I ordered the sport but ended up buying a luxury model off the lot. I first liked the sport grille but now I like the luxury. Not much difference. Seems like most of the cars sold are sports. I like to have the rarest model.
In the past, I have owned a Porsche, many Audis, and many Lincoln Continentals. I also rent a Tesla Model 3 for two weeks a year when I take a trip to California. . When comparing my Cadillac Lyric to them I called my Lyric my “so-so” car. So quiet, so smooth, so powerful, so smart, and when in the self driving mode, so relaxing. Every EV buyer, or ICE buyer should test drive a lyric

I think the range of the caddy is much better than the model Y. I have a model Y long range which is supposed to be 535KM but in reality I get 350KM!! It's brutal. I bet the GM gets more than the stated range because my chevy Bolt certainly did. Needless to say, I'm considering selling my Y for this Lyric.
You get used to it very quickly. You can use the 2 thumb wheels on the wheel to control volume, temp, and wiper speed. It's actually quite simple. Tesla also has the most logical menu layout, but I'm not happy there is no sat radio. Yes, I know I can stream from my phone. Been doing that for 4 years and it's clunky.
An experienced Tesla driver does not tinker with the 15" display while driving. Almost all vehicle functions are controlled by voice commands. Admittedly there is a learning curve to driving a Tesla. Physical knobs & buttons are not needed. Just learn to use voice commands for operating a Tesla.
This video is very biased towards the lyriq. There’s a lot of pros the Tesla has that isn’t mentioned. Might as well just tell us Cadillac paid for this video. I like the design of the lyriq more but Tesla has a lot more pros that weren’t mentioned in my opinion.
I don’t think Cadillac is marketing to current electric car buyers, but to people getting ready to make the switch. Teslas are the new Prius whose owners are virtue signaling. Cadillac drivers are just showing off that they have a cadillac.
@@Jesse-lr8tr Wife drives about 500 miles a month tops. We use a home 250w charger. Will charge it overnight easily. We do not use charging stations but there is 1 at the gas station next to our house as well.
I really enjoyed your review, well done! I just bought the Tesla Model 3 and my neighbor just bought the Cad Lyriq. The Tesla has more tech and range, the Cad is better quality. I chose the Tesla for range and self drive, my neighbor the Cad for driving clients around. Both choices make sense, we are both happy.
@@MagsbravoIt depends on the temperature you are driving in. In temperate climates, Teslas will meet their range ratings if driven conservatively. And in the city they exceed their range ratings. In extreme hot and cold climates ALL EVs lose 20-40% of their range.
You are right. The Cadillac compares favorably to the Tesla, and definitely feels like the newer, fresher vehicle. The Lyriq has some great wheel choices, too! Enjoyed the video, especially the faster pacing and the new angles afforded by the addition of a cameraman!
I own a 23 Tesla MY LR with the $2k boost (more power). The Lyriq was newly released upon my purchase. I compared the Lyriq, Mach-E, Polestar 2, and GT6. I think most, but not all of them from the factory look better than the Y, inside and out (mine is wrapped and accessorized to my liking). However, the price, range, acceleration, tech, and supercharger network won me over. The Mach-E was the best runner up. This was a pretty good comparison video but it did feel rushed or biased when it came to the Y. You showed your dislike which was pretty funny to see. "Backseat (Model Y), not much to see here." Forget their speakers, legroom, headroom, and cupholders...whatever 😂. The Lyriq is hands down the looker and luxury winner of all vehicles mentioned, but Cadillac ruined my experience with a previously owned XTS. Their screen was a well documented disaster and they refused to fix it because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. I took that into consideration when I wanted an EV. I hope they have better luck with their cool looking, elongated infotainment screens these days because it is a beauty. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the video.
It wasn’t under warranty so you’re out of luck as with most manufacturers including ELONS dream. Other stealerships may have taken care of you if you had done some homework and made a few phone calls
You did what was best for you. I'd also pick the Model Y just because of their supercharger network. Now, if and when the Lyric start using Tesla's superchargers, or whoever with a reliable network as Tesla. Then I'll consider the Lyric.
Great Cadillac commercial. But you're not wrong. I owned a Model Y for 3 years that I bought new. I pick up my brand new Lyriq in 2 days. It's a far superior ride and design. It is indeed the Cadillac of SUVs. That means something again. It took Detroit 7 years (since I bought my first Tesla), but they are finally doing it better than Elon (who has lost his mind and also stopped caring).
The challenge will come when / if you road trip. The Lyriq has many good qualities, but road tripping is where the Tesla has the advantage, by most accounts.
@@davidmenasco5743 You are not kidding, David!! We leave in 6 days for a 5K mile road trip. The Lyriq sport 3 is staying in the garage and we'll ride in the bumpy, crappy built Model Y we bought new in 2021. But even with the lower range, the charging/routing options are far superior. I'm not going more than 150 miles from my house in the Lyriq until I get the GM NACS converter and we have access to Tesla Superchargers. I have AAA, but I sure as hell don't wanna use it. I have yet to run out of gas or power in my 54 years and I don't intend to start on this road trip out east. GM is just not there yet, even though Lyriq is superior to Model Y/X in every other conceivable way (except FSD too). Though I prefer SuperDrive on the highway, I can eat my lunch in the car while my Model Y drives me to my next appointment. That's just awesome. Caddy wins everything else. Far superior comfort, materials and build quality. No Elon ego and APPLE PLAY! FFS I have been WAITING!
I live in Arizona and have the Model Y. The glass roof although tinted will still heat up the car considerably in the summer. I have a sunshade that I will put on the roof during the hotter months to help.
While I love tech, I really appreciate old-school controls in my cars. I don't want to be distracted, just want to reach out and grab a knob to turn when driving.
I just picked up my Oppulent Blue AWD Sport 3 (500hp). The Lyric is luxe-elegant, interior/exterior character lines emotionally connects (heart skips a beat when I see the back/front led-lighting cinematic choreography dance). After 20+ years with German & Sweeden ICE's as my daily, I'm now a believer of EV & Cadillac engineering! Cadillac 2024 rebates ($$), luxe/bespoke interior materials, retractable sunroof, night gloss 22s, ambient lighting galore, true hands-free SUPER CRUISE, & now able to use Tesla charging network, the Lyric satisfied all my tech and driving emotion requirements. Pray bless live love life IN LYRIC LUXE (PBL3-Ly-Luxe).
Great video Kenny. I'd pick the Lyriq hands down because you see Teslas everywhere here plus it does not seem that they have really updated the styling. Your videographer did a great job!
A note on the outside door handles on the Tesla. They are designed like GM door handles from the 80's in that you are supposed to push the button with your thumb and pull the handle with your hand. So for ease of erganomics, you use your left hand to open left hand doors, and your right hand to open right hand doors. Fun review. I look forward to watching more!
@@johnroberts9922 True. However, I wasn't saying they looked the same. I was saying they were designed to be operated the same way. Push in with the thumb, then pull out with the fingers.
This is the first review I'm seen from you that compares two cars . . excellent job . . I also like the fact that you have someone else doing the video work while you talk, which makes the video look very professional. ( favorite line of the video "I Will Get On It . . WHY NOT" )
This doesn’t seem to be widely known, but if you want more traditional EV like acceleration with your Lyriq you can add the velocity max feature which boosts torque by 74”b-ft and remaps the way the power comes on in the Lyriq, which you noted is more like a traditional luxury car V-8 in the Lyriq. The Velocity max feature does cut about 0.4 seconds off 0-60 time.
THERE IS NO COMPARISON. I just bought a 2024 Lyriq AWD Luxury 3. I got it loaded. Power moonroof, 19KW charger, 22's, Black roof... $80,000. Even a fully loaded Model Y Performance isn't that high. But even if you just look at the cars, the Lyriq's exterior is far more elegant. Its interior is far more elegant. The Lyriq is a better luxury car than ANY of the Teslas including the S and X. They are PREMIUM but they aren't "Luxury". The Model Y's interior is amateurish. All that said: I believe the Model Y, is the better buy for a "work car" because it's less expensive and the supercharger network Tesla has is second to none. I charge my Lyriq at home on a step-2 Lectron V-box. (It's charging right now in fact).
Excellent summary, Passport. I purchased a Lux 2 AWD Lyriq. My days of driving a bare bones car that looks, feels and rides like an 80’s base model Chrysler product are behind me. I wanted , and was willing to pay for, a luxury car…..plus I can’t stand Musk.
Great write up Big Truck! Funny - I follow you on my personal RUclips channel. Cool to see you on my main.. You hooked it up with the CTIC stock back a few years ago when it was a penny stock.. I had paper hands and sold it like an idiot before it blew up..
Purchased a model y lg awd as a work/commute car. Needed a 7 seater to replace 08 sienna as main car for family. We love the tesla. The minimal interior is clean and nice. This video compares a luxury car to a non and it's laughable. Very bias review in my opinion. Every thing he didn't like about the tesla is dang easy to navigate and takes seconds.
The humming sound is the sound when the car goes less than 25 mph. It’s not really annoying but you can hear it when driving slow thru a parking lot or approaching a stop sign etc.
I own a Tesla and drove a Lyriq. Really nice SUV. But until there's a reliable charging network to support it on long trips, no other BEV is going to displodge Tesla. Yes, Cadillac has committed to making their cars compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network, but at first it will only use an adapter that is not yet available.
I charge my Lyriq at home whilst I sleep. I'll be damned if I'll be waiting in line with people for 30 minutes a pop. I DON'T DO ANY ROAD TRIPS. My Lyriq is my NYC daily cruiser. If I did Road Trips, I'd use a Chrysler Pacifica Minivan or my Jeep SRT.
I have the 24 Lyriq, and just this past weekend we drove it on a 4 hour roadtrip from Houston to Dallas which actually took 4:45 mins because of charging. We stopped and charged at Electrify America Fast charger 350 kw for for 45 mins and when we arrived in Dallas we still had a charge to do all the things planned. On the way home we went to a Tesla station in Ft Worth that had a magic dock. We charged there for 30 mins to get us back to the Electrify America Charger where we charged 45 minutes and then made it all the way home with 25% charge left. I think it is definitely doable for shorter trips. The charging networks are growing and will be easier to use in no time. We plan to drive it on a 9 hour trip this Summer and we are looking forward to see how that goes. 😊
I’d use the front for important stuff and I might not want to use all the time but I want them in the car like a raincoat extra shoes something like that
I’m still not completely sold on any electric vehicle. I live in Texas so I would never get any car with a glass roof with no shade. Also, there are no Tesla dealers in Texas and the closest service center to me is nearly 200 miles away. I think I will stick with ICE for now. I might revisit an electric car when everyone uses the same charging standard.
I have the Lyriq 24 and live in Houston. My Lyriq has the glass roof and a shade that closes to keep the sun out. It works great. We also have driven to Dallas from Houston twice now and have had no issues charging. That said, I can’t wait for more charging options to be able to extend our roadtrips. The Lyriq is a very comfortable and smooth ride and make roadtrip so much more enjoyable. 😊
There was two power buttons to drop those seats why did you use the manual function? Anyway I like both cars but after driving both to me.....two different worlds. One feels refined and luxurious and the other seems very low rent. I hate to say that because I don't like bashing like most on the internet today. Still it is just true one is refined and one is not plain and simple. You figure it out!
If Tesla had made an illuminated front grill. They would have said how gimmicky that is. Tesla would have never lived that down. The Tesla you get Autopilot Standard included, no charge. The standard autopilot is allot better than super cruise, a better deal.
Good review nice fast pace. The caddy is everything the Tesla has lacking. Screens in the right place , luxury beautiful interior, physical buttons , very intriguing. Except that it's General Motors.
The Lyriq is way nicer looking to me, Teslas are just NPC cars and look like fat eggs/jelly beans with a horrid interior (I've driven a Model S) The Lyriq seems more practical and the interior feels like a car

No. You're high on Elon's flatulence. GM brought PHEV Volt to market IN 2010, and beat Tesla to market with sub-$35k, 250 mile range , $25k Bolt in 2016. Tesla STILL hasn't fielded a $25k car in 2024. GM did it almost 10 years ago. GM has been "in the game" a long time

I don't know what you mean GM has been making cars....Cadillac for that matter for over 100+ years and Tesla for a little more than a decade. See how that logic isn't fully realized when thought out.
Cadillac basically invented luxury, and the price is right for that. The overprice of a Tesla makes zero sense to me, because it just isn't luxury at all. It's not even real leather it's vinyl seats. But that's just me. It's just unsafe also to be fiddling around with their iPad when you can use dedicated buttons
Very nice video. You hit a lot of the important points as well as how you articulate it. Although I kept thinking that you look like Jimmy from Shameless lol. Nice job!
All of this stuff you mentioned is great information, but there is one area you really didn't cover. The difference between the Computer Systems. I like how Tesla shows you the road and all the cars around you while you're driving. Does the Lyriq do that too? I like that Tesla has a lot of cameras all around the vehicle, does the Cadillac have all those cameras too? I would like to know more on the differences of the Computer Systems/Technology of the cars, not just the differences of the way they look, drive, and feel.
Yes that is cool on the Tesla for sure. Think about it though.....you need to look at the computer screen to see what is right in front of your eyes? Meaning do you need to look over and down to see what you could if you looked up and out of the window? Also when using self driving I don't want to keep my hand on the wheel that defeats the purpose. I might as well drive it myself if I have to hover in a driving position. Still we have choices and none are wrong when we are spending our own money.
There are new 2023 Lyriqs on dealer lots still, over 400 days at the dealer. It is a very nice car but clearly the dealers can't get rid of them. In the meantime, Tesla is selling Model Y like Starbucks sells latte. Delivery day at Seattle Tesla was insane, the place was busy with people picking up their Tesla. You can't compare any EV without discussing the charging net work. Tesla's software is generations ahead of any other manufacturer.
I think he meant comparable but even then it doesn't seem logical. They are within what 20 miles estimate of each other and GM seems much more accurate in their estimated range test.
My Lyric is in the shop for the 2nd time in 6 months for complete electrical shutdown requiring it to be towed from my garage. Never had a problem with my Tesla.
Comparing the Cadillac Lyriq to Tesla is somewhat insulting 😊. The Lyriq is light years ahead in terms of quality, built and luxury. I had the Y and everything squeaks and rattles.
I will start this by saying I am not a fan of EV's. That being said, I work for a Cadillac dealership and drive a Lyriq every day. The in town range I am seeing is in the 350-375 range and I have checked that against actual mile driven and it is very accurate. I have driven very little at highway speeds but the little I have the range would definitely be less according what I have seen on the indicated draw. I have been presently surprised about how much I have enjoyed driving the Lyriq compared to the Escalades i was driving previously. I still think EV's are a long way away from being ready for long distance, over the road trips but around town, I really do think they are ideal.
@@703Speed There is a reason that the Escalade is classified as a truck. It rides more like a truck than a car although the last gen of Escalade is better.
So you got the rear drive of the Lyriq is the all-wheel-drive the all-wheel-drive is 500 hp. The rear drive is only 325 need that car and the lyric in the Tesla does not compare to each other. They are not equal cars and you know that.
No need to compare dude! Lyriq is the epitome of supreme luxury which is unbeatable by the shabby and boring exterior design of Tesla! The plain empty interior in that Tesla to the spaceship interior of the Lyriq! Tesla owners step aside please! It is Cadillac unrivaled luxury.
Tesla has ugly design ,the interior and exterior of Cadillac looks luxury, when i sit in a Tesla I feel like I’m sitting in a desk it’s empty from inside 😅 not luxury enough
I will never buy a GM product. I spent 60k on a Chevy Silverado only to get noisy and slipping differential at 20k miles. Plus everyone I’ve ridden in feels like a big boat. Took it back and went German. German know how to build cars. I’m curious about EV’s. It only made sense to go with the company with most EV experience and Supercharging infrastructure. I probably would of chosen a Cadillac if they wouldn’t of abandoned there EV research back in the day. But they did and now they have to play catch up.
My Y has FSD - Full Self Driving. Just plug in a destination in my screen and away it goes. You do have to touch the steering wheel occasionally. I don't believe the Lyriq has FSD capabilities. Please clarify that to your audience. Meaning that my Y will transport me to the exact address/destination, not just highway driving.
“Full self driving”, yea right, we’ve seen the videos of people curbing their Teslas and putting other’s lives at risk with this faulty software that really shouldn’t be allowed on the roads
Its a shame your camera person didnt tell you you have something white on your facial hair. camera person gotta be a bit better at pointing that out. Overall great video filled with much needed info on the two EVs
1. Once you set your mirrors in the Tesla, it remembers your settings automatically, so you never have to set them again. 2. If you put the Tesla in park, the passenger doors automatically unlock. If you are in drive, the doors automatically lock. This is exactly what you want because as you are driving, you don't want to allow a carjacker to access your car at a stop light. 3. The Model Y battery is 26KW smaller than the Lyriq, and the Model Y has more range. It costs 26% less to charge the Model Y, which is significantly less than the Lyriq. 4. The Model Y will beat the Lyriq at any speed. 5. The GPS system on the Lyriq is pathetic compared to the Model Y, and you don't even mention it. 6. The Model Y has the Tesla supercharger network to charge on when traveling. It's the most extensive charging network on the planet, and you don't even mention this fact Before you review a car, do your homework. You obviously don't even understand basic functions on the Model Y. Your review really is quite pathetic.
He doesn’t know that you can use voice commands to do what you want you want in a Tesla or that the sun can really heat the car up in the summer months
The testla shows you the cars around you and monitors them. You dont see that on the caddy. Also model y is 47 thousand, on the caddy you have to go to high trim levels to get super cruise wear it will drive like a plane testla without fsd. My toyota and all toyotas have lane tracing and drive themselves, caddy does not unless you get over 65 thousand dollars for level 2 or 3 or sport trim. They are not saying that. Without super cruise, you have to drive the car like a 1970. Yes lots of fancy lights but not self drive tech that comes in all toyotas free or the model y testla. The sport is 72 to 78 thousand the testla y is 47. Do the math. Also far better software in testla. This guy didnt even say you can use voice commands. All he had to say is inlock passanger door. No screen touching needed for anything
I would always against tesla since I saw them coz they were ugly looking , 300 miles range combined with their pricing . It was a POS until 2022 , when most brands started adding evs . Now , tesla look normal , offer more range than other brands at lower prices with improved charging speeds . Tesla is way more better now than other brands now 💀💀💀💀💀
Well, I am a Porsche guy, but I also have a Subaru suv for our electric car. I have Tesla Y because the software is better. And I really like the idea of having a basic car without all the clutter of knobs everywhere. I really like it being open and free and just one laptop in the center. I know a lot of people don't like that, and if you're a car enthusiast, you do not get a Tesla, but I am really loving the Tesla, it's fun to drive. It's quiet and it's real, clean and basic. Plus the price is better. If you really wantna talk cars, then we could talk about my Porsche GTS 992. Respectfully fuck the electric caddy and Tesla. But yes, I do own a Tesla. It's the sheep in me.
No offence but if your going to test the cadilac against a Tesla. It should be the S not the Y. The S was ment to be luxury. The Y was not, even though it gets categorized as luxury.
Cadillac starting 58k vs Tesla 45k(dealer inventory just like the lyric) for the one you tested, additionally the person testing keeps comparing super cruise to full self driving...its not the same. Super cruise is closer to the tesla enhanced autopilot $6000 option. Super cruise will never be at FSD level of driving...it will never navigate city streets like FSD. Also tesla will be way easier to charge vs Cadlilac lyric.
@johnroberts9922 doesnt Supercruise only drive on highways in restricted areas... .. while fsd can drive on city streets any where in the usa and highways anywhere in the usa?

"Very well put together". A phrase you'll never hear from a Tesla owner. Also, every comparison review with a Tesla Model Y or 3 should start with the auto wipers.
When considering the cost of an EV, remember that it can vary greatly depending on whether you're buying or leasing. Tesla's fixed pricing means that a lease on a $45K Tesla Long Range can end up costing more per month than a $75K Cadillac Lyriq. So, if you plan to lease instead of buy, don't just focus on the MSRP. Take a closer look at which brands offer the best lease deals.
Why didn’t you get the sport 2 or 3 where the back seats are powered and defy driving as well 😂? Tell Musk we are hitting him in the pockets. Most GM owners aren’t using his charging stations either 😂😂
Pouch cells are dangerous. Thankfully, GM is moving away from them. We do not want another Chevy Bolt fire disaster. Some parking garages still do not allow Bolts. "One of the key factors that contributed to the strain in the relationship between GM and LG Energy Solution is GM’s decision to switch from prismatic (pouch) battery cells to cylindrical battery cells in their future electric cars." Pouch format cells burst open at very low pressures (∼50 psi) and when the liquid electrolyte and vapors fall on the hot surface of the pouch, they ignite and experience a fire.
Technically every car is at risk of catching fire. Even with the old battery packs are 5x less likely to catch fire than an internal combustion engine.
Door handles. I guess you aren't familiar with classic cars, like a '67 Mustang for example. It is simplicity itself to push the big square on the Model Y (it was a button on the Mustang) with the thumb of your hand that matches the side of the car (left hand for driver's side (left side) and right hand for the passenger side (right side)) with the other four fingers wrapping around the handle. Then pull. Viola! The door is open. The Lyric is nice but with Bidenflation continuing to burden us, I think the overall best economic choice is the Model Y.

👍🏻👍🏻 Money not taken into consideration. The Cadillac takes it on looks alone.⚡
Definitely the caddy. I don't think I would like the idea of having to use the screen for everything.
It's goofy to want to talk to your vehicle. Lol.
Took delivery of a 2024 Lyriq Sport 3 AWD just 2 weeks ago. It is an incredible SUV.
How's the charging experience?
@@Jesse-lr8tr Wife drives about 500 miles a month tops. We use a home 250w charger. Will charge it overnight easily. We do not use charging stations but there is 1 at the gas station next to our house as well.
I really enjoyed your review, well done! I just bought the Tesla Model 3 and my neighbor just bought the Cad Lyriq. The Tesla has more tech and range, the Cad is better quality. I chose the Tesla for range and self drive, my neighbor the Cad for driving clients around. Both choices make sense, we are both happy.
You make a great point! I’m glad you liked the video
That’s a lie!! Tesla doesn’t have more range. Check out the EV range tests, Tesla cars never reached to their proclaimed range
Camera man was a big help!

@@davidmenasco5743 that Cadillac is for town, Tesla's are for everyone across the country, plus, FSD is worth of another car itself.
@@George_Shonia True. And my Lyriq is far superior to my Model Y. Both can be true.
The highest sport trim is really sexy in the lyric.
I don't like Ev vehicles, but I would choose the Cadillac, becouse everybody wants Tesla and I wonna be original. Great review as always. Greetings
Right on!
Have you driven an ev? Try it you might change your mind
I always wonder what makes a person hate a propulsion system. To each their own but I can wrap my head around it.
I live in Arizona and have the Model Y. The glass roof although tinted will still heat up the car considerably in the summer. I have a sunshade that I will put on the roof during the hotter months to help.
I had a feeling it would still do that
While I love tech, I really appreciate old-school controls in my cars.
Thank you
Cadillac all day. The Tesla's styling is about a current as an iPhone 6 and has about as much character.
Thank you!
No door handles in the 80's were aerodynamically flush. Christ.

( favorite line of the video "I Will Get On It . . WHY NOT" )
Haha thank you
This doesn’t seem to be widely known, but if you want more traditional EV like acceleration with your Lyriq you can add the velocity max feature which boosts torque by 74”b-ft and remaps the way the power comes on in the Lyriq, which you noted is more like a traditional luxury car V-8 in the Lyriq.
The Velocity max feature does cut about 0.4 seconds off 0-60 time.
love cadiilac

This video compares a luxury car to a non and it's laughable. Very bias review in my opinion. Every thing he didn't like about the tesla is dang easy to navigate and takes seconds.
Ur right the Tesla is too minimalistic
Loved the video! What about cabin sound? I had heard that the Lyriq has an annoying humming sound. Did you notice that?
I didn’t notice that myself
The humming sound is the sound when the car goes less than 25 mph. It’s not really annoying but you can hear it when driving slow thru a parking lot or approaching a stop sign etc.
I have no allegiance to either of these brands but these two vehicles aren't really comparable. The Lyriq is on another level in comfort and finish.
If the charging network was the same for both, which would be in your driveway?
I charge my Lyriq at home whilst I sleep.
I'll be damned if I'll be waiting in line with people for 30 minutes a pop.
I DON'T DO ANY ROAD TRIPS. My Lyriq is my NYC daily cruiser.
If I did Road Trips, I'd use a Chrysler Pacifica Minivan or my Jeep SRT.
@@PassportBrosBusinessClassAnd I've enjoyed your videos too!
Thank you for the review and comparison. Cadillac. ❤
Comparing a car from the company that was established 100+ years go vs 20
Tesla hasn't updated its design language since inception. Getting tiresome. They were once the leader but everyone else has caught up or excelled
I go for the Lyric
The Lyriq is way nicer looking to me, Teslas are just NPC cars and look like fat eggs/jelly beans with a horrid interior (I've driven a Model S)
The Lyriq seems more practical and the interior feels like a car

Fun review. Wish it reviewed more of the actual ride. Trying to figure out what my first EV will be. This one is top 3 so far.

The Lyriq is looking good thank god they kept physical buttons for climate control. Cadillac have almost convinced me to go electric ⚡️
The best standard feature of the Cadillac Lyric besides luxury, is no connection to elon.

In 5 years or so will you be able to get a compatible battery pack with the caddy
What do you mean?
Since the rebirth of EVs we have been told that the battery packs would need to be replaced. Never seen that yet.
I think he meant comparable but even then it doesn't seem logical. They are within what 20 miles estimate of each other and GM seems much more accurate in their estimated range test.
I love my new Lyriq.

Do you prefer driving the Lyriq for its size and acceleration over the Escalade? Or why do you prefer it over the Escalade?

But they did and now they have to play catch up.

that is why Cadillac is more expensive than model Y.
fair comparison will be between model X & that Cadillac
By the way, IMO - the Model X would edge the Caddy.
Not for the fit or finish and not for the money asked for an X
I have a Model Y and next will be a Lyriq.
Its a shame your camera person didnt tell you you have something white on your facial hair. camera person gotta be a bit better at pointing that out. Overall great video filled with much needed info on the two EVs
Shouldn't you compare Lyriq vs Model X?
It's the most extensive charging network on the planet, and you don't even mention this fact
Before you review a car, do your homework. You obviously don't even understand basic functions on the Model Y. Your review really is quite pathetic.
Model y is like 1/2 inch higher than a camry so not an suv. Its a bulbus hatchback

GREAT review! Lyric for me. Tesla’s are a dime a dozen

This comparison doesn't make sense. It should be the Lyriq vs. The model X
Remember the Escalade IQ is coming.
I would always against tesla since I saw them coz they were ugly looking , 300 miles range combined with their pricing . It was a POS until 2022 , when most brands started adding evs . Now , tesla look normal , offer more range than other brands at lower prices with improved charging speeds . Tesla is way more better now than other brands now 💀💀💀💀💀
Tesla lies about its range. Anyone knows that.

"Very well put together". A phrase you'll never hear from a Tesla owner. Also, every comparison review with a Tesla Model Y or 3 should start with the auto wipers.
Minimalist design is such a turnoff for me
With Tesla, all you get is an iPad on Wheels. NO THANK YOU!
Hmm $40k car vs $80k car
The difference is that Cadillac was made by car makers while Tesla is made by data engineers
Tesla looks like a bar of Dove soap compared to that lyriq
Tesla seems to be going the way of the VW Beatle, keep the same body style forever.

I like the Cadillac. I would consider it if it was a hybrid.
Pouch cells are dangerous. Thankfully, GM is moving away from them. We do not want another Chevy Bolt fire disaster. Some parking garages still do not allow Bolts.
"One of the key factors that contributed to the strain in the relationship between GM and LG Energy Solution is GM’s decision to switch from prismatic (pouch) battery cells to cylindrical battery cells in their future electric cars." Pouch
format cells burst open at very low pressures (∼50 psi) and when the
liquid electrolyte and vapors fall on the hot surface of the pouch,
they ignite and experience a fire.
Great to know.. Thank you.. Learn something new everyday
