great new product, much better features than my cricut mini press. Ill be getting this and hopefully the new manual heat press comes out in a 16x20 size so i can buy that too. abolutely love this company, they pay attention to what their customers want and need. They listen to product feedback so their products get better and better. Great job HTVRONT Team
@MakingwithMarilyn yeah I was dubious about trying their sublimation paper as I'm used to using A-sub brand but I have to say HTV Ront sublimation paper is great....
Thank you for this video. I totally agree with with the taping has a lot to do with the results. People talk about ghosting with this machine but then they don't tape enough in my opinion
Hello Marilyn. I was drawn to you because we share the same first name.🙂 I'm so glad I watched this! Although I'd watched others, I used your time and temperature and a close facsimile to your taping. I went with your placement of the seam while pressing, in front and in back instead of at top and at bottom. I also used the butcher paper as a cradle. My tumbler came out PERFECT! It was only my second time using the HTVRONT Tumbler Press. The first time was good, but your method is less work and better results. Thank you.
Hi Marilyn. I like the look and convenience of this auto tumbler press. I do sublimation tumblers but I do them in my French door convection oven that I keep in the garage. I’m thinking about getting one , then I can press tumblers in my craft room. That would be a game changer. 😊
That would be nice to be able to do them in your craft space. Tumblers are my favorite thing to sublimate. I just love them. When I started, I hated them b/c it took awhile to figure out what worked for me:)
The best demo I've seen on this tumbler press. I just bought the garment press and ordered the ecotank 3230 today. I'm primarily a sewer and quilter so looking to see what I can do with sublimation and fabrics, and flat objects to start with. The tumbler press looks like it works really well. Have you tried using a strip of shrink wrap around the top and bottom instead of tape...wondering if that might be easier for people who may have arthritis or dexterity issues. 🤔
I got an email offering a coupon and materials to take a back order, so I did... I am impatient but I like free more 😂 Thank you for showing everyone how great this will be Marilyn... I think.... just clicked play 🥰
Very nice Marilyn I have the HTVront tumbler press I love it. I’m glad I came across your video now I know why I had a little ghosting at the bottom taping is important. Thank you for sharing
Hello Marilyn 👋🏽. This was a very informative video. You did an Amazing Job and your tumbler came out Beautiful. I'm definitely going to try your taping method. Question: What brand of rotary cutter are you using in this video? Great Job and Video. ❤😊
I ordered mine 3 weeks ago from HTVRont but it arrived with plug pin broken. I was so disappointed at the same time desperate to complete my first skinny cup tumblers. So I decided to replace the plug and get on with it. I found out that it had delay in turning on or setting button. The first tumbler was okay but the setting I used was the wrong setting so I went back to watch a video by HTVRONT which shows that timing is 240 seconds at 390 whiI did. This seems too hot as I noticed spot burning. In all, am okay with it but will have to look for another tumbler press by a different company sooner as us this one as a backup tumbler press
The same thing happened to me. I got my press for Christmas as a surprise and opened it and the pins had snapped off on the plug. Hubby emailed Christmas night and had a reply in the morning asking if it was OK for them to send out a new one. New one turned up on NYE and the pins were bent! I could have cried. But hubby checked and was happy that they could be bent back and didn't need returning. They need to sort out how they package it.
I just ordered the HTV Ront (gave up on Cricut coming out with one) and will be following your method. Do you use the same time and heat for other brands of tumblers?
Hello Marlene! Thank you for watching the video. I tend to do less time and less heat these days. Often, I use 385 for 50 seconds, then rotate 180 degrees, then another 50 seconds. However, with other presses that have time and temp programmed for tumblers, I sometimes go with their pre-programmed time and temp. I feel very safe at 385 for 50 seconds, rotate, and another 50 seconds though on all tumblers.
I've never tried that, but it you do it, let us know if it works. Depending on the color, etc., I would worry that the marker might stick out more than the scratch, but I'm really not sure. Thanks so much for watching.
I just converted a printer and purchased the htvront tumbler press. I thought i could just use Design Space. can you do a tutorial on Inkscape. I am clueless and would love to see the process. I will search to see if anyone out there is doing tutorials. Thank you for sharing
I think I have done a video on printing them but would be happy to do one again. I could focus more on the printing process. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Marilyn, there are so many people making videos on RUclips so I have to say, I didn’t know about your channel, but I did find you when Patrice did her live with you, Eve and Delonda and you all did the bling video. Yes it was so good,I stayed up all night with you all. It was soooo much fun. I also ordered your Me vs Me template. I’m a htvront girl too. I love their sub paper, I have the their heat press machine and I’m waiting on the tumbler press to come in two days. So you don’t have to use shrink wrap paper with this tumbler? I have to say You four are my go to for everything craft. Thank you for sharing. Kraftykeyz85
Thank you so so much for your very positive comment!!! I have only used shrink wrap when sublimating in an oven. I really love using the tumbler presses, but I am a big tape person:) I have gotten much better results by the way I end the tops and bottoms of the tumblers and how I tape them. I was very frustrated with my first few in the press that I wondered why I even got one. Now, it's the only way I sub them unless I want to show the oven method on a video.
I don't have a favorite among the auto presses, but I do prefer a manual press to an auto press since I can adjust the pressure. I have a bit of a control issue and I like to be able to control the pressure myself:)
@@YarelisDávila-g5r so a solid back tumbler? If so, yes you can. when I first started submitting tumblers, I had several that didn’t turn out too well. So I would sublimate them solid black, and then use other media on them like vinyl.
If the paper you have doesn't have an obvious back side, the package should tell you which side is the print side. Since it apparently doesn't, I would print a small design on one side and try to sublimate it onto a very small piece of polyester fabric to see. Then I would mark the packaging with the print side. Good luck with this.
I have not tried a ceramic mug in this press, but I have other presses. The ceramic mugs tends to take a bit longer b/c it takes the ceramic more time to heat up. They hold cold longer than the metal tumblers.
@@MakingwithMarilyn thank you for the response,, i tried sublimating mugs on htvront (full print), I taped the edges as well but still get ink smudges.. maybe you can do a video about mugs, too ? :)
Has anyone else get this sub paper jammed? I had to switch back to ASub for that reason, I have a converted Epson that gets jammed every time with this paper
Oh no, I'm so sorry! I love this paper, but I would not love it if my printer jammed with it. ASub is excellent too, so I'm glad your machine doesn't jam with it. Thank you for watching!
I don't have a link to these tumblers. I got them off of Alibaba a long time ago. I really prefer Realkant or Hiipoo tumblers better. I think they turn out a bit more vibrant. Let me know if you want a link to them. Thanks for watching!
I bought the tumbler used in the video off of Alibaba. However, I prefer other brands that I have gotten through Amazon. In particular, Hiipoo is a brand that I have used and really like. There is actually a $10 coupon on Amazon for these right now. amzn.to/3SbMsTN I've used a couple of other brands that were very good also, but I have mainly used these two brands.

This is such a thorough tutorial. I'm going to try all of this.
Thank you, Delonda!
Thank you for the tutorial, I finally had a tumbler with no ghosting.
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. I know I use a lot of tape but it seems to work for me so I keep doing it:)
