I'm a graphic designer so I'm diy-ing everything stationary, obviously I get carried away because that's just me so this is SOOOO helpful so I don't spend so much money on printing 💀🤣
I saved money by not overly customizing my signage. Most of my signage was from Amazon and Hobby Lobby. The only custom sign was our seating chart. I got the template for $12 on Etsy, a poster frame from Michael’s for $15 and printed for around $30 at FedEx. That was the most expensive signage we had by far.
My wedding is June 2025 and I have been watching every video of yours to prepare 😆 I would love for you to do a similar video like this but instead of signs if you could do guest favors and entertainment activities to do at a wedding/reception. I’m doing a whimsical type of wedding which is Bridgerton inspired but I also want to do trivia during reception as my husband and I love trivia but wasn’t sure if that was too tacky lol
My FSIL does cricket things as her side gig and she’s helping me for a drastic discount so I love this! I have been racking my brain what signs I need and what ones I don’t. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I have a homemade welcome sign that has the timeline on one side and the seating for food on the other side, with the Welcome info in the middle. So I only had to make one sign and just need to get someone to move it during the ceremony from the front door to the reception room. Fingers crossed it all works… Once my wedding is over (in a couple of weeks! Eek!) I’ll let you know and link to a pic…
I thought l knew what signs I wanted at my wedding and then I watched this… man I gotta go back to the drawing board…maybe? Ty for sharing very informative!
I recently attended a wedding (of my partner's friend, who was the groom) who I WISH had made a 'pick a seat not a side' sign for the ceremony. The grooms family was really large and most of the friends attending were joint ones of the bride and groom BUT knew the groom first so felt more obliged to sit on the grooms side. Cue a (honestly hellishly - for someone like myself with social anxiety) awkward moment where the grooms side was overflowing with people even standing at the back and the brides side was only half full but everyone felt too awkward to move. And the photographers were trying to juggle people around but it didn't really work and honestly it was really stressful and awkward 😅 my partner and I were sat at the very back of the grooms side and the seats available on the brides side were in the middle, and the people standing behind us were the grooms family, so we felt like we should move but it just felt wrong to sit nearer the front than the family? And I guess I couldn't understand why they didn't just go and sit on the other side because they'd be nearer the front, regardless of who's 'side' it was supposed to be. And maybe we were in the wrong but I was feeling so stressed and anxious at that point that I couldn't move 😅
My cousin and her husband love trivia so they worked that into finding your seats. We'd find our name tag with a trivia question about one of them (depending on which family you were from) then the answers had your table number under it ! It was so cool, the answers were easy to guess and the guests loved it ❤ just an idea for anyone else who likes trivia
Makes me so glad we are having a private ceremony! I think we will have a welcome/reception timeline plan and food allergen labels and that's it haha Edited: oops, forgot the seating chart
At 2 weddings that I went to, they didn’t have escort cards, the people that worked at the halls asked you your name when you entered and they had the seating charts on iPads. I’m thinking about doing that, that way I don’t have to spend money on escort cards or think of the designs
My fiancé and I are actually staying in an airbnb on the wedding venue property, so we won't really have a grand send-off, and I would feel weird faking it. However, I do love those pictures! Does anyone have an idea of what we can do instead?
Can you have a grand entrance instead? "Grab a sparkler, and welcome us in" ?? Throw confetti? Bubble tunnel? I don't know, there's a reason I am not doing these 😂
So, let's say you're doing a seating chart by last name and you have a couple that have different last names, do you just put them on separately on the chart? Not that I actually have this happening to me, just wondering
We did escort cards by last name, and just listed the lady partner first and did it by their last name So like Anne Aardvark and Bob Brillo would be under A but both names were put on cards (lol generally the lady partner seemed more reliable to find their name)

Trivia is a really fun idea! I feel card games and lawn games also have bridgerton regency vibes
@@jw844 The wedding venue is all indoors but the card games is also a good idea thank you!
I’ve also seen photo albums/apps, where everyone can scan a QR code and put pictures into a joint album!

Omg THANK YOU this is like exactly the video I needed 😭💖
Please do a send off video quickly! My day is in 1.5 weeks ;)
I hope you had a wonderful wedding ❤

What would you suggest for an unplug announcement if your officiant is a bridesmaid?

My mom was a wedding planner and in Puerto Rico its used as “X Y Family”
Yeah I am grouping people by couple or by family, regardless of name

I love announcing, this will be an unplugged ceremony they’ve spent a lot of money on photographers
