I cant say the Kookaburra is my cup of tea, I am not a fan. The wedge tail eagles are both lovely. Michael is right. Gotta appreciate Perth Mint having the courage to experiment.
I think I need to just to connect my wallet directly to Perth Mint. They are expensive here in the US, but I keep buying them anyway. I hate the colored stuff, but those Chinese lunar are great, and the commemoratives. It is fun to learn Australian history and such. We know so little of it that it is new and exciting.
Very unique kookaburra. First time I've seen that many colours on a silver coin. I actually really like the gold and platinum look. It really makes the eagle pop, as Michael said. The obverse just looks like the eagle is doing a number 2 on King Charles. Unfortunately or not?
They really need a better designer for the wedgetail , have they ever scene one , picked one up and scene them in the wild. The 3 Oz looks like a pidgeon. But I like the bi metallic concept. And the box . Will probably grab a Kookaburra
Beautiful design! I really like how Australia incorporates its indigenous heritage into this Kookaburra.
