- According to the internet this is the most perfect truck built in the last 20 years a 2006 GMC Sierra work truck without a single option. I bought this truck for just $1,500 and while it technically runs and drives, it needs a transmission to actually go anywhere. Now it's time to fix the 4L60e that's slowly moving towards all neutrals.

I love how Eric has grown to be comfortable with the camera is relaxed and cracking jokes all the time.
I paid a guy 250$ to rebuild a turbo 350 on my tailgate at the Walmart parking lot. Found him on Craigslist and it worked perfect lmao this was like 2017
My Dad owned an automatic transmission shop back in the day. When I was a kid I used to work there. We never pre filled the torque converter. The pump does that for you.
You need to hook that man up, he has been kicking ass with you. My vote is for the work's on his radio.
Torque converter fill with no funnel and no mess was next level sh%t!
Always flush out the trans cooler best you can or install an inline filter to catch the debris from the last grenaded transmission.
I'm guessing this is the/a new camera?
Hi John. Ok so here is a little story: in 2006 a local Chevy dealership had an ad where they would give you some crazy trade in amount on anything that you could drive onto the lot. That combined with a bunch of manufacturer an dealer discount should have allowed me to get a brand new 2006 work truck with a 6 cylinder and a stick-that was all I wanted, and even the short bed would have been fine, but it did not have air conditioning. That one would have been $7,750 Still a smoking deal. Almost got it, clearly click bait I guess for 18 years ago. I asked what was the next step up. It was basically what you guys are working on. V8, auto, 8 foot bed and air conditioning. I was out the door including tax for $10,200!! I had it for 2 years put about 4,000 miles on it-actually it was loaned out to friends more often than me using it! Very handy but not getting a ton of use. I think I could have power braked the right rear tire off in about 3 minutes if I wanted to! I had it over 100 more than once, and it was awesome to pass people on a highway! I doubt 0-60 was much under like 8 seconds. In the end I got tired of looking at this basically brand new truck being parked in front of my house (I had several other cars and trucks at the time too) A contractor that was doing some work for me asked if I would sell it-I think I got $15,000 for it. So basically a free truck. I would do that again if I could!! What are you saying, new basic ones are like $40,000? 4x in 18 years. Wow! Good luck with yours!
GM absolutely used different color oil pump to pickup tube depending on the motor but I am sure a Felpro becomes a catch all.
Ive got one of these trucks in a short wheel base 2wd with 360k in mileage and just for fun did a 0-60 in 7.6 seconds at a 5k elevation with the draggy. Its one of those trucks that just keeps going.
Impressed with the clean valve train. JR you have to give Eric a good sound system for the work truck. Hope you are feeling better.
I must say JR, out of all of the cartubers, you found the best spot in Mexico with the best looking Churches....I might have to look into that area.
Where's the Android Stereo....might as well get Eric a Subwoofer
Glad to see ya back at work mate.😅
It might be worthwhile to lug some transmissions up to Wichita for a $650 rebuild!
Way late. We missed you this week J.R.!
Now ... a good seat is needed, probably find a decent one at a junkyard. Good work truck indeed. Thanx 4 sharing this vid.
Watch JR Install Another ATOTO 😂
THESE are the fids I love!!! As well as the construction vids. The scrapping ones..... No closure. Becker set to see the cars move. May pay the bills but.....
My dad use to do some great back yard rebuilds and they'd hold up 2. Just kind of sucks parts got so expensive over time
