The Xebec is a well known Mediterranean ship known for everything from trading to combat, to being a favorite of Corsairs and Spanish and Turkish privateers. It was used for a time by the Spanish and French Navies, and the Italians created the Polacre (or Polacca) based off of it, the real major difference being the center or forward mast having a square rigging. These were fast and could carry good weaponry and men if needed, or be used as a trade and supply ship. One of the reasons privateers, corsairs, and Barbary Pirates liked them so much was because they could have guns, speed, and maneuverability all while being able to switch to oars if needed like a galley to sneak up on becalmed ships or move downwind. These are one of my favorite historical ships.
Hi, as you mentioned, xebec is a very Mediterranean ship, but you haven't mentioned that it is almost an established historical fact that it has been designrd and created in early 17th Algiers, which was the major barbary city in terms of "la guerre de course" or corsaing (not pirates as you described them, for there is a clear legal distinction between the two). The world xebec is the english counterpart of French chebec or Spanish jebeque (not sure of the Spanish though), which are derived from the Arabic شباك (shabec) which means "net". The Spaniards were the first to adopt the xebec design to counter barbary corsairs by their own weapon, then it spread to other entities such as the knights of Malta, Italian states, France, England, Denmark, Russia and even the US. Wondering what do you mean by Turkish Privateers!, and what the distinction from Barbary corsairs? Thanks
Clearly you don't know anything about the history of the ship, seeing as though many Royal Navies used it with pride, Including the Spanish, French, and to an extent, the Italians. The only thing that makes it look grand and "Gentlemanly" despite the fact that there are very few, if any, "Gentlemen" at sea, is the physical decor and paint. A "Gentlemanly" ship of the line or flagship is slow, boorish, weighs too much, and in most cases, had circles ran around them by these, and that's what mattered.

What s your suggestion for configuration of fast and strong Le requin ?
Corronades are better for the ship, because its agility allows to use it in a close combat. It destroys 6 raiters with just a few salvos.
Cacafueco in "The firth command",O'Brian novel i suppose
Snow has most Guns in rate 6 ships!
rattlesnake heavy has best side armor and HP in rate 6 ship
pickle is best rate 7 ship,
It's a seal clubbing ship, not a gentleman's ship at all.
+Orl Cal I’d say it depends on the captain sailing it.

I wish they had removed this ship from the game.
Why? Its a nice ship...besides being beautiful.
Why, because you don't like it?
What a fuck this ship doing in Naval action?
