Hi Ana, your thoughtful and calm presentations are so helpful, especially now in a world that has gone mad. The one thing that helps me has been to try starting each day without any long term thoughts, goals, or plans. I say to myself "today will probably be a good day and that's all I want to think about". I've always been a long term planner, and giving that up is really hard, but when I stick to just one day at a time I do feel a bit calmer. Another new morning ritual is to put out bird seed in my back yard. I've attracted a bunch of birds, finches, sparrows, and blue jays mostly. I watch their antics from my bedroom window and get a lot of reassurance from them that, yes, today will probably be okay.

I have a church job as musician and today the sermon will be collaborative with parishioners invited to share a word for 2024. Mine is “wisdom”. It’s a word that has kind of lost meaning for me over the years even though I think about it and hear it often. I’m reclaiming the meaning and significance for 2024. I feel nudged towards more of a morning, or at least daily routine for self-care, and I have started unsubscribing on RUclips as well (Inspired by your previous video). Thank you Ana for another year of inspiration. I am starting new in 2024 after the end of a 12 year relationship. I have alot on my mind at the age of 64. I am planning to travel as much as possible. There is so much of North America I have not seen. My first trip will be to Prince Edward Island, which is where Anne of Green Gables is set. My favorite book of all time. Much love to you.❤

I unsubscribed from several social media platforms last summer. I found myself comparing myself too often when I never used to do that. I removed all social media and the search engine from my phone home screen. I’m less likely to scroll if I don’t have the instant access. Out of sight, out of mind. I had to stop watching the news last year because I want to maintain my optimism and focus on the good things in my life. I appreciate you mentioning going to the subscription page and not the home page. I too will be applying that so I’m not distracted by all the other content that I don’t relate to but end up watching. I truly appreciate what you bring to your channel. Ana, you are such a treasure. When I think about it, I find I have more routines than I might have thought. Your discussion of the topic may encourage me to assess exactly how each of those routines fit into my life and if I want to continue them.
Ana, I salute you in your determination to move more toward optimism. I tend to be an optimistic person, and have been most of my life, and I find that the less emphasis I put on the craziness of the outside world today (while still being aware of the overall picture), the easier it is to continue to be optimistic. All the chaos that is going on in our world right now, is symptomatic of a long held, yet outmoded way of life that we have been trained to accept. More and more of us are realizing that we no longer wish to assume the premise that armed conflict is an acceptable way to resolve differences. As a species, we are making room for my love, more beauty, more compassion, more understanding, less judgment, and so much more. Optimism is contagious because it is so appealing, and makes a lot more sense than allowing ourselves to be pulled into fear (mostly manufactured and promoted by those who have a specific agenda).
Your decision to unsubscribe from channels, and the reasons you shared, make a lot of sense. Some time ago I unsubscribed to a number of channels, but without the clarity you brought to the process. Time for me to revisit that task. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and energy. All the best to you and Brian as you continue to find positive ways to shape the life you desire.

Removing accounts that we subscribe to and never watch again is so important to digitally detox and keep our email box or youtube accounts clean - and it requires to do it over and over again (every 6 months or every year)! I have done today exactly two of the things you mentioned.
I decided to stop watching the news on twitter because of all the negative news in the world, situations which as an individual I can do nothing and it was only impacting negatively on my daily life thinking all the time how I wish I could sort the world.
Secondly, I too unsubscribed from RUclips channels, some I didn't even know I had click on. It is a good idea thank you of just going to the subscription page 😊.
Stay positive, enjoy the beauty around you and be free like a child

I will be making and adding new routines without my life partner despite wanting to be a turtle and do nothing. It is one thing to plan and another to actually execute the routines.

Dear Ana, I love how you plan to cut down on your RUclips time. RUclips is my nemesis, I easily get lost on it. Not looking at the feed but just at subscriptions is a great suggestion! And I will unsubscribe like you, I am subscribed to 388 channels.
Morning and evening routines are my life saviors. I established them over more than a year, slowly adding one after the other. The inspiration had come from the book "Atomic Habits". It says that a new habit needs at least 30 days to be established and it needs to be linked to an established habit, for example, brushing our teeth. It should always be a step that feels very easy to do, otherwise it needs to be devided into smaller steps.
So, after showering, I slowly added one more face cream against my rosacea. It works really well, my face isn't as red any longer. Then I added nail oil because my nail beds are so dry. Right now, I have a lovely morning routine that sets me off to a relaxed morning. Maybe even more important is my evening routine. My evening routine lets me feel like a queen in the morning. Apart from cleaning up, I put out the clothing for the next day. It is such a luxurious feeling in the morning to have all the clothing ready to go, like I have my own butler. I also prepare breakfast as much as possible. I put new water in the water heater, my thermos next to it and the tea bag already in there. During winter, I usually eat porridge with deep frozen berries for breakfast. I add all ingredients into a pot and put it in the fridge. In the morning, the berries are thawed and the porridge is ready in minutes and I just have to put the water heater on. The prepared clothing and breakfast are the most uplifting habits for me.
With all the uncertainties in life, I follow the advice of a financial coach: "Control the controllables and don't worry about the rest - you can't do anything about them anyway." My experience has shown me that if I follow my intuition, the uncontrollables take care of themselves without me getting into harms way. I'm very, very grateful for that.

Concerning a morning routine I feel about it just as you do...if I don't do it right away girst thing in the morning I will forget about it or have too much other things that are " more important". In 2024 I wish to think more optimistically too, and settle into a career. I think I am innately positive, yet the events of the world have recently brought much fear into my life. I also wish to stop treating myself harshly emotionally. I already have a solid daily practice of yoga, walking, and meditation, and I also like to do facial gun she in the evenings. This year is my year to get involved with helping our planet to be more healthy. There are so many pressing environmental issues that can no longer be ignored!
I will be watching very carefully what I buy, and not supporting industries which harm the environment, such as the meat industry.
I have been vegetarian for many years now, but 2024 is my year to go vegan!
Ana, there is another Russia RUclipsr, Victoria Terekhina, who has been on the move around Georgia. She may also be in Tbilisi. I am not sure. I am impressed with your and her strength during these moves.
