“There was never a Stark who forgot a promise” until Sansa
That would be a hilarious edit, I swear and cuts strait to her breaking the promise
...and Robb
@@philinn1703 show Robb is so selfish, he led his men to die because he loves a whore
@@philinn1703in robbs defense I'm pretty sure he never actually promised to marry the frey girl himself.... it was cat that did on his behalf.
@@jakarhess7129Yet Robb agreed to the terms, crossed Walder’s bridge, and got Walder Frey’s army on the promise he would marry a Frey girl.
Breaking that oath cost him a fifth of his army and later his life.
Ned Stark Kept that secret his entire life. He kept that secret even though his wife thought he had cheated with another woman. Sansa couldn't keep that secret over the weekend.😂😂😂
She couldn't even keep it a few hours.
None of them could
It's meant to be that way. It's meant to show she shows more of her mother's traits than her father's. Her mother would've told as well.
@@shilo2972 I don't think her mother would have told. That information would have gotten Ned killed. Catherine wouldn't have wanted that. Plus if she had known, She probably would have accepted John and not hated him as much.
@@davidpehrson3707 That’s the whole reason Ned never told Cat. He thinks (and was the main character of season 1 therefore we think) that she would have told. She would have made decisions based on Jon’s heritage, which wouldnt have kept the Starks safe.
Sansa is a prime example of why Ned never told Cat about Jon's identity. Cat would have done the same thing Sansa did. Like mother like daughter 😑
Fake Starks
@@Team_Monty Yeah, they're definitely fake and entitled in my opinion. They welcomed everyone to Winterfell only when it benefited them, then Sansa had the audacity to try and bully Dany by demanding independence.
@@OreoCookie324 Proud to be 🙃🥲
What did Sansa do?
@@OreoCookie324how's that a stan? If someone came to your aid to help you and your subjects.. Ends up losing soo many soldiers and advisors.. If they can't give their allegiance even then. Then, they must be narcissistic and dumb.. If this was some other Targaryen they would have flown to Winterfell on their dragons and forced them to bend their knees or get burnt alive
20 seconds later Sansa tells Tyrian.
1 sec later 😂😂😂 ... This was damn betrayal man
I liked Daenerys too. But sorry, she had no right to ask Jon to keep his real identity secret just so she cold have the throne
@@rosita3528He didn't want the throne and as soon as he told one of her advisors started plotting her assassination. And at least she asked. Sansa told after promising not to.
I never said he wanted the throne. Jon had been treated as a bastard his whole life and finally found out he was more than that. Daenerys wanted him to keep up the Idea that he was a bastard just so she could have the throne. And even after he saved the 7 kingdoms by killing someone who wanted to burn them down, he was still sent back to the wall like a bastard and his true identity as the heir was hidden because Greyworm wasn't happy. I personally would have told Greyworm to piss off and remind him he had no say over Westeros
@@rosita3528she didn't ask him to keep the secret just to keep the throne, but because it would start another game of throne and she knew it. Everything they knew, everything they have around them, and the look in the eyes of everyone around them would change when the truth would be told... And she knew it perfectly. Moreover, Jon was not power hungry like his sister, and revealing the truth to the world would have attracted unwilling people and situation... Him being recognize as the true and legitimate son of Rhaegar and Lyanna wouldn't have created a loving family around him like he deserved, he would have been sad at the end if people learned the truth...
Moreover, Greyworm was too kind at the end : when you look at Unsullied and dothraki culture, asking to hide jon's true identity send him to the wall isn't the kind of logical thing they should have think about... 🤷🏻♀️
Daenerys murder should have start a war or at least a bloody fight from her army which she actually saved and didn't take by force...
But, in conclusion, everything is because of a poor writing, not one character acted like they would have normally in this season 🙄😑
Jon is the song of ice and fire. Targaryen and a Stark. Azhor ahai and the prince who was promised. Then writers smoke weed and went peepeepoopoo
😂😂😂
TRUTH 😆😂🤣
😂😂😂😂
I am pretty sure that was more crack induced than weed.
😂😂😂
Arya was so loyal and kept the secret and had Jon's back the whole time
And yet let Bran become king despite knowing it was Jon's birthright and then allowed him to be exiled while her siblings got the crowns and she got her freedom. Yes, she didn't break her vow like Sansa, yet her loyalty wasn't with Jon anymore. It was with Sansa and Bran.
@@jedimasters1462Bran became king yes but Arya coulden’t support Jon becoming king neither could Sansa/Bran for that matter because they had to compromise with the Unsullied on justice against Jon for killing Dany hence living at the wall.. Garbage ending tho Garbage that Arya ended the Night King despite having no history with him as well but that’s a whole other matter
@Zaneoo7 Except that Arya could have just taken Jon West with her. Or even used her oh so special training as a Faceless Man to kill Grey Worm. You know, that thing she can do, but hasn't since Season 7, Episode 1. That she could have used to spy on Littlefinger. She could have also used it to kill Daenerys instead of letting Jon do it, knowing it would be kinslaying and that he loved Daenerys.
@@jedimasters1462 nothing suggest jon wants to go west. Also she would need the face of someone important to danereys if she wanted to kill her
Ya....but Arya hated Danearys right after Danearys saved their frozen home! It made me dislike Arya. They shoulda made Danearys Queen without hesitation!
..
And seeing how fast Sansa broke her promise, this is why Ned never told Catelyn.
Because then she would have told the whole truth to Baelish that's why ned never tells the truth.
i just think not telling cat would make the lie more believable as cat would probably not have hated jon if she knew and it would look a bit suspicouse for cat to love her husbands bastard son
@@siediman I agree. Her mistreatment of Jon played a huge role in keeping his identity safe. And when you stop to think about it, it could have been so easy for someone like Littlefinger or Varys to figure it out during that time period. The war just ended, everyone believed that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna, and Ned shows back up with a baby from the South. Her reaction towards Jon was probably the best evidence one would have towards Ned's possible infidelity.
Catelyn would have another reason to hate Jon if she had known the truth. She would have blamed him for Brandon's death and Robert would not have hesitated to kill him. In the first book in her chapters she both hated and was jealous of any woman she believed to be Jon's mother cause it meant that she was second place in Ned's life. There had been a rumor that Jon's mother was Ashara Dayne, but since she had died before Catelyn met her she had no way of knowing for sure in terms of inherited physical traits. It killed her that her genes were stronger when she and Ned had kids until Arya was born with more Stark features. She was hard pressed on the mystery of 'the woman who loved Ned so much that she left nothing of herself when she gave him a son.'
@@jezeannwilliams1145 Book Catelyn is honestly a 'b!tch'. The show made her more sympathetic and likable enough, but the book version of her convinces me that she would have probably killed Jon if he had stayed at Winterfell. And seeing how logic isn't her strong suit, she definitely would have placed the blame on Jon for Brandon's death, who she has always wanted to marry over Ned aways. Which only makes me hate her more, considering she still yearns for Brandon yet is angered that Ned had a child with another woman (although untrue, since R+L=J).
Actually, since Ashara Dayne has been brought up, I'm a big fan of the theory that Brandon and Ashara were in love, while Ned was the one with one-sided feelings for Ashara. A love triangle of sorts, just minus anyone turning into Severus Snape. I even believe that Brandon possibly was going to call off the wedding to Catelyn in favor of marrying Ashara, but after what happened with Lyanna, he was forced to detour to King's Landing and we all know what happened from there.
My man was never a bastard... 😢 But still he smiled 😢
Yep, never a bastard but treated like one. And yet Daenerys wanted him to keep his true identity secret just so she could have the throne.
Whoever tf's idea it was that Bran just become and emotionless fkn weirdo and then decided he should become king needs to be fired
😂😂😂
Bran, for me, by far, was the most boring and useless character I ever saw in these last season
Ruined everything. They literally chose the most unlikeable character.
GRRM himself was the one who said Bran would be king
Bran became the useless exposition fairy. He didn't do much as the three eyed raven besides tell us things we either didn't really need to know, or things someone else found out without magic powers.
Honestly, he was more interesting just being a Warg in my opinion. Would've been cooler to see him develop that ability to help the others in the war despite being crippled. Just imagine if he'd controlled one of the dragons, even if it was only once.
It's very unsatisfying that these three got such a happy ending and Jon has to go into exile.
You people have a problem understanding that's what he wanted to do, he got a taste of that real freedom, and has no desire to rule or be ruled.
He was sent to die behind a wall where there was nothing. If you are sent to the North Pole, will you be happy about it?
@@user-uf9lz5wz4nif I have a damily like him I will go for north pole happily. I can't share a room with Sansa for a second.
@@josephsellers5978it wasn’t even that. He just wanted peace and a good ruler. Just because he didn’t want the throne doesn’t mean he wanted to be forced to leave or killed
I wish Sansaa died
I read this below and it is valid.....Sansa was the most like Kat. This is why Ned never told Kat the secret. She would have told someone....possibly her crazy sister Lysa. Sansa was possibly the first Stark to break an oath in who knows how long?
Kat would have given up the secret & throw Jon to the lions in exchange for her kids
@@Nenernener123 There is STILL a question as to how she would've treated him if she knew the truth. She admittedly felt guilty later....she tells Talisa this.
There has never lived a stark who forgot an oath. The only thing that could make that false was d and d making sense into a villain
Lmao, was the first since Robb did it to marry a different girl
Cat would have told *Lysa* ? What about Littlefinger?
Arya was the better sister by a mile
That's what they want you to think. This is more than a tv show. That whole Sansa/ Arya thing was about brainwashing the future women in society. They wanted you to hate the feminine woman and embrace the masculine Tom boy woman i.e. feminism
The one who doesn’t want it.. is the best one for it.
Tbh, Jon's reign would have been short asf. He'll do good things that'll get him killed like back at the wall. Daenerys was by far the better balance and better ruler choice for westeros. She just needs good advisors like Jon, tyrion etc. (Not Varys (not sure about that spelling))
Tbh Jon’s not politically smart he’s smart militant wise but not politically and in the script Sansa honestly was jealous of Jon being the king in season 7 which is why her attitude changed ever since season 6 happened because d&d wanted to make her like Cersei
He had enough self-respect to not want to be anything like the other players. The truly honorable avoid power because the atmosphere it breeds is not good for the soul. Those in power will often pretend to be honorable…..and the best pretender gets to the top. If one is the real deal, they will quickly be disgusted by the dishonesty and bow out like the Jon Snow character did. Many didn’t like the ending of this show, but it was an astute representation of tragic nature of leadership in the real world, not a Disney movie.
Ok David, we should cut the scene as soon as they think they'll get their reaction, we need shock value
Jesus Dan you've been on fire ever since you suggested we kill Blackfish offscreen. Now let's talk about who kills the Night King. I'm thinking Bran, 'cause that'd be pretty random. Can you think of anyone else even more random than that?
@@alec6583 Would have been epic if the face tree would have swallowed the nightking.
"I dun want it." - Jon Snow
So inspiring. Jon gives me the courage to give up on my destiny.
For me, watching Sansa tell that secret watch a kick to the teeth. Very unlike a Stark to break that vow. Ned never told Kat!
Sansa was always selfish and always did what it took to protect herself.
The way they say "swear" just to get the info is classic sibling tactics 😂😂 down to the micro-expressions and tones
LOL! Sibling of a large family. My brother loves calling me Yenta
Sansa started to act like cersi all she wanted was to be queen, which is why she wanted to marry Joffrey, she was jealous when Jon was named king of the north, and she was jealous of dany
Nope. Sansa was actually in love with Jon and vice-versa. Dany was intimidated by Sansa. The only thing Samsa was jealous of what thinking that Jon loved Dany which he didn't, AT ALL. He used her. She held the poor guy hostage !
she wasn’t jealous of the murderous narcissist who killed innocents.
@@lrlavalais2068 you think Sansa was in love with Jon and that Jon was in love with Sansa? You need to tell me where you get your drugs cuz that seems like some good shit

Arya and Bran kept their promise but Sansa didn't. I remember Arya questioning Sansa intentions about Jon when put him at the bottle front and claim victory later. Arya would have took her face for Jon.
While originally watching it, I couldn’t believe they cut away from Sansa’s and Arya’s reaction to hearing the news. I was so looking forward to seeing their reactions and D&D just had to subvert my expectations.
I would never trust Sansa
Bran the omnipotent vegetable
This got me 😂
And the omnipresent vegetable. 😁
Perfectly put!!😂😂😂
how was he a vegetable if he could talk and move his upper body. a vegetable as no movement nor brain function.... like you
And Bran’s statement of, “It’s your choice,” was actually a manipulative move that took away Jon’s choice. If he hadn’t said that, then it would have been easier for Jon to steer the conversation away from his secret. Once Bran said that, if Jon had decided not to share his secret, then it would have sowed extra distrust between him, Arya, and Sansa as they were trying to establish this Stark generation’s new power base.
It would have been really cool to see what they could have done with Jon's character and the storyline had they gone just one more season. Letting other people find out who he was, etc.
Sansa just Played that game to remove Danny from the throne .
“Aye dun wan et” - Jon Snow, every 5 seconds of season 8
And Sansa, the true villain, betrays him. Worse than the Lannisters
For me Bran or the three-eyes-raven is the true villain. Sansa isn't. She reacts with mistrust due to her traumas.
@@audrey9108only the Jon Snow sequel will confirm the theory. I wonder why did it take Jon to kill Danaerys.
Had I been Jon, I would have asked Bran to warg on Drogon, take Danaerys to a height and then drop her 😂
@@abhishankpaul Well, I think the magic in Drogon is too powerful for Bran. If he could've warg on him, he would do it.
So did Bran and Tyrion. But I guess Bran isn't really Bran now, and the only things Tyrion actually ever did right in the show was save his own skin, so I guess that makes sense.
Jon's the one who betrayed himself, he's willing to allow his men and ~1 Million in KL to die for Dany and another civil war.
If Jon truly didn't want the secret out, he should have kept his own mouth shut and not tell Dany.
Jon usally apologized everything people have done to him, that in every scene someone asked for forgiveness he replied ‚there is nothing to forgive‘ but in the last farewell, when Sansa - the oathbreaker - asked for forgiveness he did not reply on that. Sansa is not a real Stark, she doesn’t have the passion, share their values or kind by nature. She grasps to power and commands her subordinates like a Lannister. I hoped she died
He has more of her mother's side in her, Jon, Arya, Robb, they all had the Stark side in them, and it showed a lot.
@@Darqshadowno shot. Jon mirrored Ned more than any of the siblings. Sansa was a direct example of Cat and Cersei combined
Exactement les seuls enfants Stark qui ont hérité des valeurs et des principes de Ned Stark sont Jon, Arya et rob, et bran même si il devient vite la corneille.
I hope so, too. Can't stand her, and I hated when she was crowned queen of the North. They tried to make that moment as special or equivalent to when Robb & Jon were declared King in the North, but it didn't have the same effect for me. It just annoyed me knowing that she got what she wanted...lol.
Let's not forget that she also declared the North and Independent nation from her brother's new Kingdom. She was consumed by allure of power and likey became the next threat that Bran had to deal with.
Ned stark kept that confidential for more than 15 years and sansa for just 15 minutes 😂
Technically Jon is the true heir since Rhaegar was the first born heir to Aerys and Jon is the son of Rhaegar it’s not even about sex cause Jon is a part of the heirs line
Jon didn’t want the throne and gave it up to Daenerys similar to Aemon (which I hope is his actual name in the books)
Jon was the only LIVING child of rhaegar, indeed sex did matter but at the same time really didn't
How and why?? Why should grandson gets to be a king when the daughter of the king is still alive
@jannatshekhawat7490 children of the crownprince ( rhaegar) come before sisters/brothers of the crownprince. If the crownprince had no children, the heir would be his brother or sister
Prince that was promised ❤️🙌
D&D decided to make show Sansa a bit more similar to her character in the books. Won't keep a secret if that will serve her own benefits and no matter who will die because of this.
The Lady of Winterfell, a Stark, breaking a sworn promise she made in front of a wierwoood tree 10 min after she promised not to. Also Sansa and Arya hearing about the biggest and most important piece of news in the entire story HAPPENS OFF SCREEN????? I just can’t believe what D&D did to this show. It makes me sad and angry
I think the most underrated part of this show is these vows...
They are so romantic and beautiful ❤
Arya was just my favorite, loved them all but Arya was the best, Jon Snow 2nd on my list.

She is the only one un the whole show with a concept
beyond intrigue and power maneuvers. Their plan with the death list against all evil people is a comprehensible goal in a dream world dominated by the soul. In a waking world aware of a spiritual reality, however, revenge is left to the only one who can see into the hearts and whose revenge is therefore the only just one. God
John wanted to tell Sansa who he truly was, just so she’d know what it’ felt like to be beneath him…. The little brat cousin who made him feel so worthless & got called a bastard & got looked at like a demon by Katherine stark …. It would be so amazing to see Katherine & Sansa’s face if it would have got reveled before the ever left winter fell…. Ned Stark should have road for winter fell as soon as King Robert was laying on his death bed. Ned could have came back with the real king of the 7 kingdoms John, Eggon Targaryen! I literally got Goosebumps 🔥
If I had neutralized Ladybug just to be clapped by Chat Noir of all people, I would give up villainy. How much of a loser can you legit be while remaining motivated?
Sansa meant to keep that promise because she loved Jon because she loves her family. I think telling Tyrion also showed that she sees him as family, as they are married, in a way. She didn't want Daenerys to destroy everything and Jon killed Daenerys for that reason and because she would have killed Sansa. As girls, they would have been friends, but they were not girls any longer. She probably also thought about Ned and how that secret never saved him.

Why would he be called Aegon? Rhaegar and Elia's son was called Aegon and if he wanted to emulate the conqueror and his sister wives, there was already a Rheanys and a Aegon it should have been some varient of Visenya.

@@babyphoenix246 but that's the only variation of Visenya's legacy. Maybe that's why he isn't called Viserys.

Because that was the name of the prince who was promised. That was the name of the prophecy. His father was obsessed with the prophecy. Jon was the prince that was promised he did bring peace and saved everyone from the “ white walkers” .
