    Hi, its a pleasure to see that you are still adding to this series ... it is actually the best tutorial series about the Viggen, that I've yet seen; thanks a lot for your kind help on us getting to learn this complex plane. Cheers.

    Thanks John, very helpful tutorial this one. My entire sqaudron is making use of it!

    I would like to thank you, John, for this series. I find it the best one out of all of the others I've seen. You take things slow so that everyone can understand what you're saying and doing, guaranteed. At first I was really puzzled about on how to operating the viggen but with your help I can now fly this machine with quite som confidence, all thanks to you!

    I’m just getting into the Viggen. Your tutorials are excellent, thank you for your efforts mate.

    Fantastic video as always, thanks for helping the rest of us keep up! Just a short note at the end regarding the reverser failing to kick in initially: pushing the throttle into any of the afterburner stages will cause an override to allow for the pilot to quickly break away for a go-around. Additionally there's currently an unresolved bug with the landing gear and on occasion it will not detect collision with the ground (specifically the rear-left) which will cause the reverser to "think" it's still airborne and thus not engage.

      Thank you!
      Didn't know that about the reverser. Very usefull information!

    At landing, the vertical 'fin' inside your flight path marker indicates the necessary speed to maintain the correct AOA. It is correct when it doesn't intersect the circle and has a zero length gap to it. In your landing your speed was to low to maintain the AOA thus your sinking rate was very high and in the end you got the AOA warning because you needed to critically force the aircraft up for a correct attitude.
    If you constantly change your throttle so the fin perfectly meets the circle, your landing will be perfect :)

    • @xxJohnxx77
      @xxJohnxx77  7 лет назад

      Thank you for the tip. I was aware that the fin shows the ideal speed, but I didn't know that it would work for the final approach phase as well. Will definatelly keep that in mind for the next flight!

    Hey Jon, don't have the viggen yet but I'm still enjoying all your videos! Will you ever consider doing non tutorial content in the future? I really like your personality and style of presentation.

    • @xxJohnxx77
      @xxJohnxx77  7 лет назад

      Thanks! I have been considering that for some time now. However, so far, I couldn't get arround to produce stuff that I like that has nothing to do with tutorials. A lot of non-tutorial projects went to the scrap-bin so far.
      Maybe another time!

    Excellent series of videos. Now using this method of way point input, how can we input a target point? I mean say from JATAC. We can input the LOLA, coordinates, however the altitude represents a problem, since we need the pressure (QFE) at the target point to set up the bomb sights?

    • @xxJohnxx77
      @xxJohnxx77  7 лет назад +1

      I will cover QFE calculation (and other methods) in the next video. I hope to get it recorded and uploaded tomorrow!

    Hi @xxJohnxx,
    Could you do a video teaching us how to fly non-visually at low altitude. Finding it hard to develop a flow (which gauges and indications to watch) while flying on the deck through fog/at night.
    I'll fly your wing if you do :)

      I don't think it works properly yet Ernesto! I did get the dials to work if you press the '-' button just over the turn-dials (left panel) and than turn the AM dials into a frequency. 9/10 times it works, but I think it's something LN put low on their priorities, which I don't blame them for because I forget to ask permission to land anyway :P.
