It’s kinda like a salmon run splatfest, they added warmth to the square and some eerie music, lotta work was put into this.
I absolutely LOVE how much attention salmon run is getting in this game

I see so many people being pissed about the big run being hard and not getting in the top ranking but I personally enjoyed it even tho I only got a bronze statue. Tbh wahoo world as a SR map is so fun lolll I wish we could keep it for salmon run

Was really hoping that it would be 6-8 players, with the bigger stages. But they made it work
I absolutely adored the atmosphere of this, the eerie feeling, the feeling of literally going to war and a state of emergency pretty much declared with helicopters going out one by one to fight off the salmonids, a chopper patrolling splatsville plaza, and one waiting to pick up workers on top of the shoal building. The lack of music in the plaza, the slight fog around, the ambient sounds, and the loud helicopter sound of the one flying over, presumably taking a crew out to a shift at wahoo world? (Idk where the chopper would be coming from if the grizzco building is right there yknow. But maybe it's one from inkopolis bc I assume the location at inkopolis hasn't shut down and has turned from using boats to helis and that the devs just didn't think about the s2 maps being in big run (despite the first map being FROM S2 LOL)) so yeah those are my thoughts

Wahoo World as a Salmon Run map was an amazing experience and I wish the salmons could keep it LOL. I got top 5% and overall I adored how eerie this event was, from the creepy music to the pink sky/lighting

Grillers to me is harder to fight on Wahoo than Glowflies, with the space so open and flat they have too much room to spawn so many Smallfry it makes it hard to attack them directly, and they can cover space really quick. Really there are no walls or ledges to escape or camp them like even on Spawning Grounds or Maroon Bay, except on the two sides but that is too far away from the basket to safely transport the eggs over there.
Yeah. And there’s nowhere good too run. And teammates panic like crazy.
It’s true, both are super hard on Wahoo, specifically on high tide. There’s no walls or higher ground to make things easier.
I like how everyone says that the Salmonids can keep Wahoo World, and once we actually played on it in Big Run, everyone agrees that it should've been a Salmon Run map.

Okay hear me put salt spray rig as a salmon run map.
Saltspray would make an amazing SR map, keep the big "hill" as the main area, and expand that chunk to a proper SR map, it'd be siiiick

Dude, you hate the Cohoks, but the Small Fries always get on my nerves, because they kill me when I can't see them, after everyone else has already roughed me up.
The cannon is a trap. You can send a bazillion eggs, but it takes longer to dunk the eggs into the basket. The one player at the basket has to fight oncoming enemies and bosses while collecting and tossing eggs.
Late, but not neccecarily: you can do a 2-2 split (2 people on basket, 2 people on shore) and generally be fine. Also the cannon is great for delivering eggs from shore runs (killig big shot, stinger, flyfish) and getting some other bosses like Steel Eels that you would normally fight closer to the basket.

Cohocks are my saviors, they yeet me too higher ground. On the other hand chums bully me and small fry's are even worse because of their op buff.

BIG RUN was pretty fun I like it
Big run was my first time playing salmon run, aside from the tutorials in 2, and I kinda got addicted. Then, it ended, and I played my first normal match, and got glowflies the first time, then it got ruined for ever so slightly :/

Probably ignoring you because of the spam. I get the frustration, but spammers are equally frustrating.
5:04 I've faced Cohozuna at least four times since I bought this game back in early September, but I've only managed to beat him once.
That’s not many times. I’ve fought over 100 times and not even won half. Most of those times I was the only one alive for a good bit. It’s entirely about luck and teamwork. But you don’t get that often. It’s pretty much gambling.

Wahoo went from the worst multiplayer map to the best salmon run map JUST LIKE THAT. give it back to the salmonids i beg you.

Yes! They can keep wahoo world. The salmonids made it actually fun to play on!

I missed 2 big run because i got the game late but i hope they add cohozuna to the devorations because i would love to add it to my locker!
Wahoo World was the best salmon run map ever IMO and I wish the devs would put big run maps regularly in rotation. The reasoning could be that once salmonids break through once, they can break through again easier and more frequently
The fact that we’ll probably never play on Wahoo World for SR in regular rotations is lame as hell, especially since it’s not really as grand as a splatfest…

@@hikaru9624 I don't follow any of the lore I'm just going off of speculation from the first event taking 2 months to arrive after the games launch

honestly tho I know everyone's saying it, but let the salmon keep wahoo, not only because it's not All That Great in multiplayer but also because it's a GODLIKE map in salmon run, it's one of the only times I've properly liked how high tide feels to play, the fact that mid tide is the unique part of the map rather than low tide is interesting, and I just overall find it really nice there. I hope at least we get the ability to go back there later in the game's lifespan like with Splatoon 2's shifty stations :P

I believe that the could make big run better by adding a new boss every new big run instead of just putting us on a pvp stage w/ random weapons.
It was fun, but I got to EVP 200, reached 149 as my high score (we had a great line up) and just stopped

@@Al0neStillAlive I can tell you why I’m not a fan of it personally. I got that map so often in turf that I got bored to tears with the thing. And I’m pretty sure it’s design is not the best? I mean middle is a choke point if you can hold it.
