While Tesla has the charging network I have to say the Lyriq has all the other attractions. The Tesla interior is basically a tablet and nothing else. I’d have to get the Cadillac based on interior alone. I’ve sat in both and the impressions couldn’t be more different.
Same. You can tell Tesla needs a cash infusion by them opening up the charging network to other brands. It takes away the main advantage Tesla has in the market.
@@henryprice5716 : With Ford and Rivian already having access and GM and several others very, very close to having access, the one major advantage Tesla has had goes away, then it comes down to the vehicle itself. This is where I think the market will suddenly get very interesting. Choice is good and hopefully will make all brands better as they truly compete.
What a fantastic, straight-forward video. I really appreciate the back-and-forth discussion. As I'm shopping for my first EV, this is probably the most informative comparison video I've seen between a Tesla and a top-quality non-Tesla EV.
It’s hard to compare the Lyriq with any Tesla but the Model X. The Lyriq is objectively better, but Tesla’s advantage is the supercharger network. Also, Model X has a 3rd row. Until the Cadillac Vistiq launches, Tesla has the advantage. The Lyriq is more luxurious and so is the OPTIQ. Tesla’s interiors are too plain for the price they demand.
Thanks for viewing my video and commenting. The video is a comparison of two EV’s we have. All the information is our own personal experiences and thoughts. The supercharger network of Tesla is a significant advantage over Lyriq charging. Also the Tesla app is far superior to the Cadillac app which is not very useful at all. Tesla has many cameras all over the vehicle any of which can be viewed and downloaded, the Lyriq has a backup camera and birdseye view neither of which can be saved or downloaded. The Lyriq is $20,000 more than my Tesla so I would expect it to be more luxurious. Again, just our personal opinions and observations.
I have Lyrisport and I wouldn't own a Tesla based on the average person has one; Everyone has one. My brother had his first ride in my Lyrisport and he described it as an airplane on air... Not my first Caddi and the app is more useful than the viewer explains. Give it 60 days and you'll be amazed at this Ezv
Everyone has to do their own research related to charging. I can not charge at home as I rent, but I have EVgo fast charging very near my home so I charge for free whenever I buy groceries, that $3500 savings for me as compared to ICE (and around $1500 as compared to ICE). Without this option, I will not have bought EV. Plus, now you can charge Lyriq at superchargers too.
The electronic motor components being up front like that makes it easier for a mechanic to work on. Look at what all they have to remove on a Tesla to get to things. It's a lot of videos on here of it.

That Tesla looks like a used bar of soap compared to the Cadillac.

I bought a 2024 Lyriq AWD Lux3. Very nice vehicle, just wish it had the HUD and a Sentry Mode.

I agree with ALL OF THIS!!! The Lyriq has PERSONALITY!!!!

I am looking at both of these vehicles and this video helped so much! Thank you!

For Cadillac to be coming out late in the game, they have way passed Tesla’s in style, no comparison.
Tesla vehicle interior looks like it cost 6 dollars. Who would buy this vehicle with such a cheap interior?
The interior in your Lyriq appears to be ultraleather and not leather as you stated.
I work at cadillac and this was helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Tax credits are not handled by Tesla, as they are with the Cadillac dealer.

There is no maintenance on a Tesla or need to "get to things". Change wiper blades and washer fluid, tire wear...that's it.
It’s a motor, not an engine.
