WOW!!!! Breathtaking… I’ve never seen anything like that before. Never thought they’d be working at night walking on very narrow beams 1,400 ft in the sky!
Seriously, the work you guys do scares the hell out of me even on a “normal” building, but I can’t imagine what it has to feel like walking those narrow beams on top of a massive skyscraper, and AT NIGHT no less. I have massive respect for construction workers, you all have nerves I can’t begin to understand lol
Absolutely…after many laborers fell to their death while working the Verrazano Bridge, the owners still refused to employ netting…until the unions walked off the job.
And when I thought I had seen it all I found this channel and now I am really impressed with the work that this metal workers do. I have been watching videos all day. It is really amazing what they do at heights.
@ i really like it and hope. You have a great new year as well God bless you all whom. Work in your protect doing the constructions and. Video editing God will give safe. You doing your risk job. Happy new year. 2025
Are they behind schedule on this build? Is that why they have people working at night? What kind of shift differential are these workers getting for working at night?
I don’t know how far along it is on the inside, but the outside is coming along pretty well from what I’ve seen walking by. They have a goal of getting it finished and ready to move in sometime next year. My office is just a couple blocks away and I pass by it every day, and they are out there working on it pretty much 24/7.
I never understood why we praise morons that play with basketballs or footballs or actors while people like this actually make a tangible difference in this world. So much respect for these real men out there.
LOL....do you really think that these union entitled workers are "real men"? and what are they sacrificing? They are getting paid real money for this type of work...if you really want to praise someone the real heroes are teachers and people in the military.....everyone else (including myself who is not a teacher or veteran) we get paid for our services....
Iron worker working at night is absolutely insane, shadows, blinding by lights and a crane operator who is probably 20 mts away from then who probably could spot a problem in daylight but not a hope at night
I have seen the raising gang bring up iron and shake it out in the dark, but I have never seen connectors working in the dark with lights on their hard hats. There must be a hard completion date for the iron with an early finish bonus. That tower crane is the only one provided with sleeping quarters. That Local 14 Operating Engineer is knocking down a big paycheck. He must be the BA’s brother in law.
Why are they working through the night? Does Chase want the building done literally "overnight"?? I thought most construction workers were unionized...
Just as incredible are the Drafters who detail 1 million parts for fabrication to 1/16th precision. Calculated to the last bolt and the weight of each welding bead... Jus sayin'
I know there are more people below them...but this video makes it look like a two man small contractor is basically putting up this massive skyscraper.

It’s satisfying to hear these gentleman get that acknowledgment. Thank you
I wonder how the workers fared during the earthquake? Awesome job @9MileProduction, this is just gorgeous.
Amazing iron workers. The fact they are doing this at night is incredible!
WOW!!!! Breathtaking… I’ve never seen anything like that before. Never thought they’d be working at night walking on very narrow beams 1,400 ft in the sky!

You guys have balls of STEEL!!! I am a construction worker and I salute you!!
Thanks for viewing!

Even with fall protection their job is unbelievably frightening. Imagine doing that with no fall protection as they did not so many years ago.

Эти чуваки должны зарабатывать очень - очень много... Я хочу 1000$ только за то, что смотрю на этот ужас...🥺

Kudos to the guys.
From NY and I must say I do miss it a lot sometimes ! I worked for Coke Local 812 ! My route was in the Bronx and lower Westchester :)
Great footage. My only worry is they are looking at the drone and not concentrating on their foot placement
Long Live THE IRON WORKERS UNION

Wondering what drone was used to capture this epic video.
Epic footage.
Yes!
Another beautiful job of filming! What drone are you using?

what an amazing video.
What are the H&S incident ratios when comparing daytime and nightime working?

Theres no way they're behind schedule. This building went up incredibly fast

Americans do take too much for granted. They don't realize those who sacrificed for what we have today only the end result.

These dudes know what they doing…and it shows
I was at top of summit one Vanderbilt and I’m surprised seeing from there that this building was already taller unfinished in November 2023
You got a real good look from Vanderbilt!
Why working at night? Is it just for a quicker construction time?
For a winter night that was mild and hardly a lick of wind…perfect for raising iron
Epic!
Must have been a lot of permits and Red tape to go through to be able to even fly a drone that high. Not to mention the logistics. Well done.
What a legend
where people apply for this type of work ? and I'm afraid of highs , do i qualify ?
No place for a nervous person

fantastic !!
Glad you enjoyed
I would never go up there lol
Working at night in that hazardous job is INSANE. Hope they get triple time.

Was this video made by drone?
Affirmative

Apparently wage is 24 Dollars an hour .??
I wonder why they're working at night? It seems like it would be awfully dangerous.
Take twice as long to be built. It would be like 20 years nstead of 10.

A shame the repubs fight unions so much.
But we need more women in jobs like this. Not just walking around in Stiletto crying boss B****.
