I know the response is "it's not a real animal" but they stuffed up the attachment of the legs again like they did with the coloured coins.
Look at chinese mythical dragon designs, the legs are not equal either. Q.E.D
@@jamesdoe3713 Counterpoint, look at examples like the Flag of the Qing dynasty (The flag that became China's first national flag). The legs connect correctly.
@@Rygoat Some examples yes, many examples dont. The Perth Mint didnt "stuff up" as you put it. It's just not what YOU wanted.

You're the first that I've seen! Absolutely something note-worthy I think!
Coinciding with the change of monarch :) Reminds me of how mints tend to change the facing direction on a currencies coin whenever a new monarch is selected.

It's a winner. I'll get one, diverting me from something else which I should be buying to fill in a gap in the collection. At least this is closer to spot. We'll see if BN has any allocation left by the time I get paid, lol. Couple of minor irritations, the placement of Charlie III's effigy is a bit wonky, do you see it? Also the winding dragon doesn't quite gel as a shape. The head is nice as displayed in the close up and the background is very interesting. Wasn't a fan of last year's Smaug's treasure hoard background. And yeah, give us a ten ounce coin bar or kilo or something, jeez, compete with the St Helena stuff. Anyway, apart from the usual Lunars this'll be the first Perth Mint stuff i've bought this year. Was really disappointed with the sovereign design, like teeth grindingly so and I was saving up to go big on that. Didn't like the anniversary design either, looked kitsch and thrown together.
Glad to hear one of their designs has hit the mark for you this year! Hopefully we've still got at least one hanging around you by the time payday hits. Fingers crossed for a ten ounce or kilo version!
@@BullionNow I feel bad letting it out like that, but I couldn't let my reputation as a cranky old curmudgeon down now could I? heh. As for this year's designs. The year's not over yet, there's a lovely snake coming. Although you could say that's a '25 coin.
