Thank you for the info. I am waiting on my press to arrive today. Your video was very informative. One thing that I did notice was the ghosting on the top and bottom. Have you come up with any remedies for the ghosting? I plan to use my press to sell tumblers and want to provide a good product. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your response.
Thanks John! I’m figuring out that more tape is the key. Just being sure that your paper is tightly wrapped and snug against the tumbler. Good luck to you and I hope you do great in your sales!
If you look at the side while it is closed you will see there is a gap so it is best to turn the tumbler

Hi Karen!! How about stainless steel mug, would also work?
It would depend on the diameter. A 30 oz skinny fits so if it’s larger in diameter than a 30oz then I’m afraid it won’t.

It most definitely fits a 12oz…. Wine tumbler. I don’t have a 30oz in stock to try it out. Near the end of the video I showed a few different sizes that I tried. I don’t know the diameter of a 30 oz but nothing any larger than the diameter of a 15 oz Cricut mug.
The website says it fits 10-30oz tumblers and mugs

Hi, i heard you need a special printer thats a sublimation printer. Makes me sad as ive got a canon ink jet printer and im not sure if its compatible.

Yes… you definitely need a sublimation printer. The one I have is an Epson F170. I purchased it through Makerflo. It comes with the in and it’s really easy to set up. It’s a true sublimation printer.
You do not have to have a cricut to do sublimation.
You must purchase sublimation mugs though. The mugs have a special coating that the sublimation ink adheres to. I also get a lot of my mugs through Makerflo or HTVRont.

Their instructions do say to rotate 180 and do the press again
Sometimes I rotate sometimes I don’t. It depends on how tightly the machine closes down on my tumbler.

Were you not worried about bleed through? I would’ve wrapped a plain paper around it as well to protect the press from ink. Is that not necessary with this??
Honestly, no I wasn’t. I’ve never had bleed through happen even with my old press. I see a lot of people wrapping them in parchment paper or butcher paper or Teflon different things but again that’s never happened to me.
You can press just the ends to get rid of the ghosting
Yes…. That’s what I’ve been having to do. A little bummed to have to do that though.

You can not sell items with ghosting though.
All of thesehave the same issue as not enough pressure on the ends
Agreed! I think it needs more pressure at the ends.
Mine comes soon not dispatched but think im going to cancel it as i had bad experience with their other autopress
well mine came and it is total crap. i messaged them via ebay stating it must be faulty as there is not enough pressure and stated 11oz mugs barely fit, i opened a return case....they messaged and refunded me fully and said i could keep the machine lol

If the heat press was an indication, it will take quite a while because they’re pre-orders. The good thing is they’re customer service is very responsive & replies to emails fairly quickly.
I believe they will be back in stock 10/22 per the email I received today.
