I am an early 80’s boy and seen most of the ‘stadium bands’never thought I would ever see a band who could match the likes of early Simple Minds but when I saw Muse on The Second Law Tour at the Emirates in London I was totally blown away !! It took a good two weeks to come down from that high, they were that good 👍 they are on a different level, in these shit times thank god for Muse 😊
Matt Bellamy is such a perfectionist in his music, and very experimential.. I just love his strong voice. Seen Muse in concert twice, first time in Roskilde Denmark, a huge festival. Just LOVE Muse
@@mookiestewart3776 more than that, we SING the guitar intro! There's a number of different live performances you can actually hear the crowd singing with the guitar. Being at the front or in the middle of that crowd singing along as some of my favourite memories in life; just an incredible experience.
What do you say lads? She's heard one song, so I think she's ready for Microcuts. Lol As a side note, "Plug in baby" is also a reference to Matt's guitar. It's where he goes when he needs to escape his life.
I've been to many shows and concerts, nothing compares to seeing Muse live. Apart from them sounding better on stage than they do on the records, there is a whole atmosphere where there are families, elderly people, punk rock kids, pop kids, emo kids etc... it's an experience like no other. This is a band you must see live.
Man, I love Muse, they've been my favorite band for more than 10 years now. Apart from the incredible musicality of every member of the band, their themes and topics throughout their song and albums are very deep and socially and politically critical. I love that you can dissect their music and have to think about it, but also just enjoy listening to it because it sounds great. I also love watching other people discover Muse :D Great that you liked Plug In Baby!
Muse the best live band ever. For 20yrs they have filled stadiums, yes even in the U.S. They have a very diverse catalogue and do most of the genres better than those in the those genres. Muse can not be defined, they are Muse. The energy they create on stage is a combination of their chemistry; some of all the bands parts (the other two band members are also recognised as the top of their instruments) and a desire for their fans to experience the best show ever, which if you ask anyone who has been to a live show, fan or none fan, it is the best concert they have been to bar none. Matt Bellamy (Bell-a-may) again is arguably the best live singer ever, he is flawless with every performance. He is one of the best guitarists in music {Ranked in the top 25 of all time} as well as being a classically trained pianist (Butterflies And Hurricanes). He is a musical genius, his writing spans classical movements to funk. His father was in the sixties band Tornado's, and they had a U.S number one with Telstar. One of the very rare bands that sound better live. Review more, live only and you will become a fan of Muse. Added bonus watch your subs increase. Muse are massive and have been for a very long time. The best and most long lived band to come out of the U.K. Also they have always been very much awake and aware and understand who the elites are and the methods they employ to control us (See Resistance; Uprising, Citizen Erased, Stockholm Syndrome etc and their latest album "Will of The People" - song Verona {cor**a V* about the Scamdemic and the deliberate destruction it caused to the social fabric of humanity} from a few months ago). Look forward to see reviewing more as you go on the Muse journey. ;)
matt bellamys father was a guitar player in a 60s band called the" tornado,s" famous for a hit called "telstar "you can see where some influence came from
Saw them live at Milton Keynes month ago SSSSOOOO AMAZING ❤❤ that song everyone sings imagine 64000 people all at once singing it ! It was the best !!!!
Epic. The sound this 3-piece makes is amazing. There are backing keyboards live as well as the bass and drums with Matt Bellamy's soaring falsetto vocals are amazing.
Went to see muse last year for 4th time they a stadium band which is a dying breed need more of them if you get a chance beg borrow or steal a ticket never be disappointed best live shows I need go again
I've been to see Muse several times, including when working in both Switzerland and Sweden. Most recently in Milton Keynes UK in June. They bring it every time. Plug in Baby is a proper crowd pleaser with, as you say. a great riff. My favourite live songs are Stockholm Syndrome and Bliss.
Worth the dive if you decide to take the time on them. Be aware that they choose a different type of sound for every album. So if you don't like one album, just jump to another one, and you'll find a lot to like.
Wow! I feel sorry for you and delighted for you at the same time. Sorry that you have missed out on 23 years of amazing music and maybe some of the best stage shows in history but delighted and slightly envious of you that you have so much to explore and discover for the first time. 9 studio albums to hit so enjoy the ride. I will be off to get my regular live fix this summer.
I've seen him playing this while running and spinning with the guitar floating in the air, all at once at Santiago de Compostela, Spain in 2004. AMAZING
One of the reasons he can play the riff at a gallup is because he's been doing it for 24 years - I recently saw a clip of them playing this in the year 2000, then still largely unknown, Mr Bellamy looking very young, with blonde dyed hair.
What a fantastic first reaction. I often search for muse reactions (particularly live) and yours was a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of others. Keep it up with Muse!
Thanks for reacting to my request, it was so cool the way you reacted, I could have chosen many more song but I wanted people to hear the rawness of almost like the purge siren. I'm hoping people across the world will find the love for this band like I did 1st hearing this as my 1st song. Thank Rosalie for looking up the information behind the title and the songs breakdown of the lyrics 🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘
Muse was 1 of my top gigs ever. It was this tour last time I saw them. Keen for their current tour. This song I sing when I want to make the neighbours dogs bark 🤣
Great reaction - it's always nice to witness someone see Muse live first time :) I highly recommend you watching their Newborn [Live from Wembley] performance as this specific performance is one of my all-time favourites.
Give Muse's song "Undisclosed Desires" a go. Bellamy's voice is outstanding in it. Muse has some crazy creative tracks that go from heavy metal in some, to symphony piece in others, occasionally both in the same song.
Muse are one of the best bands and the best live band out there. I'd say listen to knights of cydonia at Rome, new born at Wembley and hysteria and Wembley to start you off
My friend gave me a free ticket to a ‘muse’ concert in Manchester u.k as they’d been let down, I wasn’t really into them but he did the same and it blew me away!
MUSE is one of the GREATEST bands EVER.Matt Chris and Dom are masters .you should listen their Live at Wembley,HAARP TOUR. They will blow your mind.Especially Plug in baby.
Always love it when reactors do a deep dive on the meanings Matt isn't an amazing lyricist and his lyrics are a little surreal but his vocals are amazing, he almost doesn't need words to express himself. And that's not even mentioning his guitar skills. His "plug in baby" has been theorised to be his guitar though he has said himself he's not entirely sure on the meaning, the line "my plug in baby crucifies my enemies" could mean when words fail him he turns to music to express himself. His control over his expression in his voice is incredible, the way one second he sounds clear and concise and the next he sounds like he's screaming and you can barely even tell what he's saying, the way he slides between notes sometimes and other times he jumps between them in a surgically clean way Check out micro cuts next
Lyrics to the original demo version are a lot more technology oriented, for example “I never meant to love these machines, but they obey my commands adeptly. I will never ever die, in their circuits I can survive”
Thank you for reacting to this amazing band! If you ever have time to find something even more impressive then this live - try Resistance. It will give you chills!! ❤
as always a great reaction and Muse is such a good band it is defintely for those that love alternative music it almost has a kind of old school punk sound (a little bit) he is a great guitarist and he can sing well he has an edge to his voice and knows how to use it to the fullest another fun ride thanks and as always your ride or die forever EyyyyyOoooo.
And guess who's gonna be supporting Muse (again) on their upcoming European tour ... The Warning - who really must've made an impression on Muse when they toured Mexico recently. So glad for the girls as Muse are their main inspiration. Only hope they get to jam onstage together.
Great reaction, hope u join the muse journey and react to there songs, and one thing if u react to muse, always do their live performances, there bloody brilliant live :)
Great video! Entertaining, satisfying to see someone why we love them and deeper review than your average reactions video on youtube. You should start the Muse rabbit hole espacially if you're a musician they are incredible musicians! My picks would be Unnatural Selection or Knights of Cydonia. And you'll know that with Muse you should always go live their energy and chemistry is unmatched!
Fun fact: Matt taught himself guitar. And I don’t mean he like used the internet, it was the 90s. He fucking figured it out. On his own. Guy can’t even read tab.
Rosalie! Muse has a very dystopian slant on all of their music. They regularly sing about society and the implications of things like automation, blindly following governments, etc. Their album, Simulation Theory, is all about computers, algorithms, and how we are supposed to deal with becoming faceless numbers in a society where efficiency is valued above individuality. I think you'll like a lot of Muse if you choose to continue down this path.
That sounds a lot like Bastille’s last album Bring Me The Future, a lot about escapism thru living internet lives… but it’s a much more electronic/pop sensibility to it 😂
Hey! Great reaction! Muse has a song for everyone, they experiment so much throughout the years but keeping their essence, they even had done dubstep, pop and last album Metal with aggro scream and all (by Matt Bellamy) here are some songs you might want to check. New Born live Glastonbury 2003 Assassin at the Mayan Invincible at Wembley Knights of Cydonia live at Rome (same concert as this one) Madness (I'd fo for a live version. But studio's version progression is Soo good too)

Every time they get to the part where the crowd sings the chorus it gives me chills.
It’s really like that at every show they perform. I’ve been to three here in the states and the crowd always sings every line

Their live version of Space Dementia from Zenith (Hullabaloo tour) in Paris is amazing. I love their energy and rawness from that time period.
Bellamy does his morning cardio with a guitar in his hands. I saw them live, we all sang, it was epic. Watch, Time Is Running Out.

We saw Muse at the Milton Keynes Bowl last year (with Royal Blood supporting). Truly the best gig I've ever been to!
