Type 1 the persons body doesn't produce any incoline. Type 2 the persons body produces insulin even just a tiny bit. I'm type 2 but my body only produces a tiny amount of incoline. My endo has stated that they are learning more and more about diabetes. I'm insulin dependent on an insulin pump for going on 5 years now. I was so very sick prior to being diagnosed and going on insulin and learning how to proper care of myself. I feel for the kids who have type 1 and those with type 2. I wish so bad that changing my diet and doing more exercise would help. Yeah type 1 being due to the body attacking its self causing that to happen. Prior to going on insulin and then the pump I was having migraines that couldn't be helped. I was feeling sick and the doctors for a long time couldn't figure out what was happening. Then finally a doctor tested my blood sugar and found out that my A1C was above a 10 so my BG was always 15 or higher. Since being on the pump I've had no higher then 8.8. I'm so grateful that unlike some people your not putting down type 2s and your giving more accurate facts then some. Some just say that those of us who are type 2 just do it to ourselves and that isn't true.

Thank you for sharing your story! I am definitely still very new at this and learning every day. And I do agree that false information on both Type 1 and 2 is very rampant, to the point of detrimental to those of you living with it as people think it's not a big deal or funny to mock. I myself knew very little before my daughter was diagnosed. Hopefully we can continue to share with people and help them understand more.

@@Nguyening_Smiles for sure its awesome to see you sharing with everyone your experience. I'm so happy that there is so much better stuff for both type 1 and type 2 these days. The dexcom and insulin pumps for instance give us such peace. For you its you being able to see your daughters blood sugar without having to prick her finger to see it. For me its my mom being able to use the share app and know if I'm ok or if my not responding to the phone or that is due to a high or low blood sugar issue. Stay strong and keep smiling
