    Benning would've gave up like a 1st.

I'm a flames fan at heart so it sucks he's gone but as a low key canucks fan as well ( I just love hockey) I look forward to seeing how he does there.

You might be the only Canucks and flames fan in the world 😂 but hey I respect it

As long as he doesn’t think he’s gonna wear #16. I’ve had my eyes on this big russian since he asked for a trade. I sincerely had no idea how they were gonna manage the deal.. allvin blew me out of the water with that one for sure.

Flames fan here, I think it works out for both teams, you get a solid blue liner, we get as you mentioned cap room. Flames are playing well lately, looking forward to tomorrows game.

At first glance I thought he was underpaid for, but because Calgary doesn't have retain any salary it actually works well for Calgary too.

Gonna miss Z-Dog but he wanted out. All the best to him.

He seems like a great guy, but he just didn’t make sense on this roster especially at his cap hit. He wasn’t skilled or quick enough to consistently warrant a top 6 role and his skill set is wasted in a bottom 6 role. I think he’ll thrive in Chicago though!

Oilers management better learn from Canucks and few others on how to build a team.

Man this would be such a crazy statement to say anytime before this season lmao

@@CunuckHockey I was sure signing Ekholm last season was the missing piece on a road for cup, so this current state of both Alberta team is pure horror.

I thought that was a great move too, and it looked like it worked right away with how well they played down the stretch with him. That's why I'm still expecting the Oilers to make a run and make the playoffs tbh

Omg this GM is awfull. Toffoli trade should have given a 2rd pick with serangovic. Now this. A steal by canucks.

Yeah it's crazy to think about that Toffoli and Zadorov only resulted in Sharangovich, 2 3rds and a 5th coming back. Feels like there should have been at least a 2nd rounder there somewhere at the very least!
