We've sailed on the Norwegian Joy and we're headed back in three weeks for our third visit. We always book the Haven because it's truly special. The pool is peaceful, the hot tub is divine, and the Horizon Lounge is a gem with snacks galore. It's the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and enjoy the friendly staff. Even the rooms are luxurious. Life's too short to skimp on experiences, so splurge a little and savor every moment. The Butler pampers us with treats, making our vacation truly unforgettable. We adore the Haven and can't wait for our next adventure in three weeks!

We sailed to Bermuda on the Joy on June 23. Weather was not great! Ship was really crowded esp with everyone crammed inside. Final days was sunny and the pool was 3 people deep - awful!

Can ask if you remember how you viewed the safety video? I was told that it wasn't emailed to you anymore (like in 2022) but was a part of the online check-in process. Just wondering if we all had to watch it then, or if could be saved to view later.

We sailed on the Joy June 2-9, 2024, NYC-Bermuda. We liked the Joy, but I think the way to describe the Joy is 'disjointed.' Our preferred ship is the Escape. On the Joy, the food and service staff was really great, and was better than our Feb cruise on the Escape. Seeing as the ship was repurposed from the Asian market, the locations of things was a little strange. The spa being in the back and no spa pool was disappointing, but we loved the spa overall and cold plunge made up for the lack of a pool. The specialty restaurants on the Joy were the absolute best. Went to Cagney's, Le Bistro and La Cucina. Great service staff and the steaks were done perfectly. We did try the BBQ restaurant, which was okay, but nothing to really write home about. Favorite place was The District Brewery, lots of great microbrews. I would definitely sail on the Joy again.
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. We’ve never been on the escape as the Joy was the first time we ever tried a Norwegian cruise. Although it was a nice cruise our favorite cruise line is still Royal Caribbean but our favorite for best food and buffet is Celebrity cruise line. There are positives and negatives on every cruise line but we are still happy to be on any cruise. 🛳️😊
@@tjfun71 The Joy was our 7th NCL cruise, and we just earned Platinum loyalty status with them. We already have another one booked for Feb 2025 on the Escape. We've never been on another cruise line, but I would be willing to try Virgin Voyages, RC or Celebrity. My wife is a creature of habit so getting her to try another cruise line will be a challenge.
@@pedanticmrpender yes I hear you. We started out with carnival and they are ok but I wouldn’t say they are highly recommended at all. They are called the fun ship but just too much drama when we sail on carnival. We still cruise on carnival when a good deal. We’ve been on princess and loved princess as well but geared more for the older crowd. We’ve been on celebrity cruise line and loved them but the sail away party was a bit lame and the cruise director was not funny nor did he make things exciting. We’ve been on Disney and although it was nice and food was great I didn’t care for Disney cruise my husband loved it. I suppose if I had little ones still I’d enjoy it more but our kids are all adults now. We did Norwegian For the first time and we will definitely cruise with them again but on a different ship. I highly recommend Royal Caribbean (wonder of the seas) was an absolute beautiful ship, a lot to do, great restaurants, wonderful shows. Just an all around amazing ship. I can’t say that enough. Guaranteed great time! Try that one for a Halloween experience it’s so much fun. They have costume contests and parades and shows that you’ll love. We are in our 50’s and absolutely enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Happy Cruising and thank you for sharing. We love to hear other’s stories and opinions. Thank you. 😊

@@tjfun71 That's great that you had the upgraded drink package! My comment was more for those that have the Free at Sea drink package - no Starbucks included. We sailed on the Joy in 2022 and will be on her again later this summer!

@@teresamotz Vincent is a great cruise director as well. Very funny. We love any cruise but definitely have our favorites. Norwegian was one of them. We also love Royal Caribbean. ♥️♥️🛳️🛳️
