Gold Mario / Gold Standard / Gold Tires / Gold Glider
Gold Mario / Mr. Scooty / Rollers / Paper Glider
How to unlock:
Gold Mario - come first in all cups in 200cc grand prix (base tracks only)
Gold Standard - win every cup with a single star on both 150cc and mirror mode grand prix (base tracks only)
Gold Tires - beat every staff ghost in time trial mode at 150cc (base tracks only)
Gold Glider - collect 5,000 coins in total

3:03 It also affects how strong the mini-turbo boost is and by how much you slow down when the boost ends. Affects jump boosts as well, not just mini-turbos.
