Largely unscathed as a collective. The Wayans are remarkable as a family and as individuals and Marlon is my personal favorite ❤ A true comedic dynasty.

Marlon is probably one of the best interviews, he brings a heartwarming, hilarious, light energy to the room. Big up to him, gonna try to check him at Foxwoods, since I've never had the chance to see him live.
Funny that I don’t really picture Shawn without Marlon, but I can picture Marlon without Shawn. Marlon is the really the most recognized Wayan brother right now. I love the love between the brothers and I am glad they let their baby brother shine on his own.
You have to have a lot of respect for Marlon Wayans for having the balls to try and be greater than he already is. He reached comedic legend status decades ago yet is still working like he's not already legendary.
I love the serious and story telling version of Marlon, a couple years ago he couldn’t get through an interview without being obnoxious, so glad he dialed it back and this interview was amazing to watch

12:56 I appreciate everything Marlon said here because I’ve been wanting to be a writer and write movies since I was a teen, and I have an older brother who writes professionally right now but mostly in the journalism space. Growing up, every time I would tell him about a story idea that I had, he would always tell me that I couldn’t do it or that it’s already been done. One time, I told him about an idea I had for an action movie and he straight tore into me about it because rap music played a big role in it and I felt passionate about the idea. It was basically something similar to that movie Baby Driver and when that movie dropped, he wouldn’t stop talking about how much he loved it and I resented him for it. So I started thinking he was either jealous or just hated my creativity and I got bitter about it for a very long time. Hearing Marlon go through the same thing and how he handled it inspires me now to stick to my dreams.
I went to see Marlon Wayans show and he had me crying of laughter the entire show. I took my 19 year old son and he loved it as well. He is one of the best comedians!
Love Marlon! In Living Color kept me and my cousin from arguing as kids. Mom made us learn the same skits and we put on a show for the family. Lol. The Wayans Family was the in-house summer camp that we needed to focus and not box each other every day.
Marlon has always been my favorite- I remember going to see “Senseless” in the movie theater and ever since then, I loved him! I was 16 years old then and now I’m 42 and still feel the same! HE IS LEGENDARY!
@Ms. Margarita Nuńez 😂 I completely overstand! I'm creeping up on 35 this month and me and stairs just don't feel the same way about each other like we used to...
I was surprised at Marlon's special. I did not realize that he was that brilliant and that funny. You said you waited 20 years; well, you were well worth the wait! Keep on Keeping On!!!
I love the Wayans family and I have supported all of them throughout the years they are just dynamic..Sister, brothers, cousins. Marlon is perfect with imitating them. I would love a cartoon about their time growing up. Marlon could do all the voices. he does Keenan's so well.
We have never seen a more talented family. Never! They don't get enough credit. Long ago I felt Damon's stand-up was among the funniest ever and wish he did more. Also, the skits their sister did on In Livin Color showed her genius.
@@vincentbrown1872 if "fame" Is your judgment stick then the Jacksons are the leaders of this pack. They are literally doing stadiums WITHOUT Michael and Janet can headline til this day. In that family EVERYONE is musically inclined from writing, singing, playing an instrument and PERFORMING. The Wayans ONLY write and perform and less famous worldwide. And The Wayans have never dominated a decade of entertainment. That's my point. Even Full Force dominated the 90s writing and producing for NSync, Britney Spears, New Kids On the Block and Backstreet Boys
@@hmosesmamulu6491 " Fame " was not my judgement stick! Talent was. A comparison based on talent would show other than Michael ( who was turned into one of the greatest in the Wolrd because of Qunicy Jones production of first " Off The Wall ", and then " Thriller ") No Q productions and Micheal would be among a long list of talented singers and dancers going back to Jackie Wilson. ( see part 2 )
Part 2 talent comparison Jacksons vs Wayans. Aside from Michael the rest of the family have very little talent! Although Janet is celebrated for prodigious record sales she too like Michael owes her success to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis productions. If one listens to her hits closely you will find she whispers and does not have a strong voice . As for the Wayans I mentioned they are creators of comedy like We Have Never Seen!
Marlon IS THAT GUY!! He & his family are superior right where they are, everything they do is brilliant ✨ I wish them well and much more success, they are timeless & will be talked about for all lifetime
The Wayne’s family is the most underrated under appreciated uncelebrated famous family of color if I’ve ever seen one. We need to give them their flowers soon!
Marlon Wayans is one of those comedians that continues to get better with age. He went from immature type of comedy to mature type of comedy. There are levels to this. He doesn't have to roast someone's wife consistently and he doesn't have to disrespect the Black Community in the process of trying to make people laugh.
I love that he shared the Wayans take care of family first and how he wants to take care of his older brothers. He learned so much from them. Beautiful family.
I really respect how Marlon is consistently pushing to do bigger and better things, even though he's already a legend. I cant wait till he gets his first Oscar! He's an amazing actor and I think its just a matter of time till he gets his just dues. I didn't know Marlon knew Tony Baker, would love to see them do something together!
Marlon’s physical comedy is unmatched. He goes ALL the way and truly commits. Only other comedian that comes to mind is Martin in his prime but Marlon is 50 years old and hasn’t missed a beat physically
Marlon is funny even before he starts talking. You know by his deposition, something funny is about to be said. We love you Marlon, you don’t have to be your brothers, you a class act. I get saddened each time I heard about the grief you received from your brother. You all have your own style. We only need one Marlon Wayne
I had the opportunity to see Marion, at Levity live comedy club, in NY, on a Friday night, he was so funny, I went back with my girlfriends the next night and laughed so much, he's so underrated when it comes to his brothers. I have to be honest he's now my favorite. However I love them all.
I watched this standup last night (last one was ok) woke the whole house up laughing!! Even my dogs looked at me like a nut! That shit was HIGHLARIOUS!! 🤣🤣👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It makes sense that he considers Richard Pryor’s Live the greatest special of all times (I agree). His joke about the slap coming up and through different cities immediately felt like an ode to Pryor’s joke about his boxing opponent’s punch. The special was very well done. I remember seeing Marlon at the Chicago Improv circa 2012 and I personally see a lot of growth. Well done Marlon! And them 50y/o knees are still giving Meg the Stallion 😂
His shawn and damon and Keenan impression is spot on... what a legendary comedian..... more than a hundred years of comedy... 30 50 50 30 add that shit up.... that's amazing 👏
Watching this was so inspiring as a rising artist. I love what he said about growth and how much greater you'll be in 5, 10 years. If you're reading this: keep going at your art

Just listening to Marlon in this interview let’s me know now why I can watch him on repeat ❤❤❤
I literally love the Wayans! I smiled every time Marlon would do impressions of his brothers, you can tell they have a true special bond.
Marlon is hilarious. 😂 I grew up watching this man. He definitely deserves his flowers. 💐
Yessssssss
Yes❤ he does 👏👏🔥
Yeah he a legend lol always inspiring
I went to see Marlon Wayans show and he had me crying of laughter the entire show. I took my 19 year old son and he loved it as well. He is one of the best comedians!
You guys I’m so obsessed with this guy. He’s soooo intelligent.
Not to get off topic but you do NOT look 42! Lol
@@harrisonjones3931 Thank you so much! ☺️ My body does tell me otherwise hahaha!
@@Myiseel shoot your shot
@Ms. Margarita Nuńez 😂 I completely overstand! I'm creeping up on 35 this month and me and stairs just don't feel the same way about each other like we used to...
I didn't watch it in theaters. I did, though, rent the VHS from Blockbuster in that orange case 😄.
*Marlon is a humble guy who doesn’t realize how much he means to the culture.*
Real talk, he has each of their inflections and language 😅
We have never seen a more talented family. Never! They don't get enough credit. Long ago I felt Damon's stand-up was among the funniest ever and wish he did more. Also, the skits their sister did on In Livin Color showed her genius.
You must NEVER heard of Full Force.
@@hmosesmamulu6491 what's your point full force is not famous and 99.99% o people on the planet never heard of them ???
He & his family are superior right where they are, everything they do is brilliant ✨
I wish them well and much more success, they are timeless & will be talked about for all lifetime
This interview was amazing! Marlon was very inspiring and a reminder to follow your dreams, work on your craft, and continue learning and growing.
The Wayne’s family is the most underrated under appreciated uncelebrated famous family of color if I’ve ever seen one. We need to give them their flowers soon!
Love Marlon 😂 he’s always been genuinely him and I’m excited for this 🙏🏽
13:20 My aunt wants to go to Greece for her 60th (May)😄😄♥️♥️♥️♥️
Marlon's impersonation of Keenan is wild 😂😂😂😂
Marlon Wayans is one of those comedians that continues to get better with age. He went from immature type of comedy to mature type of comedy. There are levels to this. He doesn't have to roast someone's wife consistently and he doesn't have to disrespect the Black Community in the process of trying to make people laugh.
Very great points! He jokes with and/or about the people in the room and himself.
@@This-Aint-No-Disco 😢😢
@@geraldcarter4638 , 🤔🤔
Are u kidding he was way funnier back in the day and everythong he talks about goes back to being black and race
Chris Rock is wayyy funnier and he should of roasted someone's wife and disrespect the black community if it's funny
I’d love to see a documentary about this family! They have spanned generations and the whole family is talented.
I love this man. Marlon is a gem. Him & Damon will forever be my favorite Wayans 💗
I love that he shared the Wayans take care of family first and how he wants to take care of his older brothers. He learned so much from them. Beautiful family.
This was awesome. Marlon’s growth into his next season each time continues to impress me more and more. Love him!!!
Love seeing Marlon come into his own and still have fun with the art of comedy .. bruised eggplant had me dyin
Marlon's set on his Mom is brilliantly beautiful. He had me so engrossed in his set that I felt every emotion.
Marlon did a GREAT job with the special. This is the best I've seen from him and very intelligent, respectful but funny approach for all involved.
I love Marlon.....he's so humble and sincere and fkn funny 😁. The Wayans are the most talented family in the world!
I watched this standup last night (last one was ok) woke the whole house up laughing!! Even my dogs looked at me like a nut! That shit was HIGHLARIOUS!! 🤣🤣👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Marlon is ON POINT about every topic AND is an AMAZING dramatic actor
It makes sense that he considers Richard Pryor’s Live the greatest special of all times (I agree). His joke about the slap coming up and through different cities immediately felt like an ode to Pryor’s joke about his boxing opponent’s punch. The special was very well done. I remember seeing Marlon at the Chicago Improv circa 2012 and I personally see a lot of growth. Well done Marlon! And them 50y/o knees are still giving Meg the Stallion 😂
Damn man. Marlon’s a dope Being. Gave me goosebumps. “Don’t let them see you sweat”
So much respect for Marlon and his family’s living Legacy.
The wayans bros show was one of my favorites as a kid . So funny 😂 the wayans don’t get enough credit . This family is Hollywood legacy
I had the privilege to meet Marlon and Tony Rock. I support their work because they are down to earth comedians when the cameras are not on.
👏 I admire Marlon continually challenging himself as he builds on his artistic craft through his own vision. He definitely earns his accolades. 👏
I love when Marlon pulls up, I know I’m finna be laughing my damn ass off 😂
