its tough! trust me I KNOW! But I’ve been taking a trip down my pattern stash lane and I’ve realized I have a lot of amazing patterns that I have yet to make. Maybe do that, trust me it helps! Unless you are going to buy just one and make it right away!
I do enjoy a hard copy but some days I want the quick satisfaction of print and sew. Or I do use pdf patterns quite a bit when I know there will be a lot of adjustments (like with pants) but I do enjoy a good ol' fashioned printed pattern.
wow i cannot imagine wearing a dress made with 9 yards of fabric (plus like, what...4 for lining???) it must weigh a ton. i almost made a summer dress that used 4 yards but caught myself in time. i just don't want to feel weighed down in my clothes.
For sure the fabric will have to be something sheer or VERY lightweight because it IS a ton of fabric. I haven't opened the pattern but I wonder if there is a way to scale down the amount of fabric used. But I haven't ventured into even opening the pattern and seeing how it all works so I can adjust. But yeah, 9 yards of fabric is no joke PLUS the lining fabric and then interfacing. Its not a cheap endeavor.

Thanks Lynn. I had to go look that up because Im not one to pay attention to make up (or spend tons of money in it). But its Revlon 460 Blushing Mauve (revlon Super Lostrous Lipstick)
@@lynnmoroz4358 if you can't find it there is also Blush Pop from Clinique and I get that at Target! At $23 is the MOST I would ever spend on a lipstick.

I’m a beginner sewer, I bought myself a manikin ready for close fitting patterns. I don’t enjoy pdf patterns I much prefer hard copy’s.

I love the vogue pattern with cream skirt and light blue top. Would that pattern to be the Sew-A-Long.
That pattern is out of print :( But once I make it I will for sure write up a blog post on it with any adjustments I've made and pictures of it.
I'm thinking of doing a sew along for the Vogue Skirt pattern with the grommets. Light beige skirt with the white square neckline top.

She’s still here! We celebrated Mom’s birthday today and my daughter’s graduation. We’ve had a great time. Two more days with her
