My very first trip to Bermuda was 50 years ago and my husband and I flew and stayed at the Princess Hotel in Hamilton. Of course that many years ago, it was much different and cost a lot less than it does now in 2023. I was hooked and now I can honestly say that I have been there many times. I lost count after 33 times. I have cruised and also flown there and I then began to fly there because I wanted more time on the island, just as you two said. So, over the past 25-30 years, I have been alone in life and flying there and staying in St. Georges in apartments that you can rent, so that I can afford to just go and not be on schedules to be on ferries to the dockyard. My last trip was to be my last. I saved up enough to stay for 6 weeks. Now you have to realize that over the years I have made many friends on the island, and now it is like going to my second home. I just love that little town of St. Georges and everyone is so friendly and the little grocery store is right there in the middle of it and it was so easy to stay that long. Groceries are expensive, for the obvious reason that you mentioned. I never feel trapped, because there are ferries and buses that go anywhere you want to go. I have stayed in St. Georges so many times now that the shop owners know me and so do the little men sitting on benches drinking their beer out of paper bags. 😄 The airport is very close to St. Georges, so cab fare is so much less and I go to the post office and get my transportation tickets and hop on ferries and busses and go where I want, but now at the age of 78, I do not do as much running around and I just love to go to the dock there and sit and watch the goings on. Your video was so special to me because I was going to try to go back one more time, but I fell and fractured my shoulder and had to cancel my reservations. Go while you can, that island is filled with treasures. Now you know why I loved your video so much. You took me there VIA RUclips. 💛💙
I'm Bermudian and I have been living in England for 9/10 yrs now, I haven't been back since and it was so awesome to see my home town through your eyes. It was a joy to watch and I'm so happy you enjoyed my little island 🏝
What I love best about bermuda is that is it super safe to go around at any time even 2 am and don't have to worry about anything as well as when you get off the ship or ferry and while relaxing on the beach no one is constantly bothering you to buy this or that or asking for money.
Few years back we did Bermuda on Carnival. Same thing they dock for three days. We left out of New York. We docked at Hamilton. First day we got in maybe 1 PM. We did the pink sand beach or known as Horseshoe Bay. We went to the caverns two different ones. Went to the glass beach. And did shopping in a couple places. Loved it because we stayed for 2 1/2 days. The casino and bars stayed open the entire time. You could stay out until 2 am. Loved it definitely going back.
Our stay in Bermuda got cut very short because of a Hurricane following our ship. We did a sea walk from a local captain. He took us out in his boat and we got to put on those old brass dive helmets and we walked on the bottom of the Ocean for about a hour. The fish were trained and let us hold them. It was amazing. I want to go back and actually spend some time on the island again. The hurricanes were really rocking our ship that year. We loved it the whole week. Took us about a month to get our land legs back.
Tobacco Bay was our swimming hole when I was a kid. My father was at Kindley AFB (it was a USAF base, the USN took it over for a few years when the Air Force pulled out) so we lived there for 3 years. We live 2 doors down from the Unfinished Cathedral (church ruin). I liked how you took time to find the Blue Hole then Tobacco Bay. Getting a cab driver can really be worth the money, most of them will be more than happy to point out the things they know. My wife and I need to plan a trip back to Bermuda. It's on the list again. Again, great job on the video.
I have cruised to Bermuda 4 times, but all of them in the '70's &'80's . Being a life long Bostonian, it was so convenient to do this cruise. 3 of 4 were on a small Greek ship by the name of " Amerikanis" , it was a Chandris line ship. Now as a Floridian, & after watching this beautiful video? I am planning on another cruise to Bermuda out of Boston! Thanks for putting the bee in my bonnet! Lol!
Donna Gatsoulis, so interested in your comment. Cruising out of Boston is so much easier now than when we first went out of Boston in 2000. We are on another Boston--Bermuda cruise on Oct. 28, for a special cruise with husband and wife entertainers now living in the Pompano Beach area. Would love to hear about your Bermuda experiences in the 70's and 80's!
@@susanmotschman4396 in the 70's, I was in my 20's & cruised with my girlfriends & had such a great time as young single women! In the 80's, I was with my husband & our family, so as good as it was, it was much more quiet. The ship had 2 formal nights & even on the other nights, at dinner, people dressed better than they do now, in my opinion. The entertainment was very enjoyable on all of the cruises, as well as the food. I find that I enjoy the smaller ships , I find the larger ships overwhelming.at times. That cruise in October sounds wonderful! Does the couple from Pompano Beach perform locally as I live right next to Pompano Beach & would love to hear them.
Me and my husband went to Bermuda on the Americanis out of Boston as well. I bet we were on the same ship. I remember the band playing the Joe Cocker song “You Are So Beautiful”. That was the first of many trips to Bermuda and the first of many cruises. Longing for a revisit to Bermuda. The first time I was there there was only one traffic light on the whole island.
Hey guys.. just a thing about swizzle. Swizzle is meant to be made 3+ days before you drink it.. hence why they poured if from a bottle like they did at rum bum… Bermudian here 🇧🇲 Glad you had a great time
My favorite place in the world. Just booked a trip on the Pearl for next summer. We’ve been 5 times and still haven’t seen it all. Tobacco Bay is amazing. The best thing about Bermuda are the locals. They are so friendly and helpful.
I live there for 30 years, was born in Illinois. It's one of the best islands I have ever been too. I have traveled all over the Caribbean, nothing is like Bermuda. 👍
So happy that you both get why we can’t get enough of beautiful Bermuda! Cruising there is much more economical than flying & staying at a resort. We’ve done both & cruising is the best, especially from NYC. Leaving NYC on a cruise ship is an awesome experience! Can’t wait for your Bar Harbor vlog, we LOVE Bar Harbor!
We were on the Pearl May 13-20. Although it was warmer than your cruise, at 50% capacity on the ship, I enjoyed the pool deck like I haven't in a long, long time. I could easily get used to this low capacity, but suppose it won't last too long. Sorry for the second comment, but watching your experiences always makes me want to comment, comment, comment. I've been able to hold back until you did the Pearl cruise to Bermuda❣I can't wait to see your Bar Harbor video.
I was on that same cruise. Wish they would do away with the Bar Harbor stop. Much too cold there when we went. Bermuda was great though. We were told it capacity was 60% and the following week they expected close to 70% with schools out, etc. We enjoyed the low capacity as well.
I only got to spend 1 day there on a trans-Atlantic cruise years ago, and it is STILL one of my favorite places. I teared up several times in this video.
We went to the unfinished church & then Tobacco Bay for snorkeling on our trip back in 2016. We did not rent a scooter or take any of the shore excursions, but we saw a lot & now your video's show me that we MUST go back so I can see the other places you saw that we didn't. Thank you.
Glad you both had a blast in Bermuda 🇧🇲. Wish you saw more !maybe next time find a local to take you around to some extra hidden treasures.. have a blessed adventure!
My husband and I just got back from Bermuda. We loved it. This is the part of the island we didn’t get to see. I absolutely loved more than I expected. I can’t wait to go back
Watching these videos and reminiscing about my cruise to Bermuda on the Escape in 2019. Tobacco Bay was one of my favorite places - we spent hours there just swimming and drinking the rum punch. Truly breathtaking. Those memories brought me such peace during the craziness that was 2020. I also loved Jobson's Cove. Can't wait to return to Bermuda sometime soon. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
We also had two and a half days at Bermuda on MSC Meraviglia but didn’t get a chance to visit St George’s. You’re right it’s a very relaxing island. Gives us more of a reason to come back.
Yes in complete agreement that having 3 full days on Bermuda when on a cruise is incredible ! Here's another tip for you and your cruise family: NCL has a 4 full days itinerary in Bermuda on the Joy this November 12-19. It is THE only one, as the rest are 3 days. Thank you both SO SO much for these video's to Bermuda, all about the Pearl, and your posting soon for Bar Harbor. We are going on the exact same cruise in July, so we are very excited to see your tips and tricks :-) CHEERS !!!
I've been on this cruise 3 times, going for a 4th time in 2 weeks. It's the nicest and most affordable way to enjoy the island. Good food, good people, good times!! Peace to all.
I love Bermuda. I spent 2 days there with carnival. Did an 8 hr tour. As a matter of fact this was my last cruise before the pandemic. Can't wait to come back.
Enjoyed the show! Headed to Bermuda to stay on island for a few days. and in October onto Norwegian Pearl for the Canada trip - going to catch up on some of the stops y'all made.
We have done bermuda 3 times. Twice on the ncl dawn and once on ncl breakaway. Unfortunately the last trip we got quarantined to our room due to possible close contact on the ship. I love bermuda and the 3 days to explore. My favorite island I've been to. The beach parties at snorkel park are really fun. Great music and atmosphere and a quick stagger back to the ship. I hope to go back soon.
I’m a Canadian fan of your Vlogs and have watched a number of them. Totally enjoy all your travels ! Just saw your trip to Bermuda on the beautiful Pearl! Hopping my partner and I will be able to do the same soon!
loved this video. we live in boston so looking forward to not having to fly to a port. we will be going in october. we love bermuda. we went years ago on our honeymoon and just went on the Gem in 2019.so laidback and beautiful.
Love that you have discovered how wonderful Bermuda is and want to return. I love St. George's, was disappointed two weeks ago to see so many shops closed due to Covid. We love Bermuda so much that we have done 9 or 10 cruises there on 4 different cruise lines. Was there on the Pearl two weeks ago, going again on Pearl at the end of October on the Jozay and Patti cruise. Need to tell you that I'm loving your Pearl/Bermuda videos!!!
We have visited around 12 times now and 3 days would not ever be enough. We fly in and stay at least 10 days to 14 days and have still not seen everything in beautiful Bermuda. 3 days would never be enough!
Awwww. Love that you enjoied my home. Definitely when you come back go fishing both off the rocks like we do and deepsea. The the water adventures are so much fun. If you dive they take you to some of the shipwrecks to explore. Maybe try come during Cumpatch which is the end of july/ beginning of august, that is a really nice time there is a big 2 day cricket match. Also I saw someone comment on the other video about the swizzle. We diffently make it and let it sit in the back of the fridge and ferment it is smoother and just decilous, dont rememeber if you tried a dark and stormy but defintly try if you havent already.
Hi. Out of all the videos of you I've watched, this seems to be your most enjoyable. I'm happy to take my 2nd. Carnival Cruise to Bermuda.in August I understood the feeling cause I'm very happy to be returning.
Ayy, Bermuda is really a true beauty. I have lived her my whole life and it never gets old. When you guys were here, you guys should have tried loquats but you guys came a little late. If you guys wanna try loquats, you guys gotta come around February. They are way better than Bermuda cherries lol.
Love love love the travel vids for new ports. Would love to see some van content and what road trips look like. Super interested in that! Awesome as always.
we also do this cruise because we live in Massachusetts. Loved your videos, you are both so enthusiastic, which I appreciated. I’ve new to you but I did subscribe, liked and hit the bell!!
Lots to see and do here. If you come back aim for mid-June for the Hero's day holiday or end of July for Cup Match if you really want to get a taste of the local flavour. Another good vid! Glad you got a chance to check out Bermuda! :)
Awesome job!!! You two have such a laid-back approach to your video, loved it! We (wife and I) will be there in a couple of weeks and look forward to finding the areas you visited. Thank you for posting, and I did subscribe. Wishing you both many more cruising adventures!
I liked how beautiful and laid back it looked . You got to forage and walk down a nature trail to the blue hole than to Tabasco Bay it was not crowded it looks like a place to visit. Than you told us how expensive it is 😣
Glad you enjoyed. When you come back you must come to the middle of the island and immerse yourself in a local cooking and walking tour. Beyond the Boundaries of Taste by N'Moderation. See Trip Advisor or Viator for details.😊
Love the new van!!!! I've been watching since the new year, and Love seeing all of your cruises 🛳, myself, I won't be able to be on a cruise, so its nice watching you guys!! I was just wondering do you have twins?? I thought I seen some on one of your blogs? Thank you for letting us into your lives ❤ 🥰
This was awesome. Putting Bermuda on the "to see" list. Is it often a destination where cruise ships stay? Not sure I've seen other places. Looking forward to seeing Bar Harbor Maine and soon Hawaii!! :)
You guys have great videos. My wife and I will be there in a couple weeks for July 2,3,4 . Did you happen to see if there where any bicycle rental places in the Royal Dock Yard
Our first cruise to Bermuda was one cancelled by the pandemic but watching this will definitely make sure we rebook sooner rather than later. Would appreciate some pricing as you go along your travels. You had done in the past. Like the ferry, how much Bobo charged and what was your suggested tip etc. TIA
I'm going to Bermuda in 2 days from Boston. I know it's going to be cooler, but what I like about it (and this may be a personal thing) but the April sailings don't go to Bar Harbor so we actually get another full day in Bermuda which I'm looking forward to.

Than you told us how expensive it is 😣
You should do a group cruise back to Bermuda, I can't wait to go back.
Enjoy your day beautiful video 👍
Beautiful place! Looks like fun!
Beautiful veiw
It's beautiful blue water
If I’m not wrong, here in Puerto Rico we called that fruit “Acerola”. It’s delicious!
Don’t miss to stay in Grotto bay BEACH resort the best spa inside caves …
Glad you enjoyed. When you come back you must come to the middle of the island and immerse yourself in a local cooking and walking tour. Beyond the Boundaries of Taste by N'Moderation. See Trip Advisor or Viator for details.😊
Coffee rules ✅🔥
We want to know what you do😂 to be able to afford all those wonderful cruises!
Hi guys, glad to see you are having a good time. Couple questions 1. Was it ruff seas leaving Boston? 2. How was the entertainment?
Love the new van!!!! I've been watching since the new year, and Love seeing all of your cruises 🛳, myself, I won't be able to be on a cruise, so its nice watching you guys!! I was just wondering do you have twins?? I thought I seen some on one of your blogs? Thank you for letting us into your lives ❤ 🥰
Yes, we have identical twin boys, they are almost 19 now.
@@EECCTravels awesome!!!
Damn I was in bermuda last week! Royal Caribbean
Were the cherries called Surinam cherries? Jodie did some research on those for you! We still would love to join you guys onboard one day! 🙏🙏🙏🍾🍾
Yep that’s what they were!! They were delicious 👍
We are going to Bermuda on sept 30th, will be there 3 days. Im wondering is the water warm enough to swim late sept early oct.
It will be chilly then but you can still swim.
I wish they would do that in Jamaica or one of the bigger islands that have so much to see. There's just not enough time.
