I'm 54 and have seen Muse about 5 times. I have seen so many rock bands since my first Judas Priest in 1981. I have never seen a band generate as much energy within the audience as Muse.
I've been to five as well. I've been to a lot of concerts and I can honestly say that nothing even comes close to the atmosphere and energy of their gigs.
Same here, In my early 50s seen them 5 or 6 times, first time probably 16 or 17 years ago last time I caught them in Dubai at Desert Rock Festival. Always a great show, probably up there with the best live bands.
This concert at Rome was almost 10 years ago, 10 years later and those guys still don't take the foot off the gas. In my honestly opinion they have the best live concert experience in the world!
I’ve been to countless live shows over the past 25 years...from funkadelic to Alabama shakes to tool to hans Zimmer. I didn’t think anyone would (could) top Tool for sheer spectacle and flawless performance talent. Muse did.
I've been to 3 MUSE concerts. An absolute blast each time. The fellas are total professionals - they come in, blow your mind, and leave you wanting more.
Me too! Unbelievable concerts. Would go again anytime. Talent has to be admired, regardless of your own taste! Seen BB King, Bowie, U2, etc. However, these guys rank up there with the list of Queen and Zeppelin. Must be seen live to be appreciated!
The thing he is spinning around is a Dickinson Amp. Im a big Muse fan. Seen them 15 times, every gig is stellar. would highly recommend seeing them. The guitars he uses are custom made by Manson.
It is a chrome colored amp with a spotlight on it so the light gets reflected all around while spinning, they do this every time they play this song. It's hard to tell in black and white.
Fun fact: that intro bit to Cydonia isn’t on the album and is exclusive to the live versions. It’s called “Man with Harmonica” and was originally a leitmotif used in the film Once Upon a Time in the West, one of the greatest westerns composed by the late, great Ennio Morricone. Their rock reinterpretation of it is so perfect for the song to follow. It’s so awesome.
“What was a Muse show like?” Insane. Went in 2019 in Sacramento. I was already a fan, and had heard they put on a great live show...but holy. shit. Only band I’ve ever seen who equaled or topped Tool as a live act for sheer mindblowing talent and wow factor. I won’t spoil the surprises and crazy stuff they do, but suffice it to say they’re better live than they are on record and do not hesitate to go to a show if you have a chance.
Best Muse live : - Butterflies and Hurricanes (wembley 2007) you can see him shredding piano in this song - Stockholm Syndrome (mayan 2015) this song similar to metal bcs the riff You won't regret this, thank you.
I'm 59 years old and have seen Muse live five times in the past five years. London, Lisbon, Berlin, Nijmegen and two years ago Rome The Rome live in Olympic Stadium 2019 was by far the best live concert I've seen in my life. (I have seen a few) Muse is electric epic, an absolute must to check at least 1 time in your life. Not only the music....but also the visuals, superb !! Next year Florence, and I hope so that they will do Rome again.
Still so relevant today. I have seen too many artists and bands to count, but THIS BAND LIVE is unmatched. Goosebumps for the entire show. From the stage design, to the lights, wardrobe, and instruments, they are perfection. There are no words for Matthew's talent. They are all gold. For that reason I have seen them 3 times.
Dude i've been to about 4 Muse concerts over the years and they are freaking phenomenal. I haven't been a huge fan of their latest work but damn they put on a hell of a show. Talented bois.
Muse are one of those rare bands that are far better live then any studio albums. Only saw them once but holy shit they were perfect and better then I could imagine.
I was already a fan but, after seeing them live at Sziget festival 2016, i fall in love. Singer and guitarist Matt Bellamy is such a good musician, the riffs he wrote are not difficult to play but also sounds magical. By the way, He is using Manson Guitars which are custom made and he recently bought that company.
Over 12 times. You won't get a tighter, more rehearsed band with all kinds of jams and variations in songs. They are at homes in a giant stadium, but put them in something small and they will gladly blow the ceiling off. Matt is talented beyond belief and both Matt and the band have always been horribly underrated.
I've been to multiple Muse concerts on my day... in the 00's... I even went on purpose from Portugal to Spain and England to see them live... They are simply amazing live, one of the best live bands ever, that's all
Fun fact: Apparently, the reason Matt Bellamy is able to hit such high falsetto notes is because his vocal cords are smaller and therefore able to vibrate faster than the average person.
I saw Muse for the first time when they were touring their debut album. They played a rather small hall in Hamburg and it was already very intense. Never would've thought that Muse will get THAT big though. :-)
Matt Bellamy has multiple guitars with a sustainer pickup. It makes the pickup self generate a tone, til you deactivate the magnet. He also had guitars wired with a midi system to get more spacey tones, and also has synth touch pads on some guitars as well as kill buttons. Basically he has the most tech built into his guitars as possible.
everyone is confused about why there is a man on the floor at the start of knights of cydonia its amazing xD the context for it is that the guy was used as an actor in the song prior to it which was called "animals" - i'd really recommend it
I was at that concert, It was my second... Amazing... That balloons in the stadium were synapses put all around the stadium... And that thing spinning around was an amp! One of the best concert!
I have seen these guys twice when they were here in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Both times the experience was mind blowingly awesome! Everything from the talent to the stage set up never disappoints. Being able to see them in concert was something I could proudly mark off my bucket list.
Matt Bellamy mainly uses Manson guitars but goes anywhere between Gibson, Ibanez, and Fenders as well. For effects he uses the Digitech Whammy, the Boss OC-2, ZVEX Fuzz Factory, Keeley 2-knob Compressor among a fuckton of others, those are really just the basics. As a guitar player myself, i happen to have looked this up.
so the guy on the floor was from the previous song, they had actors come out as if they where oil barons throwing money with Muse printed on it, And thats an AMp he is spinning
I've been to a few Muse concerts, and everytime I go they raise the bar. They always play flawless, but the whole show around it is great. The last tour had dancers and giant robots on stage. The tour before that was the tour for the Drones album, so naturally they had giant drones flying through the arena, synced up to the music. Muse are always a blast because of the whole show.
I've seen them live several times. They are absolutely mindblowing. Hearing Matt's voice live, especially the intense, angelic soaring-to-the-heavens-thing he frequently does, is an insane experience. Check out "Ruled by Secrecy" live @Glastonbury 2004 for an incredible vocal performance. You also get to see him play the piano👌🏻
I've been to 3 concerts of theirs. The first was just a festival, but the other two, was in copenhagen and both was amazing! They know how to make all of their different kinds of records and stiles into one hole.. They are really great in concerts!
I've seen them 4 times. First in Jul'00 at a summer festival in Spain. Nobody knew them, they played in a little stage. After the concert we could chat with them for a while and take some pictures (nobody really knew them yet, that was sooooo cool). After that, I saw them 3 more times in Barcelona, the last one on the same tour of this video of Rome.
I've just been to one of their concerts 3 days before this DVD show took place, it was in the Turin Olympic Stadium and I'll never forget it, AMAZING I was hyped for months after it and every time I watch this DVD.. such great memories
I've been to easily 100 live shows and nobody even comes close to matching Muse live. I saw them play at Red Rocks in 2008 and I can't even describe how amazing that experience was. It was MAGICAL! Even my toenails had goosebumps. All I can say is, if you have the opportunity to, then go see them live. You won't regret it.
About time you guys are back ! And you can't get much better than Muse - especially with their anthem "Plug In Baby" about Matt's guitar, and not a personal stimulation device.
Matt Bellamy uses Manson guitars/amps they are a small company based in England, all custom made for him. I've seen them at 4 stadium shows and about 8 or 10 arena's I can't remember exactly?? Matt Bellamy is also a classically trained pianist, check out Butterflies and Hurricanes or New Born great songs with awesome piano parts, Muse have been playing stadiums since around 2007 ish in Europe/UK, they've been playing shows in America since around 2003 ish.. they are incredible live! Every time I see them I don't know what I'm gonna get! It's a surprise every time! The best example was last summer at the Olympic Stadium in London where they lit up the entire stadium with lazers it was jaw dropping! I highly recommend you go and see them! It's always an experience! Their is literally no band out there like them! Btw the guy laying on the floor in the beginning of Knights was a banker holding money in his hand, specifically Lira.. that was from the previous song Animals which you will find out if you watch the entire concert.
My first Muse concert was.. i think 1999 in Strasbourg France, was there with my best friends after finishing school for holiday at lake nearby.. first time i saw them, first album Showbiz was out... it was phenomenal... since than i am big fan an visited several concerts in GB and Germany.... great band, so talented
I've only seeen a Muse concert once. They played in Turkey as part of Rock'n Coke in 2006. I've been a fan of this band since I was a kid, so every minute of it was amazing for me. Matt Bellamy is my biggest idol. I think they are the best "stage band" of 2000's generation of rock bands
I’m lucky enough to have seen them live around 5 times now, I implore you to go and see them live... it’s one of the best things you could possibly do. There level of stage show is second to none and without sounding silly those memories I’ve got are unreal and make me smile every single time. You need to dig deeper and listen to more. Stockholm Syndrome and Starlight are personal favourites from their live shows. Go and see them!
I went to a Muse show in NC. A fucking tropical storm hit the outdoor venue after the opening act, thunder, lightning, pounding rain, mandatory evac of the venue. Show got delayed, tons of people bitched out and left. We hid in a bathroom for like an hour + then hopped the barrier from GA to Vip area when the show finally started. They killed it.
Seen Muse twice; Once in 2017 in an outdoor concert that was kind of a double header with 30 Seconds to Mars, and 2019 when they were touring after their latest album. The first was more dressed down because they weren't doing an album-specific tour, while the one in 2019 was insane with production. Anytime you can catch them supporting an album it's going to be an amazing time. I was at the second show of their tour and intentionally didn't read anything about their first because I wanted to be surprised by what they did. It was full of choreographed extras doing routines, confetti cannons, balls that were released into the crowd to bat around, and a ton more. Later into their set they played what was dubbed the "Metal Medley" where they did played bits of their heavier songs all in quick succession. As this part started a giant skeleton-robot came out of the stage, with moving arms, a head that had a moving jaw, etc. It was insane. In terms of production value, there hasn't been a concert i've been to that came close to it.
I think back in 2011/2012 I saw Muse live in Florida. It was amazing and surreal. My favorite song at the time was Stockholm Syndrome, and I was surprised that they played it. It was so great.
I’ve been to 2 Muse shows. The first one was in Oklahoma City, in 2010. The second one was in Dallas, in 2015. Both, really fun shows. In the Dallas show, Chris Wolstenholme (bassist) got a pie (or cake) in the face by his fellow band members. It was his birthday.
Ive seen muse live in london Drones tour Best live group ive ever seen and I saw ACDC Def leppard KISS Iron Maiden in the 80's. MUSE are by far the best live band Ive ever seen.
I have been to four muse shows and I swear, EVERYONE has to see them live at least once! Sincerely they are 100% into pleasing their live fans! You will never be disappointed!
Watch the previous song from this concert, "Animals", and you will understand what's the deal with the dead guy. Seen Muse in 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2018. Every time it was an experience. They have big productions with lasers, flying drones, dancers or a giant skeleton robot. The sound is incredible, the songs are easy to sing along with, especially if you are a fan and know the lyrics. It' s a giant karaoke hall that bounces around non-stop most of the times. By the time they released their latest album in 2018 they have so many hits that during this last tour they had to do a medley of 5-6 popular songs so they could squeeze them in the performance.
First saw Muse in 2004, and they blew me away, seen them now a further 7 times, and never fail to disappoint. Music has changed, and being honest, prefer the out and out rock stuff of old, but hats off to them for trying to keep things fresh and moving onwards with their newer style.
In the Set the Song before Knights is called " Animal "which in turn is about greed of the Corporate animal .. Hence the Guy laying Dead with Cash in Hand ...
I was there. the actor is holding some "MUSO" (a fake "EURO" currency created specifically for that tour) from the previous song Animals, Towards the end of the song, they shot them in the air with a cannon. I managed to get some and I still have them as a memorabilia.
I saw Muse in Cardiff, UK a few years ago. Phenomenal energy and awesome light show / production etc, that’s on top of a lot of great tunes. Definitely try to catch them if you ever get an opportunity.
I was brought to your channel by Muse reactions. I've been to two Muse concerts, one in South Korea in 2009 and one in Germany, Rock im Park 2010, where I was riiiight in front in the standing area. Absolutely phenomenal!!! That being said, you should definitely check out Butterflies and Hurricanes next!
Been to a couple, no one concert is really the same and they'll never disappoint. Check out Stockholm Syndrome live at Glastonbury 04 or The Mayan to really hear'm rock.
The live performance of Stockholm Syndrome on the latest (simulation theory) tour was one the craziest things I’ve ever seen at a live show. Not just the music...but the 100 foot HR Giger cyborg skeleton puppet that rose up from backstage and started moving its mouth and swiping its arm over the stage as you heard everyone around you realizing it wasn’t onscreen but was real and started screaming “holy shit!”
Best Live Rock Band Touring Today!!!🤘🤘been to many! They have been arena tours in US wish I could see them in a European stadium where they get the respect they deserve!! ❤️❤️ MUSE!
I'm only here for the Babymetal or Band-Maid but I wanted to pop in and say that it's really nice to see you all back on YT. Look forward to your reactions again, brightening up the world a bit! Stay safe.
Saw them in 2019 here in The Netherlands, and even only knowing the hits, had an amazing time, they give such a great show. If you get the change, just go 😎🤘
Matt uses custom Manson guitars fitted with all sorts of tech from a sustainer to fuzzfactoray built in also uses a Manson M1D1 with Kaos pad fitted, too many pedals to list but his use of the digitech whammy is legendary, seen them 30 times at least and the stage show gets better every time
The Bass Player Chris does a fuzztone, I think he is an Ibanez guy. That's the fret board lighting up. I'm a Drummer, so I don't know a lot about Guitars. Also the drummer is one of the best left handed drummers of All-Time
Great reaction as always guys! Seen them play here in the UK, just awesome especially for a 3 piece, the sound they create is amazing always! Definitely check out "Butterflies and Hurricanes" from Wembley, one of my favourite songs where Matt plays a beautiful piano solo half way through! 🤘
I've seen Muse twice. First was the Uprising tour, Second was Drones.... Both for under 70 bucks a ticket I think, and I remember thinking each time I would have happily paid 200 each given the mind blowing epic experience they never fail to deliver. I wish I could relive those experiences lol
I went to the last show from their tour in 2019, right before all this crazyness. It was the very first time they played in my country, so I consider that a milestone in my life to be honest.
Went to a Muse concert years ago and it was a blast, they had 3 platforms that moved up and down with screens on the outside of the platforms showing videos to go with the songs.
I've been to 3 Muse concerts and they have been all amazing! Now I do have to say their U.S tours have amazing production. Look up their 2009 performances. They had 3 moving towers they stood on.
I've been to so many rock concerts over 20 years now and none have come close to comparing with Muse. I've seen Muse 3 times in concert now and I've always been blown away at their performance each time
I've been a fan of Muse since their first single, Uno, in 1999. I've been to 3 concerts of theirs so far and each one is amazing. No other live shows compare. Matt Bellamy (lead vocalist) has Manson guitars made bespoke to his requirements - in fact he now part owns the business! You need to see the ones with the KAOSS pad built-in - stunning!
I saw muse this year in Las Vegas. Best show I’ve ever seen. Loved it so much, I drove a week later to watch them again in Salt Lake City . Can’t wait for to come back to America.
The yellow paper around and being held by the "dead" man is money. I believe it represents the 200Euro note. The character was a "fat cat" businessman in the previous song.
I've been to 8 Muse concerts since 2009 when I was 13, all have been absolutely fantastic even though I much prefer their earlier material (Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, and Black Holes & Revelations is their "golden era" imo) when they had a more unique, innovative sound. Their latest tour was extremely theatrical, which was a pretty awesome spectacle, but I think Muse was at their best live in terms of setlist and performance around 2003-2008. Songs like Stockholm Syndrome at Glastonbury or Earl's Court 2004 are insane. But still, their live sound quality is pretty much unmatched by any other band I've seen live.
I saw Muse in a venue that held about 2,000 people before they got massive and they were stunning then without al the effects and crazy light shows. Great reaction!
I've seen them here in the States something like 8 times (including opening for U2's 360 Tour). As someone who usually goes to 20-40 concerts in a given year covering a wide range of music (old and new), Muse is by far one of my favorite live acts. Each member is so incredibly talented. And they generate an unbelievable amount of energy.
Saw them Lisbon’s Rock in Rio 2008. At the time Muse was my favorite band and to this day they’re still one of my favorite bands! That concert was amazing and I was fortunate enough to get a spot next to the stage right in front of Matt Bellamy 😁
Yes, "L'Olimpico", Rome Olympic Stadium is pretty big, can hold up to around 70.000 people for sport events, fewer for concerts, here there were around 60.000. So yeah, that stage was huge and those flames were Rammstein level 😅

I'm 54 and have seen Muse about 5 times. I have seen so many rock bands since my first Judas Priest in 1981. I have never seen a band generate as much energy within the audience as Muse.
Pretty much the same for me. 5 Muse concerts. Two years older... Muse in Paris was probably the apex. They have a huge, fanatical following in France.
I've been to five as well. I've been to a lot of concerts and I can honestly say that nothing even comes close to the atmosphere and energy of their gigs.

Ditto. I'm nearly 55 and seen them with my family here in the UK. They are a must see live. First band I saw live were Ultravox.
If you have been there you will know how mind melting it actually is. Jesus.
They're so innovative with their concerts. When I saw Muse live they had a rotating stage with drones flying around the arena.
Wooow a bon dommage pas encore vue malheureusement la santée de M...

3, how lucky, only seen them once live.
I've been to 3 MUSE concerts too, amazing experience!
Been there once 2019 with 40k to 50k people in Cologne, Germany and it's still the best day I've lived yet :3
Your mind's blown, you leave....bemused..
Seen them 4 times live, Muse and Rammstein are the masters of live spectacle. Never disappoint.
Saw Muse in London in 2019 and 2 weeks later Rammstein in Milton Keynes, best gigs ever
The thing he is spinning around is a Dickinson Amp. Im a big Muse fan. Seen them 15 times, every gig is stellar. would highly recommend seeing them. The guitars he uses are custom made by Manson.
15 times, wow!!
My first one was in 2006, I'm up to 8 now ^^
Well, not just that. He owns Manson guitars

@@Dan-os9kg he has owned a few hundred of them.

Don't know if anyone has commented but Matt is also a classically trained pianist and is amazing on the ivory keys
Oui j'ai vue ça c'est un génie ce Matt

Been to 8 MUSE concerts in the last 20 years - they’re incredible live
How can there be people who don't know what a harmonica is?!
A Muse fan. 46 concerts in. I still love every fucking song by them. That's special.
Been to see them 5 times, twice at wembley and 3 in Glasgow. Absolutely the best live band I've seen and I've seen a good few.
Muse and Babymetal - two bands which sounds much more better live then on album. I saw them in Berlin, absolutely fantastic experience!
Been to 21 muse gigs since 2001. UK and Europe mostly. It never gets old even 20 years later.
If you ever get the chance do it!
I saw Muse in 2019 in Bristol Stadium , England. They put on a hell of a show. One of the best gigs I've ever been to
Been to a couple, no one concert is really the same and they'll never disappoint.
❤️❤️ MUSE!
Thanks for this reac video ! I saw them 12 Times in concert, 12 moments of exception ! They are so incredible ! Best band Ever !
John Carpenter’s Halloween teeshirt, YES!! great reaction..
I'm only here for the Babymetal or Band-Maid but I wanted to pop in and say that it's really nice to see you all back on YT. Look forward to your reactions again, brightening up the world a bit! Stay safe.
More babymetal and band-maid coming soon!
@@MettalMaffiaOfficial WooHoo!🤘🎸🦊
Best live band on the planet!
I've seen them live 4 times. They're my favourites and each of them has been a special experience. As good as it gets for me
Best concert I’ve ever been to was when muse came to New Jersey about 10 years ago.
Also the drummer is one of the best left handed drummers of All-Time
Seen them 6 times over the years. First time in 2003. Unbelievable shows!
Hi i' m from Spain and I have seen 1 Muse concert and was Awesome.
My husband and I saw Muse in Seattle in 2015 and it was epic. I love rock music and they are the definition of rock!
Anything from Muse live is great, thanks for this.
Not a big muse fan, saw these live at old Trafford cricket ground, fucking amazing and the stage show was second to none
The harmonica tune is from the movie Once Upon a Time in the West
i've seen them twice in Portugal! they are legit. best band there is
I've been to 3 Muse concerts and they have been all amazing!
I have been to conert once. And yeah. One of the best experience of my life :D Great reaction!
Can I suggest song more? Muse - Assassin - Live Mayan
I saw muse live at the Etihad Stadium about 6 or 7 years ago. The greatest concert I’ve ever been too.
Oracle Arena 2015, Shoreline Amphitheater 2017, Hollywood Palladium 2019, Oracle again 2019 and it was goddamn wild every time!
He was holding/playing the harmonica! Lol
I’ve been to 2 concerts in Portland OR and one in Houston Tx (front row) hands down best concert ever!!!
Yes, "L'Olimpico", Rome Olympic Stadium is pretty big, can hold up to around 70.000 people for sport events, fewer for concerts, here there were around 60.000. So yeah, that stage was huge and those flames were Rammstein level 😅
Saw Muse once, best concert I've ever seen!
