Mel's actually 96. He'll be 97 on June 28th. Hope he hits 100! If his health is still good then, that is.

I was rooting for Carl Reiner. Then Betty White--my favorite celebrity! I called yes on Mr. Brooks last night, and my husband agrees with me. Whatever you are eating, keep eating it, Mr. Brooks.

How wonderful to hear how cogent and lively Mel Brooks is at age 97. Still making us laugh. What a blessing. And did you notice how he read the letter WITHOUT glasses?

Gene has always and will always be a legend. Kind, decent, caring and funny as hell. Willy Wonka and Young Frankenstein were brilliant performances and nobody could have pulled them off like Gene did.

I only know Gene Wilder for like 2, 3 Years, but at least on screen he was allways absolutely excellent and had something very warm and comforting around him.

I watched Young Frankenstein as a poor kid in the 70s and it made me laugh and escape into his world and vision. Love him and Gene forever. Sad to see what has happened to film nowadays.

Gene made a western with Harrison Ford. The Frisco kid, I believe is the name. It is a really good movie, and it is never mentioned when anyone talks about Gene Wilder's movies. It is worth seeing.

After many years, I saw Gene Wilder in an episode of 'Will and Grace' in the bathroom. I never watched the show, but somehow caught this part. After he is left alone, he looks into the mirror and screams, "YOU'RE NUTS!!"

Space Balls is my favorite movie. Saw it as a kid before I ever saw a star wars movie. I didn't have a reference for most of the jokes. Mel Brooks helped form my humor at a very young age and an outgoing Spaceballs sequel would be such a gift. Even if it sucked.
