    Thats an awesome solution for someone like myself , thats new to the boating world and realizing its not cheap. I was going to have LED strips installed by the pros. I didnt feel comfortable drilling holes into my baby or mucking around wires. This way, no holes, no more worrying in the middle of the night wondering if the boy/girls listened/remembered to turn off all the boat's lights so not to drain the battery, and enough colours to please everyone. And my favorite, money stays in the bank for my deep winter golfing trip fund. Thank-you !!!

    👍Nice. 💝 I have those that I have strategically placed around the boat and another similar set that are “cup lights”....they sit down in the cupholders (for the boat & they work in the car too....which is nice at night on road trips). It’s nice for adding fun light on the boat and I give/assign people a color and that’s where they put their drink so there’s no confusion. 😉

    I did this to my 22 foot Hydra sport and I LOVE IT I would not recommend that level of Velcro it’s too weak when I had my family in my boat they would knock off the lights really easy so what I did was get a 10 pound proof black Velcro patches for like a garage and cut them in half and stuck them on to my boat I can takeoff the lights when I want and replace the batteries and it worked out pretty well other than that great video!!!

    Works great! I did this on my boat before I saw your video. I have had them for 3 or 4 years. It works well. I rarely go out at night, maybe 1 or 2 times a year. Works fine. If it was once a month or once a week, I would not want to change the batteries.
    Also, I used permanent 3M auto tape, so it holds up when I go out in the ocean. It works!

    I have achieved a perfectly flush mount with these lights in my VR6. I bought the clear 3M Scotch mounting strips from Home Depot, and then used 2 layers on the back of the light to overcome to raised outer edge. It stuck perfectly and flush to the boat. Also I bought rechargeable energizer batteries to save on batteries. I’ll report back on how long their charge lasts.

    They do not have these on your link anymore. But I found a package of 10 multi colored lights a bit smaller then yours. Gonna put them on my 16.5 foot stabicraft. I figure 3 inside the gunnels each side. one on back part for preparing lures & bait. Two up under cudy cabin part. & one at helm of boat. Bought long velcro strip & will cut it to fit each piece. Great idea. Better then paying out $1K drilling holes & wires. The ones I bought were $20 for 10 of them & have the round batteries already in them.

    These look like a cool solution for my inflatable catamaran, but a question:
    Your remote was changing all of the colors at once. Do you have to “isolate” the remote...real close to one light and get away from the others...to individually change the colors?
    I would use one red and one green on the front of each pontoon for the required navigation lights, and 4 at white for illumination.
    Makes more sense than a $175 Navisafe kit!!!

    • @Bsaint

    Will they work as under water lights

    • @Bsaint
      @Bsaint  3 года назад

      They work underwater yes as stated in the video they are designed to be waterproof aka submerged. However they most likely won’t be bright enough to be used as under water boat lighting and I would not recommend putting puck lights under your boat.

      As many as you want. 1 remote will control all or just one depending on how far away you point it

    10 months later, question is, how long did the batteries in the lights last?

    • @Bsaint
      @Bsaint  3 года назад +1

      for me around 6 weeks as I don't use them for more then maybe 3-4 hours at a time and I'm only out at night maybe once or twice a week.

    How do the 3m strips hold up through the elements

    • @Bsaint
      @Bsaint  4 года назад +1

      3M double sided tape is VERY strong, they use it to install spoilers and components on cars that see high speeds, water etc. As long as you clean the area it is not a problem at all.
