I will never be able to understand how so many people drive down the highway totally oblivious to what's going on behind them and around them. I have been driving for over 50 years and not once have I ever had an emergency vehicle get up behind me without me seeing it long before it gets there. You are supposed to constantly have your eyes roaming and watching everything when you drive & if you don't have that ability you probably shouldn't be driving...
Good luck getting out of the way of 50 police vehicles doing almost double the speed limit coming down both shoulders. Where are you supposed to move to? Can't really pull over to the right when they are passing on the right and the left.
Florida drivers are some of the worst on the road if not the worst in the nation. A lack of consistent traffic enforcement is to blame. I live here, I know.
Right erwin? Police, State Troopers, Sheriff's Department, Motorcycle cops and K9 units over a stolen van. It makes sense though when Miami sent like 100 units over kids fighting and fireworks. Lol
they brought far more units than were needed for this.. it seemed that everyone on shift in every department wanted a piece! Even a plain clothes dude showed up in the brawl at the end. I started to worry that that many ground units in a chase was going to increase the hazard.. cops weaving through traffic and passing people on both sides, using both shoulders.. more opportunities for cops to hit civilian traffic or even to wreck each other.
Clarification- The van may have been repoted stolen, however, that wasn't the reason for the pursuit. Many department puruit policies stricly prohibit vehicle pursuits for anything other than 'forcible felonies.' The reason for justificaton of this pursuit was as the driver was fleeing a shoplifting from the Kohl's store in the City of Homestead. (11/9/23) he alledgedly rammed a responding Homestead Police car. Now you have a battery on a police officer.
Florida Highway patrol has recently changed their pursuit policies, they will now pursuit and pit you for any attempt to flee weather it's a felony stop or not.
That was an incredible pit in traffic and no civilian vehicles damaged. FHP is up there with Arkansas for "we're going to get you at all costs". Love it. Go FHP!

There were multiple agencies there; M-D PD, M-D Priority Response Team, FHP, M-D Sheriff's Dept, Homestead PD, and a grey haired guy wearing a green shirt looking to kick someone's ass. What other agencies did I miss??? What did these guys do? Was Taylor Swift in that van???? Total chaos.
From what I heard, the cops don't like using the grappler at high speeds, because locking up one rear wheel on the fleeing vehicle will cause the suspect vehicle to veer off to one side or the other, depending on which rear wheel is captured by the grappler. At the speeds that van was going, that would have caused a bad wreck and the cop car would have been pulled into the wreck by the grappler strap. Plus, multiple civilians could have been involved on a busy freeway like the one in the video.
DAMN! That dashcam footage of that chase had me holding my breath and puckering my cheeks, that was some scary driving. You not only are trying to keep up with the perps, you have to worry about some civilian making a dumb move and colliding with them.

A gripping display of law enforcement in action! This video highlights the importance of staying calm and focused in chaotic situations, which is crucial for ensuring public safety during high-speed chases.
The panic on the face of the passenger in the dark shirt was hilarious. He thought he was about to die.
who knew that you could have so much fun for $19.99 per hour.
Per day
Lol
😂
Thats probably rookie salary. The average cop earns more then that
@@midnightrunners1470 Agreed! $35 for me!!!
I have no idea how those guys can concentrate on driving in a high stress situation with the dog barking full blast in his ear!
I know right? So annoying and distracting
Training & Experience. I assume they get used to it & focus on job at hand.
I know with sirens going, dog barking, communicating on radio & then driving.... I couldn't do it.
Train train train 😅
Das mit dem Hund weg ignorieren geht...
That’s what they train for for it’s there job! We are lucky people risk their lives like that
And... it's them again
That's not true, it isn't always them, they just all look alike 🤣
YEP....no surprise there !!

That’s a lot of police. Bit over kill. “911 what’s your emergency?” “Um yeah I have been robbed!” “ oh I’m sorry all officers are chasing a van, just hold tight they will be there in 2 hours.”
Scooper you're the best!! Thank you!!
Love how he keeps trying to get away even when he crashes.

The dog vacillating between barking and yelping is adorable. What a wild way to work.
Man you men are awesome ,you in very good shape and of course handsome. Bless you and be safe out there
18:55 Seven people cleared that front cab. 🤣 Talk about hyped up.
They need the grappler device....I don't know why its not issued to more police agencies.
Believe it or not, many cops are never involved in a chase. It's rare for an individual officer.
OMG!!! The gouges in that fresh asphalt!! That will have to be milled down and paved again….that’s top coat.
Maybe he's trying to get the rental back before being charged another day?
Talk about yellow jackets! Good job law enforcement!
DAMN!
That dashcam footage of that chase had me holding my breath and puckering my cheeks, that was some scary driving. You not only are trying to keep up with the perps, you have to worry about some civilian making a dumb move and colliding with them.
UPDATE: Hey everyone, I've heard your feedback, and I apologize for assuming you were already aware of the news about this incident. For details, please check the arrest affidavit narrative in the description. Thank you for your understanding and support.
What are the details? I haven’t heard about it.
Who is the owner of the van going to sue for the damages to the van?
@@James-to7pi Rain?
Why do you allow all of the openly racist comments to sit there unchallenged? Do you not bother to read them?
Thanks for the content but you really shouldn't assume that everyone knows the details. You do know that people from all over the country watch these types of videos? An incident that is a big deal in Florida may not even have been heard about in Illinois or Colorado. jmo
I can imagine what adrenaline rush. The officers have now that the chase is over.
Police officers are highly skilled drivers.
9:00 could swear I heard the dog say ‘I see it!’
Trooper dog is so excited!!!
It's always the same old thing, same old people.
That van was chock full of nuts!
Here ya' go UHaul - here's your van back.
Cute girl on the van's advertisement makes the whole thing worthwhile 😂
At 19:53 it became clear why they needed a U-Haul truck.
U got half the hood in da back
A 3/4 ton.
WOW!! I thought it was just the driver and passenger in the van but it looks like they pulled out a couple of more.
They good kids, it’s all a big misunderstanding, daddy left when they were young , the gluten sensitivity was out of control. Good kids.
God bless you and keep you safe 🙏

I know, I know, they ran because they were scared.
takes a lot of hubris to think you can escape after crashing onto a wall, losing a front tire and then reversing away from 50 cops on your dumb butt.
In this case, hubris=ignorance.
😊 it takes a real cerebral individual to correctly use hubris. Great job Gary❤

I love how the K9 is ready to go as soon as he hears the sirens. There is no waiting around until he is told to go.
Cops….Hey U-Haul we got your van back🤣
Damn ! I woulda never guessed who was driving, what a surprise.
Amazing team work, race car driver's in disguise! 🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🐶🦊
Was anyone else surprised by the demographic of the criminals?
They've earned another spot inside our fabulous gated communities! Jail!
you watch a channel which only shows black crimes to get more views ... so racists can make racist comments on how blacks are the only one getting in police chases.....shocking
And then the libs complain that the majority of the prison inmates are black, even though they're only about 13% of the US population. Cops and courts don't choose who does the crimes, do they?
Do the demographics on trunk driving deaths
@@scoogemia6955 what do you mean? If you're talking about fatalities from drunk drivers, Latinos are in the lead in that.
As soon as the sirens came on, that dog wanted in on the action. He knew what was coming.
