrap this up with Kara. Calista is amazing
I dropped this show three seasons ago, but I'm glad I saw this scene.
Cat grant was huge show needed her
S1 ep 9. Cat Grant sees Kara & Super Girl in the same room. She is totally convinced they are 2 people. Is gone for like 4 years. She didn't do research or anything to find out in the earlier Seasons. Comes back and she knew all along. Yeah right. I am glad this show is finally over.
Lmao leave it to cat , to show kara that being supergirl is her calling she can’t avoid it anymore .
Do y'all think Kara's decision puts her mom, and Clark, and his family in danger (I know he can handle himself)? Is it widely known that Clark and Kara are cousins?
Exposes Clark identity and all the people who surrounds him for no reason and without ANY consideration. This is a BIG plot hole. But hey, at least this was the wokest ending of all times. That shows how this people dont care about doing the right thing, as long as they get "recognized" and "empowered" it doesnt matter how many people they drag into the mod. Supergirl last season started really good, and then it became a woke fest the last 5 episodes. Im alright with people beign what they want to be, its not my business, but CW has ruined The Flash aka The Iris Show and Supergirl with its non stop propaganda.
@@Hyogasaint this can easely be fixed all they have to say is either clark or kara is adopted.
@@Hyogasaint Wow, I just realized that Alex's daughter will probably be kidnapped every week by supervillain's.
I just noticed cat says "bi... forcated" and it made me laugh.
This scene was odd for me. For some reason I was sure that Cat already told Kara that she knew Kara was Supergirl even after Manhunter took her form. It would have been when OG Wonder Woman was president.
No she never did. She just hinted.
Imho, Cat is the best character in the series.
Yessss
Very inspiring advice 👍
The only superhero who can't do anything by herself.
neither can Flash
She already knew Kara was Supergirl & that James was Gaurdian. She said it in the last episode she was on b4 she left the show. In fact she pronounced Kara's name correctly when she told her in the episode.
Could have sworn Cat already mentioned that she knew Kara was supergirl a couple seasons ago.
Cat will go off on anybody that’s why I love cat
she already knew and talked about it on her last episode when she gave Jimmy Her Job back a few season.
Got I missed Cat so much.
She’s married to Han Solo! Of course she knew!😎
Every girl.needs a Cat Grant in her life ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I though grant figured this out in season 2
She did. She had the iconic line of "Go get 'em Supergirl" in one of the last scenes of the S2 finale. Kara didn't know that she knew though.
@@Gallopingmeadows122 oh okay, thanks for letting me know
@@lewisbaldwin9683 She knew back in season 1, most likely after her incident of Super hearing and being injured at the same time Supergirl was MIA. She had Jon impersonate her to try and throw Cat off her game. Personally I just think she decided to drop it given the lengths Kara went to avoid telling her (She knew Barry was The Flash right away too which Kara didn't even deny when Cat brought it up) as well as identifying James as the Guardian. Though it was at the end of season 2 that she confirmed to the audience that she knew.
The appearance of Cat wants me to watch the show from where I stopped, I got so frustrated with the direction.
and she still calling her Keira :)
3:10 saying what we all feel
I love Cat Grant she is the best
I just can't get to show realy ended!!!!😭😭😭😭
Cat knew when she met Kara
Ahh, I've missed cat grant so muchhhh.
she knew by the end of season 1kara shows her.
She knew within seconds of seeing Supergirl's face in the light...
ruclips.net/video/t2LDRl3x2Xg/видео.html
The facial expression gives it away, along with her response... "It's you... oh, no, I'm sorry, I meant to say 'who are you?'".
Stop cutting onions!!
Was this supposed to be what leads her and Lena to kiss? (You know the scene they filmed but CW cut and an employee leaked?)
Melissa benoist is a very beautiful women
Woman
Cat Grant always knew
Didn't she already know Kara was supergirl, & didn't kara know she knew? I'm 90% sure they both knew, so did she get mind wiped or something?
I thought so too. I thought Kara and Cat had this convo. on Callista's final episode (on the balcony at Catco when Cat gave Supergirl advice for the final time), but maybe the Crisis rebooted that convo?
I guess it's possible... supergirl could know that *a* Cat knew at some point, but not necessary the one she's interacting with
CW is not known for consistency.
She knew she could have told her secret but she didn't it. If that's not loyalty then I don't know what is
Two things I take from this clip....1.) Apparently in every tv lesbian wedding, one woman has to wear a tux so audiences don't forget who the "man" is
2.) Cat Grant dosen't realize Kara can't see her "air quotes"
Cat already knows before
cat always impresses you, always straight as an arrow :) cat always inspired kara,so what do we call a fused kara and supergirl? supera?
