What was your favorite pizza when you were a kid?

It was called Pizza Parlor in a typical shopping center in the mid 1960s.
Walked in like a corridor with a window, so you could watch the pizza makers tossing the dough
All wooden walls, with a brick fireplace, wooden tables, with dim lighting, with an old film projector, showing old Laurel & Hardy, Little Rascals and other classics, with a pinball machines in the back.
A large Pepperoni pizza was so good back then.

People who never had Pizza Hut in the 70’s, 80’s don’t have a clue how freaking good it was!

Absolutely agree! Pizza Hut in the 70s and 80s had a special charm and flavor that's hard to replicate. There was something magical about the experience of dining at Pizza Hut back then that just can't be matched by today's standards. Those memories of enjoying a delicious pizza with family or friends are truly unforgettable. It's a taste of nostalgia that's hard to find anywhere else!

Pizza and memories. This was a great video. I really enjoyed it. Growing up In Northern Illinois, Chicago-Land we had so many great Pizzeria's. Mom & Pop shops and the National Chains of course. They were all fantastic. 🍕🍕🍕🍻😊

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's wonderful to hear that the video resonated with you and brought back fond memories of the pizza scene in Northern Illinois. Mom & Pop pizzerias always have a special place in our hearts, don't they? And the diversity of options, from local favorites to national chains, truly made each pizza experience unique. If you have any favorite memories or stories from those days, I'd love to hear them! 🍕😊

Pizza hut in the 80s and early 90s was so much better than today.

This may be because memories of certain periods can be colored by nostalgia and create the illusion that things were better before. However, there are other factors that may have influenced perceptions such as changes to the menu, food quality, service and atmosphere. It is important to remember that everyone has different preferences and memories, and for some, a modern Pizza Hut may be just as enjoyable as it was in the past.

@FoodHistory524 I think it has a lot to do with quality of ingredients.

In 81 I started working for Pizza Hut. Every ingredient was the same as grocery stores sold. Just bigger sizes.
Everything was natural and real. A few years later the ingredients came premixed, so I guess they were the same.

Ray's still has 3 locations including Times Square.

Yes, Ray's Pizza still holds a place in the hearts of many pizza lovers, especially with its iconic locations like the one in Times Square. Despite the changing landscape of New York City, Ray's Pizza has managed to maintain its presence and continue serving its loyal customers. It's impressive how certain establishments can withstand the test of time and remain relevant in such a dynamic city. Have you had the chance to visit any of the Ray's Pizza locations recently?

How does the accent change so wildly in one video? I swear the narrator said Pizza Hoot. But only once. Also, they pronounced America as Am-er-ica. Is this AI?
