- Splatoon 3 "BIG Big Run" was a Special event that introduced the Triumvirate where ALL King Salmonids teamed together against me and tried there very best to destroy me and my good times with the new Grizzco Roller.
This is how i almost didn't survive Splatoon 3 Big Run.

Tip for the Triumvirate if it ever comes back: try to get Megaladontia to bite Horrorboros's Booyah bomb. It dose significant damage to both of them and removes the booyah bomb from Horrorboros taking up room on the stage.
That's actually a really good tip. I never expected that Megaladonta could damage the others. A bit late now, since the event is over, but maybe someday...
this, and also try to get boris first no matter what. technically it is optimal to get joe second, but it's just as easy to get coho second using joe's damage, so it doesn't matter too much from what i've seen, just always get boris first and you *should* be fine
fun fact: joe also just eats other bosses. you'd rather have him eat the other 2 kings in triumvirate but you can use him to eat bosses when he is solo
Also keep Coho near the two to take damage from Joe's bite and Boris' Bomb so that you can basically focus all of your weapon and egg attacks on Joe only, rarely attacking coho.

The Triumvirate is so hard! I no-lifed Big Big Run this weekend and got to EVP 999 before I was able to get a win on them.

I got so f*cking close to clearing the Triumvirate at HLM. Literal milliseconds away from that health bar dropping, and with double Grizzco Stamper and Slosher too. If we don’t get that boss again I WILL be finding a Nintendo executive to blackmail into putting it back because I need my revenge
Hopefully we get a Grizzco Splatling to take down the Triumvirate.
Friendship ended with Grizzco dualies, Grizzco roller is my new best friend.
Nintendo somehow SERVED with making the most powerful weapon being also the most fun weapon to use.
Now that I think about it, the speeding brush/rollers challenge from several weeks ago is probably a sneak peek into what the Grizzco roller could be like. It’s like they made the challenge into a weapon! (And also giving us a taste into what it’s like being the Octo Samurai with their octo roller!)

For all future triumvirate. Each king has a way of damaging the other. Megalo damages with its bite, Coho with its jump attack, and Boris with the bomb. keeping them all near each other for each attack can make them continuously hit each other. megalos bite insta-bursts boris' bomb. Cohos is the least reliable since its pretty much random.
I was SO MAD that i couldnt get that damn roller. Two waves in a row all three of my other teammates got it but not me

it would be so much fun if there would be a special event where you could use the grizzco weapons in turf or other game modes
This is the first time in a few I didn’t get the gold (highest 128) it felt so much more difficult this time around. I don’t know why? I feel like we kept getting really bad weapon groupings. We rarely had consistent fire and lots of “only roller” rounds which were hard with tons of fish sticks.
if anything it was easier because g roller clears chum, big shots, steel eels and scrappers quickly. the trick is to play early when all the good players are still in the evp 200 range. otherwise they leave to 700+ and youre left with the leftover garbage

I was so happy with my solo queue performance this Big run! I got to Evp 999, beat the Triumvirate at Hazard Level Max, and got in the top 2% by getting a high score of 180 eggs! My favorite big run so far.

They should have it where there are specific salmon run buffs depending on what you wear.
triumvirates are comparable to the april fools splatfest: 90% of the focus is the swimming and fighting thing fighting each other while the big dude is kinda just there.

I honestly can't believe they thought it was a good idea to have all 3 bosses when people still have a hard time taking down 1. Even with the weapon buff you still need to kill normal bosses to stock up on eggs and thats a pain in the butt when too many spawn.
I didn't care when I got the silver trophy, seeing people zooming around the stage especially on glowflies was the best thing ever and made it all worth it! 😂

I have a question for the BIG Big Run in general. Am I the only person that calls it Big Ass Run and not BIG Big Run?
I just want to make a Public Service Announcement. Please, for the love of God, for the sake of not driving people like me crazy, PUT THE GOLDEN EGGS IN THE BIG SHOT'S CANNON! It launches them directly to the basket. Some people just don't know you can do this, but whatever the reason, it drives me crazy when people see an egg right next to the Big Shot cannon, pick it up, and then feel the need to run it all the way back up to the basket when, functionally, they can put it in the basket without taking even two steps away.
I mean no ill will or insult, and I know that (generally) the people reading this don't either. I just wanted to put that out there. I see people do that a lot despite how long the game has been out. Thank yall for your time.

I almost beat the bosses. Had two dead and last boss was one shot but we ran out of time 😢 i got the gold high score for the first time tho!!!

I'm still so upset, cause my first team for the Big Big Run had the boss fight, and we won on the last possible frame or something, but it didn't count!
The game drains all the health bars for the king salmonids when you lose for some reason. Maybe you barely didn't make it and saw the health drain visual.
@@roykooper902 I really wish I could have clipped it. I kid you not, down to the last boss, last 10 seconds, last inch of health. I had the grizco charger, and in usual clutch moments, I can’t get my ink to get that last shot in. Thought it was all over. Pretty sure I saw the Boss Salmonoid defeated up top in that last few frames before the end. Maybe it was the latency / lag, but it didn’t count. Still insane for a first run, either way.

The biggest downside to the Grizco roller is that swimming seems sluggish after it. Such a let down.
