    After a lot of shopping around & reading reviews, etc., I bought this exact bike (same color finish) - put in a fender eliminator kit, Akropovik can, small windscreen, tank protector stick-ons, and Z900 Sliders..... and WOW.... everywhere I ride it’s instant respect.
    But more importantly.... this bike is a total blast to ride !! After purchase plus the upgrades, it cost me $10,775..... waaaaaaayyyyy under what my buds paid for their 1000 cc Nakeds - absolutely NO REGRETS !

    • @LiveFEEDNow
      @LiveFEEDNow  5 лет назад +1

      Yes and that's the whole point. Kawasaki is not trying to beat anyone. They just do "their own thing" and you can get Z900 cheap but you'll have one of the best bikes (if not the best) in terms of the value and performance.

    Z900RS has USD forks with radial calipers, which should have been on the Z900 (instead of the Z800 forks). The Ninja 1000, Ninja 650 both got nice instrument displays, which also should have been on the Z900. The suspension I found to be pretty choppy over road cracks and heaves, without anything happening spinning the damping screws. Plan on upgrades (the sad reality to anything sub 12 grand). Stock tires were okay, but reports are when it's raining, they are plastic.
    Seat was scalloped for short legs. I have 35" inseam. I would have added 2" seat foam just to be comfortable. Headlight is garbage, especially at night. No real complaints outside of these things. Maybe the engine could have used a bit more spice, even though power was quite adequate.

    One thing I must dispute...The stock Dunlop d214 tires are shit. They slip in warm dry conditions let alone wet. I changed mine with most the the tread still on the tires and I'm the type to run them down to the cords.

    • @LiveFEEDNow
      @LiveFEEDNow  5 лет назад

      Did you get your bike brand new? Always check how old they are because it might be the reason you've had a bad experience on stock tires.

    • @blipco5
      @blipco5 5 лет назад

      Live Media...Yes, brand new. May on the z900 owners group website had the same problem. In fact there were many early reviews that showed them slipping by expert reviewers. Some slipped a little. One guy nearly went over a guardrail. LOL. They're bad tires. Mine slipped when I wasn't even pushing that hard in the corners. They're not made by Dunlop themselves, they're made by somebody else under license from Dunlop. Bad move by Dunlop IMO as I will never buy a Dunlop product ever again. Most guys on the site went with either the Conti RA3 or the Michelin Road 5. I went with the Conti Road Attack 3, best ST tire I have owned.

      Haha. It was not "that perfect sunny day in SoCal" but we still did some good shots. Thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe. We have new bikes in the production right now and you will see more reviews coming up to the channel in the next few weeks!

      Ha Daryl, we did the review for both bikes (below is the link) and both would be a good option. We do like the Kawa gas tank and the sitting position more but it's all comes down to weight/height.
