Magna Tizca (Tizca the Great) is a Warhammer 40K music composed and produced by Legio Symphonica. This Warhammer 40K music is about the Thousand Sons and the burning of Prospero during the Horus Heresy. I did this composition a few years ago and it was a bit dusty (pun intended), so I had to give it a small update before I can finally share it with you !
I really liked to experiment with ethnical and metal influences, I was myself in a metal band for 11 years so I guess it was just a question of time before the metal genre makes his entrance in Legio Symphonica.

Seems like Tzeentch blessed Magna Tizca by puting an error in the first upload, hence why the video was offline a few minutes after its release. Sorry for that and enjoy the video !
Wow, I never imagined that it would be possible to encompass the history of Tizca in a such a work. It is really great. And amazing hiw you took the howling wolfes in the last part. (Maybe you'll make the next work about the near destruction of the fang by the hand of those tizcans?) Thank you for your work.

@@niddhoggloki4384 When the time comes and I have enough musical materials and different themes for each legions, I'll definitely compose stuff on big events of 30K (Istvaan, Ullanor, Terra, etc...) and 40K like the revenge of Magnus ^^. @@LegioSymphonica thousand sons are actually a mix between Egyptian and many other Mesopotamian cultures like Persia, considering many thousand sons characters have Persian/Babylonian names like Ahzek Ahriman, in fact a lot of the thousand sons imagery look more Babylonian rather than Egyptian.
@@joshuaneoangelobersales1807 in deed it makes sense, I have never thought about it that way. In my mind the Word Bearers would be more persian / babylonian, but you do have a point my good sir.
I loved the details of Magnus and the emperor meeting. the closing in of the wolves and custodes/sos towards the final square.....gorgeous

I am new to WH40K, but didn't the big E only sent forth the Wolves and SOS to Prospero? and no Custodes were present during that fight?
@@chenshi3820 Nope, in fact Constantin Valdor himself was sent aswell, the commander of the Custodian Guard and they did not just stand by but actively fought.

GW needs to use this as official music that’s how great it is.
I might surprise you, but this has already happened. Not with this particular track, but with the composer.

You absolutely could've released this track alongside a static background with some simple effects and it would be enough. Instead you went the extra mile(s) and put together a storyline through visual storytelling, gorgeous illustrations (I'm definitely checking out the artist!) and animations, as well as that absolute banger of a track. Good job man.
Imo it is still not enough, I would love to put more stuff in these animation, but they take a lot of time and money to do. I hope in the future that I will have more means to do something closest to my vision. Anyway thank you brother and can't wait to get to work on your next animation ;)
5:35 In front of the statue Magnus dueling Leman Russ, there are soo many details in the background I love it, also amazing track as always(I hope one day you will make some Eldar music, I would love to hear your version of them) PS I hate how few views you are getting

Amazing music. It really gives scope to the universe. You can imagine the exotic magical nature of tizca but the granduer and different culture it had aswell. The might and danger it possessed aswell.
Equal amounts of might and beauty held in a single planet that was doomed for simply being different....
This planet rose from the ashes into glory, and from glory into ashes it fell again, alongside its defenders.
Magnus, the son that could do nothing right, did nothing wrong.
Love the detail between 3:40 and 4:18 that the ships were slowly disappearing from above the city as Magnus sent them away
Janus stood over the beaten crimson king. Weakened. As janus stood,the crimson king...cried. tears of blood stained him
"So....we will be whole"
"...we will,yes."
"...were still bound to tzeench idiot..."
"The crimson king,yes. But not magnus."
As roboute,the lion and clonegrim go to help,janus stops them.
"No. I must do it."
As janus grabbed the blade of magnus,the blade transformed. No longer a unholy blade of dark power,it was pure. The sword of anu-ra reborn.
"While thy branches mix with mine...our roots... together join."
Upon the sands of prospero....magnus stood in place of janus and the crimson king. Same red skin,but paler,more pure,hair golden as the dawn,and with both eyes...open. the other 3 were shocked. But clonegrim broke the silence
"So brother. How does it feel to be whole again?"
Magnuses eyes started to water but nodded
"I feel much better then ok,brother. I feel...whole....free..."
The lion nodded
"As much as i hate you on principle.....it is good you are on our side once again,magnus."
Magnus nodded
"I agree. And i think 1st thing we must do.....is relieve father of his duty. And his madness."

Careful how you say that name
This is amazing, I can see a camera panning around a fully armoured Ahriman and Magnus walking over a sand dune on Tizca, the camera pans behind them to show they are heading towards a giant pyramidal library; our introduction to the XIVth . Reminds me of the soundtrack to stronghold crusader (which is also fantastic) but more! Love the added guitars at 4.30! Man you are fucking talented

@@LegioSymphonica Its not anywhere as good, but its thematically similar. A lot of people grew up playing stronghold crusader so the music is very much ingrained in our brains, much like the voice acting. Ive been playing it recently too. It might be worth a listen as many consider it to be iconic, but it's not as good as others I've mentioned before. The game is a castle builder and war rts that mixes lots of middle Eastern flavoured chill tracks for the calmer times with the more intense battle music

This just oozes passion and I love it. It's like I'm being told a story and it didn't need a single word to pull it off. I was mostly indifferent to the Thousand Sons and Prospero before, but this dragged me along with them, through their times of development, of glorious civilization, deadly confrontation and their tragic defeat. Not just narratively, mind you, but emotionally as well. This is art.

To be frank I have never really thought about an Inquisition theme. I would love to score the Eisenhorn series though ;)
The defining moment and detail for me is after the duel and as the light envelopes the screen you can hear what sounds like a single howl of anguish. As if Russ is mourning his brother and crying out his grief, adds sympathy to what can be said to be the villains of the song. The space wolves don't like their job but they do it anyway.

That's an interesting view of the track! Yeah I agree with you, I hated Russ for a long time after reading A Thousand Sons until I've read Wolf King then I was a bit sad for Russ, understanding that there was a bit of guilt and sadness in what he has done, but still he did it without hesitation because he is the incarnation of loyalty to the Emperor.
@@LegioSymphonica Yeah, while I am a loyalist lover I do sympathise with Magnus he definitely does do some wrong but not enough in my opinion to deserve the burning to happen. Russ was only at fault for carrying out his orders, doesn't mean he loves those orders but he believes in the Emperor so will do anything for him. Both are tragic characters but for different reasons that hinge on that one moment. Somehow your song has made me feel for both Magnus and Russ. Thank you for the feels. You got yourself a new sub, you deserve more in my opinion.

As a fan who recently discovered their love of 40k and the story of Magnus the Red. I have to say this is a phenomenal soundtrack and video!

Edit: 3 days after hearing this, I’ve listened to it about 10 times. Certain parts totally give me the chills- like seeing the shadow of the battle barge crossing the pyramid, when the drop pods start, well, dropping, seeing the smoke and ruins of the once-beautiful city, the orbital strikes- it’s just so emotional and evocative, with the music completely in sync with the visuals. I can’t say enough good things about this video.

I'm guessing at 4:51 in the left is the Pyrae Pyramid temple, and the explosion was when Khalophis attempted to hold back the aetheric explosion while connected to the Canis Vertex titan after it was hit by the massive warp explosion from Phael Toron's body at the far side of the Corvidae Temple when he had unleashed and lost complete control of his powers to the warp?
That was really well done and I enjoyed it a lot. Getting back into w40k after a long hiatus. I wish we'd had such inspiring content back in the day! Really. Enjoyed that a lot.
i know right? I was into 40K back when it first came out in the 80s-90's. Back then, the lore wasn't nearly as fleshed out as it was now. Though I have no means to actually play, I'm finding all the wonderful fiction that has come out for the setting. I'll always love the grim dark...and the sinister beauty that lies beneath if one dares to look for it. Yet, every once in a while, even this Immortal Black Rose must step into the light. With the release of the age of darkness box set for horus heresy coming out this month i couldn't decide what traitor legion i wanted to play, ive always liked the thousand sons and i also liked the alpha legion. But then i saw this, and now im committed to starting a 30k thousand sons army

Holy shit this is like something else on another level. Truly amazing and a great attention to detail. Loved the point there where The Emperor in the video meets His son.
Those last few minutes were beautiful. I have to compliment you on that "wailing" sound. I don't know if it was a woman singing, the sound of an instrument, or a wolf's howl, but it was amazing.

Not all who once counted themselves amongst the number of The Thousand Sons wear the crimson annymore. I am a anomaly, a relic of a forgotten time. Released from a malfunctioning stasis warhead that served as my tomb just as your Primarch was once enshrined in the Fortress of Hera. I have lived trough the sting of betrayal, the fire of unjust rebellion and have felt the dispair of a fathers fall. I have endured and so much more. But my strength remains and my mind stands unclouded. Know this brother Tigurius, I shall never don the black of shame or the blue and gold of treachery. In my heart, the red cyclops will allways be my father, but I will draw wisdom from his failures and persue that which I was raised and made for, becouse my loyalty belongs to the Emperor of Mankind, beloved by all. Now I must leave you, for I am no Astartes as you or your brethren are, I am a Legionary. I was made to bring enlightenment to the dark, not to defend the shining towers where this wisdom has allready been brought. Look for my legions banner on battlefields in the future, and know that the last of The Thousand Sons walked there, in honour of those who never fell, for Tizca, for the Emperor of Man, For my home, my world, for Prospero!

I am just literally discovering this universe and its fucking awesome, I want to know a lot more from 40K, where should do I begin?
You have some very good RUclips channel about the W40K universe out there like Luetin, OneMindSyndicate, etc ... I'm sure you can find your hapiness within them ^^ and if you want more you can read the books from the Black Library, I'd advise you to begin with series like the Gaunt Ghosts, Eisenhorn or the five first books of the Horus Heresy ;)

The next ambient composition will be on Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2, but other than that I have no plan on doing something on Imperial Navy in a near future, but that could be a great idea !

Once again brilliant music and I love the visual animation too. As a n advocate of the Night Lords, I do however have a Tzeentchian Sorcerer leading my warband and this music feels entirely appropriate to the Thousand Sons. Well done!
