Chris Wolstenholme (bassist) famously said he can’t stand playing this because it’s bloody hard work. It’s known as _The Finger Crippler_ for good reason. 🖤
As others have said, Muse are a band you need to react to live. Try the Rome concert - it's on RUclips.
Muse formed when they were all teenagers (14-15) and none of them have ever had professional lessons for what they play. Hell, the bassest joined the band on the condition that he would learn how to play bass (he was a drummer prior to that). When Matt (the guitarist) joined, the drummer had to show him the chords to the songs they were playing because Matt only knew how to play rap and pop (Michael Jackson, etc.).
Uprising... Knights of Cydonia... Plug in Baby... Newborn... Starlight are all great tracks. But checking out their live performances are a must view!
The list of great Muse tracks is ridiculous. Map of the Problematique is one of the most compelling songs I've ever heard, there's so much going on in there and the wording is perfect. I also adore The Handler, man I could talk about Muse for hours.
Knights of Cydonia live at Wembley, will rip your face off, no problem!
The best rock band of the 21st Century. So many great albums and great songs. Check out Knights of Cydonia.
That bass line has been voted in the to 20 rock bass lines of all time. So yeah
Definetly react to more muse! Matt bellamy is very talented in his singing, playing guitar and piano. I would recommend the song "citizen's erased anniversary remix" or "space demenita anniversary remix", im sure you guys will enjoy those songs
I love Hysteria but vocally it's very laid back Matt really doesn't show off his talent here and it's distorted too. My first recommendation would be stuff like New Born, Plug In Baby , Knights of Cydonia , Starlight etc
Yes, more Muse... "Time Is Running Out", "Knights of Cydonia", "Supermassive Black Hole", "Starlight" and "Uprising".
“I don’t know what he’s running from, but he’s running out of time” literally summed up the entire Absolution in one sentence, and he hasn’t even heard an entire song from the album yet.
I’ve seen them live twice and they are the best shows I’ve ever seen
Same here! Nothing comes close to these guys live!
@@lanascribe correct!
Muse are legends of the game
The cover art is a photo. No photoshop, just really good camera work with cardboard cutouts and a chalk flat
You can't go wrong with Muse. You must do live performances of them 🔥. Assassin, darkshines, butterflies and hurricanes and the list goes on... Hoping to see more muse reactions 🤘🏻
whoa, you mentioned 2 of their 'hidden' gems 😳
I mean you can go wrong with them but not easily
The best live band I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. You need the watch them do it live for a better understanding what they are about.
My suggestions (MUSE): 'New Born', 'Uprising', 'Citizen Erased', 'Time Is Runnin' Out', 'Unnatural Selection', 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable', 'The Globalist', 'Space Dementia'
Don’t forget Stockholm syndrome
Wow! Love this band. Why have I not heard them before? Their energy is fire. If they have other songs like this, I'm in. Love your reactions. Canada here, appreciating your reaction to Roller/ April Wine.
Check out butterflied and hurricanes! such a good song by them, they are soooo good!!
If you want more like this, supermassive black hole is a must, as well as newborn, and ofc there are more than that
Ohh they have so many great songs, if you liked this bass line i recommend you Futurism.
that bass tone is so hype. I would bet a lot of money that part was inspired by Bjork's Army of Me.
Chris Wolstenholme (bassist) famously said he can’t stand playing this because it’s bloody hard work - it’s known as The Finger Crippler for good reason. 😖
More Muse belters: Supermassive Black Hole, Stockholm Syndrome, Plug In Baby, Starlight, Knights Of Cydonia.
Been listening to this track since it's release - so almost 20 years - and that bassline always gets me rocking!! LOVE this track! Seeing this song live is another experience altogether!
Muse is a deep well to dive into! Future tracks: Knights Of Cydonia, Citizen Erased, Map Of The Problematique, Uprising, Starlight, Plug In Baby, Supermassive Black Hole, Time Is Running Out, The Handler, Undisclosed Desires, Resistance, Algorithm, Won't Back Down (off their newest album), Bliss, Supremacy...I could go on...
Seen them live 3 times - and they continually rank as some of the best shows I've ever seen!
You said Future tracks and i read Futurism. How could you type Future and not think of Futurism
incredible live band
just saw them in vegas!!
These guys are great on vinyl, but when they play live that stage show blasts them into another dimension. For me, those live recordings are the best versions of Muse's songs. Got to watch Uprising, Supper Massive Black Hole, Starlight, Knights of Cydonia, sensation for the eyes, ears, and soul.
Muse are Brits.
Surely nothing else needs to be said.
Greetings from Kensington and Chelsea in London.
🇬🇧🤝🇺🇲
More Muse! Stockholm syndrome, Apocalypse please, New born, The handler, all amazing.
I can't deny this is a great list. Can I add Kill or Be Killed, Knights of Cydonia, Unnatural Selection, and MK Ultra to your list?
@@wewantthecup absolutely killer adds.
Best bass line EVER. :)
Always love seeing people react to Muse for the first time! My favourite band ever. Please react to more. Preferably live. For me anything from Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, Absolution and Will of the People are Muse at their very best, preferably live!
Yeah, their live shows are absolute FIRE
Great reaction guys . thanks 👍👍👍👍👍🏴
knights of Cydonia and plug in baby from Rome olympic stadium! More Muse live... It is one of those Live bands ya wanna see!
middle guy, you realize the Muse
love the synchronized head bopping... please do more songs from muse
Oh, man, give "Plug in Baby" from their first album a try, it's a face melter.
More Muse - Psycho or Uprising. But you really need to see a live performance, I think (if you can find one where the crowd singing along doesn't ruin it)
Muse es de las pocas bandas que te llenan estadios solos. Muy infravalorada en la escena del ROCK.
Please do 'We are Fucking Fucked' off of their new album. Unbelievable!
one of the best modern live bands. newborn live from Wembley is a must in my opinion but there aren't really any losers... I also think they have a lot of queen influences in their music
Uprising is a great song by these guys
Ah, a song about 50's women being diagnosed with hysteria from sexism. Such a classic. Edgy-classic joke established.
You guys should check out a live Muse song. They are are one of the few bands that delivers even better versions of their songs live. Fun stuff.
Muse Live at Reading. Awesome.
Like others, I'd suggest "Knights of Cydonia" for the next Muse song. That's the song that made me notice them.
For those that don't know, this is muses "master of puppets "!
Matt Bellamy, the lead guitar and vocalist, is an open Deftones fan. They even covered a few of their songs live back in the day. Im sure the appreciation bleeded to the other bandmates.
the Killers covered Muse at Lalapalooza 2017 Chicago.
How about some Incubus? Can’t recall if this band has been featured.
Great channel you three do an excellent job and I appreciate how y’all don’t slice and dice us to death with the pausing you are very polite is the correct word and respectful to the song with the pausing and ah, yeah love the reactions. If you could please check out a kiwi metal band young band this song rips: Pull Down the Sun - Turehu 🌞🇳🇿🙏
Try to listen to this cover band.. great cover of hysteria...missioned souls band from Cebu Philippines..
Please live Muse, this is will be next level for you👍
If you like this one Muse Uprising will break your bones .. like your channel guys
Great reaction guys :) love muse my fav band, hope yas get on the muse journey :) u so need to react to them live there amazing :)
You gotta react to their Wont Stand Down song plz
Anything from live at Rome Olympic Stadium, assassin or bliss live at the Mayan.
First thought... Sounds like they recorded in a tube or like static on the radio. 😄 It is good. It is catchy. But i agree i like the chorus better. I am curious about their other songs. The solos are good!!
More muse pleaaase 🔥🔥🤘
Cool react thanks
Suggestion assassin live AT the mayan or reapers live,
Killed or be killed , butterflies and hurricane, citizen erased, and you make me feel like is halloween 🙏🫶💣💣💣🔥🔥🔥🤘
MADNESS by Muse, do it.👍🏻
Sometimes Matt's vocals sound like his guitar... It's like he uses these two instruments of his the same way. This song is not so prominent, but still
Definitely check their live performances, you have to react to them live, best live band. Check Plug in Baby [Live] or MK Ultra Live
Not my favourite song but it's solid. The bass line slays
Can you guys check out Anatolian Rock? It's a whole another world!
Love from Türkiye 💜
Hey, Could you plz react to Mornin’, The Theme from Moonlighting and Just to be Loved by Al Jarreau? This guy is AMAZING
tHE wARNING COVERED THIS SONG IN FRONT OF SCHOOL AUDIENCE. RECOMMENDED... (THE WARNING) THREE SISTERS. ENTER SANDMAN COVER- YOU REACTED TO THE SONG
My Gods
Tool meets The Killers. Good call.
Add Radiohead to that
@@kellyzak2375 never understood the radiohead comparison
@@kellyzak2375 ugh! Stop with radiohead troll
@@ahabbellamy8098 Lol seriously? You're that triggered that someone mentioned the obvious similarity between two bands? Geez, better not cut you off in traffic.
What genre do you listen to ? So we can recommend specific songs by Muse for you
Great tune! If you like songs that build..you might like Anathema. Try the song "Release" on the album A Find Day to Exit.
Fantastic band, I hope they eventually put aside their differences, but I'm not holding my breath 😞
@@richardgoddard37 Me too! And, oops, I just noticed I meant to type Fine not Find for the album title. lol
Live version, like almost all their songs, is way better
The Demo from Hysteria is much better! More focus in the bassline!
An OK tune.
An 'A' for effort.
Dude you should do these reactions by yourself lol the guys beside you are adding nothing to the reaction
With muse it’s the vocals. Can’t do them. Like Nick with Bruce Dickinson, they just don’t vibe with me. It always sounds like the guy is crying… pleading…yearning... Same pocket as Thom York. Not to offend, but I really want to say,to him, “C’mon guy, man up.” Pretty much all their songs have this tone. Bleaych.
