The A/C system is sealed so if his air was hot most likely will run out again. There's a leek in the system most often at the shrater ports

That's a really awesome feature! Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to get their A/C looked at and will work in many cases.

I did similar years ago to my 95 Neon coupe with a kit that had the temp/pressure guage. It worked pretty good for about a year then the compressor blew a seal and no more air conditioning. I never replaced it after that till it ate itself. I picked up a AC refill guages and hoses etc for next time.
That was a enjoyable commercial I must say and a very advanced setup for what it is.
Looks like A/C pro has turned the average DIYer in to a pro, however this useless unless you can verify the system is sealed. They need to add dye in case you have a leak. Other than that good video from a quality product.

I have a 2010 Mercury Mariner. AC was nice and cool last summer, but it was blowing warm this spring. Got a can of 134a with charge hose and hooked it up. Gauge showed close to zero, so I emptied the whole can into the system, gauge showed reasonable pressure ( not way over the top high) and it was blowing really cold air. AC works!! 3days later it was blowing warm air and refrigerant pressure is back to zero, so off to the professional shop it goes to find and fix the leak. Didn't need the bluetooth can to figure that out..
No a/c won’t kill Eric. I had a black 82 Escort that was bought in Michigan with no air. I delivered pizzas in the South Georgia summers. Tell Eric not to be so soft!😂😂Just kidding Eric

Infrared doesn’t take air temp, it takes temp of what you’re pointing it at. Get a thermometer if you want to test temperature 👍🏻

I tried this once and then a few months later went to a shop to get it done professionally. I will only be going to a shop from now on if I ever have AC problems (zero for a few years after using the shop). This stuff is really only for shadey jerks who are about to sell their car with AC issues they dont want to disclose. Also what an insanely unnecessary use of Bluetooth!

I used to love recharging my own AC but I live in horrible Washington State and they made it illegal so I have to go to Idaho now to do it
I think fans run at certain pressure to remove heat from compressed gas. Low pressure= no running fans.

Oh, that stuff is the best. My honda fit needed this once a year from new, but then after a few years it started holding charge. No idea why but whatever works :). Don't see any point to Bluetooth though - maybe bluetooth gear is cheaper than a quality gauge now.

I just charged my daughter's CR-V the other day because it was blowing hot air. I need to replace the expansion valve on my F150. It has a very slow leak.
In Australia we can't get stuff like that. All refrigerant requires a license. You have to go to a professional and pay an arm and leg. Luck Americans!
Supercheap sells those R1234YF canisters but there’s not many vehicles here that use that refrigerant.
Illegal in some states now too but we can drive to a neighbor state or up to Canada and use it there. It is illegal to transport in to states where it is illegal unless you used it in the legal state and now the refrigerant is in your system. Clearly some citizens failed at voting.

you should run a vacuum pump on it first and see if the system is solid first or you may end up doing it again and again due to leaks

That wasn't a req for ACPRO. They want to sell their product to people who think they can fix their own leaky system with some more junky refrigerant with dyes and leak seal in it.

A/C Pro is great if you want too much oil in your system and reduced cooling
If there was little or no refrigerant in the system, then there is a leak. Filling it back up with refrigerant did not "...fix Eric's work truck." You just put a Band-Aid on the problem which will recur in short order.

I’m surprised that you endorsed this product and process JR. As any respectable mechanic knows, you need to find and repair the leak first, vacuum down the system and then charge with Freon. The AC/Pro contains a stop leak that will totally gum up the internals of the AC system not to mention it will contaminate the entire container of gas on a professional recovery/charge machine like the one you already own. I’m sure Johnny and the Wizard would cringe at this video. I get you need to pay bills but this is not the way imho.

First since your trying to be accurate, it's not FREON it's refrigerant FREON is a trade name from Dupont Corp. The refrigerant he is using is most likely R134. This particular truck was already low enough on refrigerant that the low pressure switch had the compressor was off.
My point is the product he used was designed just for this purpose. I have been doing HVAC for 40+yrs and if someone wants to repair there own for what ever reason so be it. Cheap & fast is what some people only have at there disposal.
A/C stop is oxygen reactive with not gum up metal but stick to rubber.
Literally the one time in my 2 years of tech school that our instructor said if you are going to use a stop leak A/C is the only time for rubber prong leaks only. If you have a hole all gone and no big deal.
I agree but I had a 96 s10 that I did this to every couple of years. I wasn't sticking a new compressor and evaporator in that old truck. He should've just made a disclaimer about when someone should use it.
I guess Ford doesn't want people to know their F-NoFiddys have AC problems. Not sure why because that is just a normal thing for all vehicles eventually...

He had a professional machine to do that I thought. This was an ad for a DIY product. I used to use an older version of that product until my governor needlessly banned it. I think he thought people were draining their systems to the atomosphere and refilling. These products just top off the system

One won't be colder than the other but this is not a proper fix, better off fixing it properly.
I have to take my jeep renegade to the dealership to fix a few things and fix the ac system. It's going to cost about $2,500
