I've sailed on the Pearl twice - once to Alaska and then on the East to West Panama Canal trip from Miami to L.A. It has most everything you need for an enjoyable trip. The Great Outdoors was one of my favorite spots on the ship.
Hi EECC, We were on the pearl in 2016 in Alaska! We had a fantastic time on that ship. The outdoor buffet area was perfect when we in Glacier Bay for 3 hours. People had their cameras set up on tripods at the railings as the ship did 360 degree views of the glaciers! They walked around giving out mimosas and champagne. It was my favorite cruise that I have ever done! Glad you enjoyed the little but might Pearl!! Cheers!
I could drive to Boston and never cruised out of Boston! Usually I drive to NY or fly to FL. So this was a great video something to think about for next year!
We sailed on the Pearl in 2013. Got a western Caribbean cruise for $299 a piece. Couldn't pass it up then. Been to Bermuda. Absolutely beautiful. My favorite island/port to date
My very first cruise was on the Pearl when she was new. I loved it! My understanding is that she recently underwent a total refurbishment. Would love to sail on her again! Thanks for sharing!!!
The outside part of the buffet was my favourite place to have breakfast when I was on the Pearl on the summer of '24. It's nice to get fresh air with your morning yoghurt.
We love "Jewel Class" ships. I've been on the Jewel and the Pearl in Alaska and the Dawn as well. Bermuda is one of my favorite cruises. Love the Great Outdoors on the Aft of the ship. Great place to hang out, eat and have some cocktails!
Just got off this terrific mid-size ship on Friday. In the video, we recognized our favorite Steward from Summer Palace and Greeter to the cafe, Redelick. Wish he could still be on when we do Boston to Bermuda again on the Pearl at the end of October. (Tell him hello from Les and Susan! We even gave him some maple syrup that we make.) Had breakfast every single day at O'Sheehan's--we even book our stateroom to be close to O'Sheehan's!.....Looking forward to your Pearl videos❣❣❣
My first cruise was on the Pearl, out of Seattle to Alaska. It was kind of a retirement gift. My two besties booked it and then told me we were going. I was in an inside cabin. One of my main reasons for not wanting to cruise is my claustrophobia, so I was a bit worried. But I have to say I did not feel closed in I felt cocooned. I have cruised three more times and in an inside cabin, I like that cocooned feeling. The crew was amazing! One of the bartenders at the atrium bar some how knew our names and our preference for their Bloody Marys with the olives stuffed with little teeny tiny pickles. Her name was Joyce and she knew us by name by the second morning. This was before the ship applications on our phones. So basically I spent a great deal of time looking for my friends. Joyce always remembered to tell me when and where my friends where headed. It was a hoot!
I can't wait to see your reaction the first time you hear Sweet Caroline played in a lounge on the ship. So good! So good! So good!!!!!!!! (It is played during the 8th inning at Fenway Park. Everyone really gets into it, as you can probably tell!)
Oh my Gosh, I've been waiting for someone to create a vlog of the Pearl! I've been scoping out this cruise out of Boston hoping this ship was decent. We live in Rhode Island and the Port is only an hour away from us so the convenience for us is awesome. Make sure you take a bus ride while in Bermuda and get yourself a key chain stating you survived a Bermuda bus ride!
❤loved this video o this cruise ship to Bermuda. I was born in Bermuda and I enjoyed seeing all the places I knew. A very cool feature of Bermuda is that most of the houses and villas have names attached to them . When I was born, the house we lived in was named Glendora. and all the houses are painted in pastel colours that is a beautiful sight from the air and surrounded by the beautiful aqua Colour of the ocean.
I sailed on the Pearl in 2007 to Alaska when it was fairly new and again to Alaska in 2017 after it had been refurbished. I love that older ship. Loved the window seats. Favorite was the Spinnaker Lounge with the floor to ceiling windows.
To answer your question, I love the informal ship tour. I just love watching you discover things just like your old school vlogs when I first started watching.
Absolutely love that kind of video. You did an awesome job showing us around. And you really made me fall in love with that smaller more traditional ship. Big thumbs up!!
I was on the Pearl back in Feb 2019 from Tampa to Bahamas. It was the "Walker Stalker Cruise." I'm a big "Walking Dead" nerd, and we were sharing the ship with a large amt of the cast from The Walking Dead. We had an amazing time, and the ship was gorgeous!!
Loved your tour of the ship. It was fun to share your enthusiasm as you discovered all the different areas. I really liked the look of thus smaller ship.👍😀
Been to Bermuda several times, it's one of my favorite places on the planet, it's beautiful, and you'll love it! My favorite trips to Bermuda were all on small ships; the best was the Pacific Princess (The Original Love Boat) when you could still get into all 3 ports. Make sure you go to the Frog and Onion Pub and get some Bermuda Fish Chowder! And have plenty of Dark and Stormies, have one for me!
We LOVE Bermuda! Visited there for Honeymoon, 2nd anniversary, 20th anniversary & sailed from NYC on the NCL Breakaway in 2015! Did I mention that we LOVE Bermuda! So excited see your experiences on the ship & beautiful island! It will get warmer…we’ve been there twice in May & the weather was perfect 🌞🏝🍹
Thanks for the tour of the ship its lovely. I have not sail out of Boston or been to Bermuda yet. I will stay turn in for more vlogs of you cruise. Have a great time!!
What a great tour of the Pearl. I think I will love it too (one day!). Jason, great hair cut! You guys are awesome! Love your enthusiasm and pure joy about things!
The aft is very much like our very first NCL cruise on either the sky or the sun..think the sky. We loved the back as there was that food back there a bar and lots of covered space to get out of the sun
Really love this way of showing the ship. You two are awesome. Since we have have 14 Next Sail certificates, we will be looking in to some itineraries on this ship. Also, in case you didn’t know, you can go to the next cruise desk and buy 8 certificates for $1,000. They give you $1,000 back on your shipboard account. We picked up 16 on our NCL Bliss Alaskan cruise.
I feel like there is more open spaces on a smaller ship than the larger ships. The walk ability is a perk for my less than fit self. Lol Huge ships are amazing but I love the size of these types of ships. Also, Bermuda is my very favorite port. I have cruised their 7 times. Love love love it!
You're not wrong! With Carnival, the ship that has the most space per guest is the Spirit class. One of their smallest. The big ships are often big because of so many cabins. I am definitely a fan of the small ones.
EECC Travels, what away to go with you two we are loving every moment. We felt like we were riding right along with you also, something new and different great ideal going to another country by ship. We are glad to say we have been with you by RV, Van and now Ship, keep up the great work. Stay safe and may the Lord see you through and back.
This is a great ship for solo cruisers--met many on our cruise last week. Hated to disembark the Pearl at week's end😭😭😭 We are back on Norwegian Pearl this October 28!
We had 4 people in a room that size on NCL Jewel. One bed came down from wall. Another was a cot that popped up in the middle. It was a bit tight and we've never done that again, although it was a really good price (as it should have been). NCL's older ships are fine. Only Carnival's older ships are really heinous.
Love the tour style! We are cruising on the NCL Joy in July to Bermuda and very excited! You mentioned having to submit the travel authorization online…we had not heard that, so thank you!!
Be sure to do the Bermuda travel authorisation (their spelling) before, assuming it's still needed in July. We boarded on May 13--20 minutes after arriving at the terminal, we were on the ship! Some of those who were lazy about all the requirements needed an extra hour or two to complete everything. You CAN be denied boarding if necessary, with no refund. p.s. We were advised daily in the week before the cruise by NCL and by our travel agent to complete the travel authorisation. To do this, the last step is to take an approved Covid test within 2 days of sailing. We went with the test that NCL suggested. If you want exact steps, let me know.
I absolutely LOVE you guys!!! We’re sailing on the Norwegian Jewel this august, and looking forward to trying a smaller ship. Your blogs are fun and informative. I fell like I’m travelling with you both. Keep up the great work, it must be fun!
I sailed on the GEM in august of 2019 to Bermuda and was planning on the pearl in June of this year, fortunately, we upgraded to the joy, and sailing to Bermuda again. This ship seems awesome, and hopefully, I will sail on it someday. Thanks for taking us along!
I really love yall personalities. I’m glad a found your videos. I Just planned an adults family cruise on the Pearl for December. I was looking for a good review of the ship and you guys did not disappoint. Thank you.
I appreciate your favorable commentary about the Norwegian pearl and its departure from Boston. My daughter and I live in the Boston area and are taking the same ship this summer in July 2023. And we have an inside cabin too. So, that’s a relief to hear about the comfort of your stateroom. I was on the way. Norwegian Dawn in January 2023 on an 11-night trip to the southern Caribbean Islands, and it was fabulous. You probably know that as of November 2022, Bermuda eliminated the authorization form that cost $40. Thank you for the ship tour. It was delightful. Keep up the great work. 🌹
I like this kind of informal ship tour! Feels like we're right there with you. Boston is my favorite city, used to go every year but not since Covid. Jason rockin' a Red Sox shirt. Love it.
I really like this format! Love exploring the Pearl with you all! I went on the Pearl before she went through her updates, so I'll be interested to spot any differences and be reminded of the Pearl anyway.
I hope you enjoy your cruise. I like the way you did the ship tour as it was your first time on board It was good to see it as you were for the first time. I think the inside cabin looks cool and cosy. Cant wait to see your port stops and enjoy
The jewel-class NCL ships get a lot of love and hardcore followers. Completely different but charming feel compared with the Breakaway(plus) ships. Apples and oranges. I was thinking about doing the jade in the med. Shame about the temperature, I do Boston to Bermuda every year and have been lucky to get 80 degree days in mid May with all the hot tubs/pools packed, hopefully you enjoy the itinerary and try again with the boys in the future. The 3 days in Bermuda are unmatched by any other cruise I feel like. I’ll jump back and forth between Boston (small ship) and NYC (big ship) depending on price and availability.
We enjoy sailing on smaller ships with certain itineraries. We have sailed on RCL Vision of the Seas several times on Transatlantics and in the Mediterranean. We also did a b2b on NCL Jade out of Venice- one of our most memorable cruises, back when Venice still allowed cruise ships to dock there. The best sail away ever!❤️ What smaller ships lack in venues as, compared to mega ships, they make up for in other ways. You get to know your fellow passengers and crew, for one thing. Service is generally more personal. The experience tends to be more laid back. It’s all on how you perceive it and what your travel priorities are.
Great video guys! My wife and I are going on this cruise on 8/12/22. I like the informal style you did this video in. Thank you for showcasing the ship. My first time cruising, my wife’s first time with NCL. Very excited!
What a contrast over the recent mega ships you've been on.. the buffet on NCL takes alot of beating too - great vlog and love the walk around format too 🙂
We live in southern New Hampshire which is basically a suburb of Boston, So enjoyed your day tour of Boston and watching first timers. Have wanted to take cruise from Boston to Bermuda. Looking forward to your adventures the next days. Have a great time!
This is a hard one for me to watch - i was scheduled to be on the Pearl the week after you sailed and i came down with covid and had to cancel- i have done that cruise twice on the Gem and Dawn and can't wait to go back- i prefer the club balcony suites though 🤔😉- I hope you both had a terrific time!!!
@@EECCTravels I plan to! Still working on getting my refund- as soon as the check is in my hand I will be rebooking- i am so glad you had a great time! I love that class of NCL ship and Bermuda is amazing!
I totally love this video. It's personal to fans and I like that. It's such an indepth viewing of the ship and I for one like to know what the ship is like.
Missed you guys when we hit Boston Saturday. Went to the Union Oyster Bar, did the Hop On Hop Off Trolley Tour, had Ice Cream at the Quincy Market. Hope your cruise goes well.
Two nights in Bermuda is great. We did that on the Joy out of NYC. Take the water taxis to the far end of the island, St. Georges. You can also take the water taxi to the capitol, Hamilton. Try the rum and fish soup. Find some pink sand.
I’ve only been on 2 cruises, both times the Pearl. One was for Canada and the other a Caribbean- LOVED the ship both times. We left from Boston and Miami. Going to be on the Joy next month!
Your lovely assistant helped us book our next cruise. This time we decided to get the cheers package mostly because of our love of the Java cafe! We want to try some cocktails too. Well my husband is more of a beer lover.
My brother and his wife live in Brookline NH! We go and it's 2 - 1 1/2 LB chicks each for us girls, and all the shellfish, corn, taters, and biscuits you want from there! Shellfish, lobster egg scramble, fresh fruit the next morning. Enjoy the NE!!
Our first time cruising as well from Boston. July should be warmer. We are returning to Bermuda, 0ur original honeymoon spot 50 years later!!!!! excited but a little anxious about night noise level. Thanks for this video! Loved seeing the Pearl and hearing your excitement.
Thanks Guys..we're gettin on the Pearl in Miami in two days for the "Blues Cruise" its gonna be our first cruise and your video made us feel a helluva lot better. We had a couple concerns that you straightened out for us.. Your video the best. Again...thanks
Love the small NCL ships, have been on the Gem and Spirit twice. Probably too late for this idea for your cruise...last time in Bermuda, six of us took a private tour by the hour from a local, shorts and all, in a small van. In about 6 hours, he took us to every hidden place on the island. At the time, it ended up costing us about $50 each, a much better deal than any shore excursion.
I usaly like large ships just lake large all inclusive but i will try a smaller ship just to compare.thanks for reminding us that those small ship are verry interesting and fun
I am SO EXCITED for this series! Love me some Boston to Bermuda cruising! Thank you for taking us along!
The Pearl holds a special place in mine and my hubby's hearts as she was our first cruise, our honeymoon, to Alaska :)
Why are is there over 30,000 viewers but only 2000 thumbs up. These guys are great please give them the thumbs up.
I've sailed on the Pearl twice - once to Alaska and then on the East to West Panama Canal trip from Miami to L.A. It has most everything you need for an enjoyable trip. The Great Outdoors was one of my favorite spots on the ship.

For decades San Francisco was my fav city until I visited Boston. Can't explain the feeling of Boston, but it felt a part of me and is now my #1.
I could drive to Boston and never cruised out of Boston! Usually I drive to NY or fly to FL. So this was a great video something to think about for next year!
Same here
Thank you for the great memories. We did the Pearl to Alaska in 2018 and live her. We also did the inside cabin as well.
The Pearl and Jewel are hands down my favorite NCL ships.
Really why is that? Have you been on many other ships NCL ??
No love for the Gem? The Gem is great. I kinda like there's no slides and racetracks, and I love the pools that are actually usable.
We sailed on the Pearl in 2013. Got a western Caribbean cruise for $299 a piece. Couldn't pass it up then. Been to Bermuda. Absolutely beautiful. My favorite island/port to date

Make sure you try the Rum Swizzle in Bermuda @The Swizzle Inn Pub and Restaurant, you will love this hole in the wall pllace!
We were on the Bermuda Pearl Boston- Bermuda cruise Apr 22nd. Absolutely loved it. Food was excellent. Felt totally safe with the no mask.

We have been on the Pearl 3 of our 13 cruises. It is by far our first choice.

NCL is going smaller starting with Prima and I love this.
I like this kind of ship tour. Can't wait to see Bermuda.

Next time you make hot cocoa, get some of the creamer, powdered works also, and add that in there. Gives it a more rich taste than just hot water.
I love sharing your firsts with you! Awesome way to see any ship. Thanks for taking us along.
Cant wait for this series..we were booked for Bermuda before the pandemic so haven t been yet. Love the idea of being in port for 3 days
My husband and I were on NCL Jewel in 2019 and loved it. Looking forward to the Pearl experience!
So looking forward to this. Bermuda is a cruise we have always wanted to do, and out of Boston too. Love Boston and especially cruising out of Boston.
Thanks for the tour of the ship its lovely. I have not sail out of Boston or been to Bermuda yet. I will stay turn in for more vlogs of you cruise. Have a great time!!
I do like the new ship tour it is exciting to see it when y’all just run up on something.
What a great tour of the Pearl. I think I will love it too (one day!). Jason, great hair cut! You guys are awesome! Love your enthusiasm and pure joy about things!

I love this new way of vlogging! Keep it up!!! I'm from Maine, have some lobstah for me and an Allagash white!
We will be on the Pearl in July! Can’t wait to sail!
Oh noooooo!! It was a fabulous cruise and I hope you were able to reschedule.
@@EECCTravels I plan to! Still working on getting my refund- as soon as the check is in my hand I will be rebooking- i am so glad you had a great time! I love that class of NCL ship and Bermuda is amazing!
Looking into 1st cruise to this destination. I appreciate your style of video reviews. Very informative. Thank you!
I totally love this video. It's personal to fans and I like that. It's such an indepth viewing of the ship and I for one like to know what the ship is like.
I’m solo cruising in 2 weeks to the Bahamas and I’m so excited about the Spa!
I am enjoying the informal ship tour! Enjoying your channel.
was on the pearl back in 2017 it was my first cruise and loved it
Missed you guys when we hit Boston Saturday.
My team is the best!! So glad you are all booked and ready to go!
I hope you enjoyed my hometown. Have fun in Bermuda!
Our first time cruising as well from Boston. July should be warmer. We are returning to Bermuda, 0ur original honeymoon spot 50 years later!!!!! excited but a little anxious about night noise level. Thanks for this video! Loved seeing the Pearl and hearing your excitement.
Thanks Guys..we're gettin on the Pearl in Miami in two days for the
"Blues Cruise" its gonna be our first cruise and your video made us feel a helluva lot better. We had a couple concerns that you straightened out for us..
Your video the best.
Again...thanks
We are booked on this cruise in August. Can’t wait.
Great video have fun 🌻🌼🌻🌼
Love the small NCL ships, have been on the Gem and Spirit twice. Probably too late for this idea for your cruise...last time in Bermuda, six of us took a private tour by the hour from a local, shorts and all, in a small van. In about 6 hours, he took us to every hidden place on the island. At the time, it ended up costing us about $50 each, a much better deal than any shore excursion.
I usaly like large ships just lake large all inclusive but i will try a smaller ship just to compare.thanks for reminding us that those small ship are verry interesting and fun
