i know im rather late to the party but you have once again saved another piece of equipment from anger. i don't know what i would do without your videos.
BTW, Lee, an off topic question here... Is it possible to use TBS smart audio and/or Tramp with iNav? I'm choosing components for a future wing build. 😊
Ok if you can please answer one more question for me and i'll leave you alone.I have the proper zip file for the sd error code in the sd card file but when i place the card in the qx7 it still shows the SD error code? the other files like sound etc all work in this sd card?
You need to check the contents of the opentx.sd.card file on your SD card. So if you're still getting the error then you're copying the new files to the wrong place on the SD card or you are downloading and copying the wrong version.. Best of luck!
I can’t say I fully understand, but I’m hoping that when I get my transmitter, I will follow along step by step, video by video, & everything will fall into place. Thanks for your help. I’m taking your advice, getting a TX7 & Bix3. One off topic question, the Bix3 landing gear is it 4mm? I plan on ordering bigger wheels with it. I understand that big wheels will probably affect flight performance, but I’m willing to trade that for improvement when landing on less than perfect surfaces.
Dear sir. Just quick question plz. so after i update the firmware my radio I tried to write the firmware to radio but I keep getting Directory is missing the firmware. And elso even I bootloader the radio i still get sdcard warning. Do you have any idea please?
I have a jumper t12 on version 2.2.2 of open tx. I really don’t want to upgrade the version and I can’t find that radios specific sd contents on their site. Can I use a different radio download or will that mess things up?
Lee, Has Taranis changed the model numbers? when I went into my "Radio Profile" after down loading ".2.2.2 , the profile was not listed, I have seen x9d, x9d+. Thinking that the it is called the 9d+ I down loaded this, now I cannot load anything and get all sorts of messages. Can I get back to my original 2.1.9?.
@@Painless360 Thank for the reply. I have put in the X9D radio in profile. OK'ed that then down loaded 2.2.2 put in the firmware, wrote it to radio and disconnected,on the radio it said "write firmware" done this and now have a blank screen and a nice buzzing sound. I think I have now "Bricked the Radio". Can not see a segment on the list on how to get it back to normal. Every time I turn on nothing happens just the buzzing. Will now have to do things through the SD card. With my problems it looks like you will be making new video's for the next few years. Thanks. Ian
I cannot seem to be able to get rid of the sd card error, as well as no sounds on the taranis qx7 , and I downloaded the correct version (ver 2.2 v0018), but still no luck, any ideas?
Can we hookup sd card to desktop and load file...or does it haveto be through open tx? I would prefer to do it through my desgtop with my sd card reader.
It says to add the opentx.sdcard.version "at the root of the file". I presume that means top of the list above all the folders? Trouble is it won't let me do that, it always ends up somewhere in the middle or at the bottom and I can't seem to do anything about it. Would it work if I put it in the CROSSFIRE folder which is at the top?
If you follow the process I show in the video, where I right click the file and select copy et cetera, then it should work fine. Just make sure that you’re not hovering your mouse button over the top of one of the actual directories on the SD card and it’s hovering over anywhere else in that window when you right click and select paste..
Thanks for your very quick reply, I'm using a Macbook so I only have the drag and drop option and cannot replicate your process. No matter what I do I can't get the opentx.sdcard.version to stay at the top, the other folders always want to leapfrog it. It's driving me nuts!@@Painless360
